Don't worry mate, we will water for you. Take your time and don't push yourself too hard. In the meantime I will continue to watch some of your old videos!
Was that a reference to "Double K," the decade-old unfinished Gurren Lagann buddy cop webcomic? Of course it was. This is a channel of culture, after all.
As time goes, on I get more and more excited about your demo reviews than I get about the new batches of Steam demos! Love your videos man you're killing it
Power Pak is like an old ex: Shows up every once blue moon, but whenever she does - you know it's going to be very, very good. And this time he brought Mita along for the ride. Holy shit that looked interesting.
That entire Miside i was wondering "when does the spooky thing happen?", because it didnt seem like the type of game to highlight in a video like this. Literally went "there we go" when the rug was pulled. It's a shame; we've been pulling so many rugs that i've made it a habit to just expect it at this point. Cool game though! Same goes for the rest of the highlights.
To be fair, these sorts of games are leaning against the fourth wall and smoking a blunt at this point. I guess there's some number of people out there that have never played this sort of oddly specific "cutesy thing turns into dark existential horror" genre, but I'd imagine most players have done this dance several times and are just checking under tables and behind doors for the Big Scary Moment.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! As fans of Powerpak, we should refer to ourselves as Batteries. To recognise each other we should shout "I'm a Battery!" And pretend to hold up a battery of choice
Heck yeah, the power pak next fest vid! I have the demo for SAWB downloaded, but haven't gotten to it yet with all the other demos I picked out. I skipped over Pager, but I think I'll go back and look at it now!
I got inspired by your demo videos, so when this Next Fest started, i decided to try a lot of demos. I found some games I really want to play: -All in Abyss. I don't tend to play visual novels, but this one made me laugh, it's flamboyant, weird, and it has Texas hold 'em poker by way of Yu-Gi-Oh (the show, not the game). -Kill the Witch. 2D action game with amazing music and visual style, and it's also very hard. -System Purge: Hollow Point. 2D precision platforming in the ruins of an abandoned facility. I never played the first System Purge, but I think I will now.
Gotta admit I was quite put off by Windblown after learning how MT shafted Dead Cells for it and the devs on the way. It's hard to support a studio like that for me, esp since all the names are gone.
@@Kreyzn MT still owned Dead Cells so they stopped any future plan and development to redirect it to Windblown, while Evil Empire (the devs working on DC, had plans for content up to 2025) had no intention to stop. Almost all of the devs from MT that worked on DC are now in EE, and so new MT is just owning DC but didn't truly work on it, so that makes the "made by the developers of dead cells" for Windblown incredibly disingenuous.
Windblown: This looks very nice, I think I might get this and try to convince my other two friends ti purchase it to play once or twice 😂 (I fucking hate adulthood 😢) MiSide: Of course the cute anime girl is a yandere... Pager: I gotta be honest, thr aesthetic looks amazing but it isn't my cup of tea. Butcher's Creek: All I could though when watching the video was in Condemned. I would watch a playthrough but I don't think I vould play it 😅 Secret Agent Wizard Boy: This is amazingly funny. I think this is the best game from this batch.
The guttural noise I made when Secret Agent Wizard Boy came on screen, oh my god it looks *perfect*. Genuinely coulda just been another one of those old games and I would have been happy with it. I'm a little less interested in the Goat Sim-style physics jokes but still, that's a wishlist for sure.
Thank goodness for David S. I was so excited for Pnuemata this year, it was supposed to be a condemned inspired game and turned out to be a resi 7 asset flip. But he's got my back for greasy, gross melee horror.
Greetings. have you ever heard of the game on the quake engine called BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER 3: I OPENED A PORTAL TO HELL IN THE FAVELA TRYING TO REVIVE MIT AIA I NEED TO CLOSE IT? It's on steam rn, cheers
Ya know when you started the MiSide section my first thought was “this is going to be some sort of psychological horror”. I mean Doki Doki literature club did it once and I’ll never trust a game with anime girls again
Things have been slow, might be for a little while yet, but we have demos in the meantime.
Enjoy!

