Yeah... its like this is a War Song from another time and place... and we got to hear it... almost like we stumbled upon Ghosts of the past only to realize after it was all over we was standing in an empty room.
I can't even imagine what it must be like to hear this live with Staleys voice blasting through the mic . Insane vocals . If only he was alive to see how much people love him
I dont think a lot of people realize that he wasnt just a screamer and yelling one way show. This clarity really is proof of the diversity and precision of his voice.
Yea, that's what makes him better than Cornell who would just scream loud when he was in Soundgarden. Layne had a perfect technique and his control was unmatched.
@jackglinsky4305 in studio he was great. He never came close to that power and intonation live. There's tons of brutal footage of Chris live. Layne lost some power as his addiction worsened but his intonation was as good as I've ever heard live. Chris got better with age as far as intonation but never sounded album quality to my knowledge.
Yeah I don't entirely like the studio version, its amazing and well mixed but for some reason Jerry's vocals are waaay louder and more present than laynes on a lot of tracks just throughout their album career. Layne vocals feel like they've had a lot of the fundamental taken out I think they should be more upfront.
@Adam Barnett I agree, live at the more in my opinion was the best vocal quality I found online, Laynes voice shined at every note, this is the first time I've heard this upload and super badass quality, thanks for the upload!
Any good band does. I just can’t believe how long it took me to find stuff like this from AIC. I always knew about unplugged and the Moore 1990, but there’s SO much shit out there and Layne is literally never off.
@@adambarnett7840 honestly i’m really partial to recordings where jerry vocals are noticeable because i think he’s a terrific, underrated, and pivotal part of AiC success. listen to them bones live at the kiel center 1996 and you can really hear jerry NAIL the chorus on the 2nd half where layne really let’s him handle it.
I would say Layne is the best vocalist that ever lived the his voice is unmatched live his breath control and his dips in his vocals and the high notes he can carry and the power just resonates off him I’ve never heard anyone sing that good and that consistently live and even the mtv live was amazing how he dialed back his power and he could sing very soft too RIP Layne

Yeah I will definitely do Love Hate Love. Might redo this one as well because there's more things I can do, I want to make it so you can really blast this shit in your car or something because AIC is just meant to be blasted at the highest volume.