Take your time man!
the fact that the protagonist of butcher's creek scares me more than the random cultist guys makes me want the game
The Szymanski Family now being a gaming development family is the plot twist i did not expect...!
Damn you, David! YOU WIN AGAIN!
Was that a reference to "Double K," the decade-old unfinished Gurren Lagann buddy cop webcomic? Of course it was. This is a channel of culture, after all.
"A legally distinct wizards school...that's not covered in black mold" lmao

I was expecting the rug pull, but not HOW they pulled it.
@@Zel-Veraan Yeah, its a novel concept. Would probably make a great vr game!

I think if all you see in these types of games is the part where it turns scary than you are missing the point
Power Pak mentioned the "black mold turned JK Rowling into a nazi" theory and I just turned into the laughing policeman.
thank you so much for playing PAGER!
Already, MiSide is giving me certain vibes. Vibes that there's something much, much deeper here...
Looks very much along the lines of Slay the Princess.
I remember playing those old Harry Potter PC games, so seeing Wizard Boy was a massive surprise.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again!

I wasn't aware Mr. Szymanski had been tapped to make the next Dark Messiah game, but I'm ready for it.
Personally struggle to give demos a try, so I really appreciate videos like this that showcase some personal highlights.
I laughed SO hard at the Wizard Boy section. Your editing and voice-over and everything was top-notch. Thank you so much for brightening my day!
Heck yeah, the power pak next fest vid!

That PS1 demo disc music immediately takes me back
Miside looks interesting. I find very odd and cool games from your videos. Thanks Bro!
Thank you for the video! I always enjoy seeing you go through these
Nice use of Double K panel. It really does work every time.

TETRACHROMA is my favorite demo of this next fest.
Its Tetris mixed with Reversi in a beautifully retro wrapper.
and its flawless on steam deck
Those games look amazing, can't wait for them to be released!
....So, how much of your sanity has remained whilst you're tackling King's Quest III?
I really love your channel and also really love these videos, they really do help sort the wheat from the chaff on steam 😊
Minor Note: The original devs behind Dead Cells may or may not be still at Motion Twin.
Gotta admit I was quite put off by Windblown after learning how MT shafted Dead Cells for it and the devs on the way. It's hard to support a studio like that for me, esp since all the names are gone.
What does it mean I'm curious ? What does "MT shafted" means ? Did they steal some developer from them, or steal some ideas / copied ?

Hello, yes, 1 Mita please
PLEASE
Had to leave a like for the mold reference, 10/10.
Oh damn, my insomnia has blessed me with a glorious Power Pak video
You can really tell that the only roguelike he played was Hades
And just like that I got some new games on the wishlist. Thanks for the highlights, dood!

Can’t wait for the next Kings Quest video
I've been enjoying Sorry We're Closed, StarVaders, Ballionaire, and Great God Grove.

Welcome back! Shocked I want subscribed already, fixed that right away

2:19 Yes, I AM a dog person! How did you know?
Miside is creepy. Thank's for letting me know about the game.
wow an Empoisoned AND a Swumbles Big Jumbles!
Sulfur is all I've played this next fest
Thought this was going to be lewd games for a second there
Love this channel
aw yeah its power pak time
I've been excited for this video
10:21 dont forget my friendly neighborhood, or maybe his brother made that one.
edit: oh you didnt forget
Loved MiSide, first time I was invited to a girl's room
I love MiSide
Callisto protocol comment was brutal
Come on man it's already dead
Great vid!
Play MyHouse 2: The Housening
Ya know when you started the MiSide section my first thought was “this is going to be some sort of psychological horror”. I mean Doki Doki literature club did it once and I’ll never trust a game with anime girls again
I am frog.
Do you think someone will ever out do MyHouse in doom?
This isn't a question... this is a promise >:)
8:10 tried at 144p and it looks fine surprisingly.
Windblown being decent is remarkably frustrating given everything.
hey arkon, could you play project zomboid on stream?
if her name is Mita (me-ta) shouldn't it be Miside (Me-side)? or maybe he name is My-ta..?
good
I like that you make these, thank you daddy.
Communism for the algorithm!
No Keep Driving. Power Pak fell off.
