    If anyone’s wondering the t30s don’t fit with NZXT radiators. The only way I was able to close the case was to essentially friction fit the rad with fans without the rad bracket. This includes removing all fan pads and not using screws in the 4 middle fan mount screws.

    That behind the front cover 2.5 drive mount definitely a good one. The middle pin for the push pin panel honestly is useless due to the panel having four pin already at each corner. Lian Li should just ship the case with no pin on the middle one.
    Also it seems possible to double tape at least two 2.5 HDD at the front panel onto the case bone horizontally.

    I just built my A4 build a few weeks ago. Since I went with an SFX-l (1k watts and cheaper than same brand 750W SFX) I didn't have room on the bottom. I ended up storing 1 SSD between the video card and power supply, and the other one was the front cover trick. I checked the temps and the one behind the GPU doesn't get hotter than its normal operating temp so all is good. Wondering if I might could add a 3rd at some point. Not very pretty or secure but it's literally never moving and no one will ever see it.

    • @Jelvin

      Nice, can't believe you managed to fit an SFX-L PSU. Theoretically, you can technically have 3. Some tape would old it in place probably but nice to note

      @Jelvin  2 роки тому

      Whoa your hardware can get significantly hotter compared to mine. One of the person I referenced in the video, snapwich, had a 5950X and 3080 Ti so I think those T30's will give you a little bit more airflow IMO.

      #1 Recomenndation I can give is to undervolt your hardware.

    Great video. I am swapping some parts over to this case. I've been using the sandwich style case layout for a couple years and have found the silicone cable kits for the Corsair SF units to really help with keeping open space for air to move. Most of the kits are pretty affordable and make for a really easy time getting cables run.

  • @GetShrektMrKrabs
    @GetShrektMrKrabs Рік тому +2

    While nice for Sata drives, if you are spending $150 on a case with zero fans then you are likely well off enough to go full nvme. The pricing is close enough to warrant the massive performance improvements. Not only that but the extra space with the cables not having to be there for them. I'd rather invest in a thunderbolt external drive before I go back to sata if I needed more storage

    • @Jelvin
      @Jelvin  Рік тому

      That would've been my route but I just happen to those extra drives from my previous nonITX PC so I might as well just use it :) Also, prices for NVME's are more expensive in my country compared to our Western counterparts so I went with this instead.

    What if you built a 240mm open bottom stand, mounted two normal case fans in it in intake position, and set the pc on top of it? This way you could have proper intake on bottom, and exhaust on top. Especially if you leave off the bottom panel.

    • @Jelvin
      @Jelvin  6 місяців тому

      The intention of this video/my experiment was to see if there's anything I can do to add more components outside of what's instructed in the manual. If I wanted to have another 240mm stand then I'd just by a different case 😁😁

    Having the same case right now - the biggest issue is actually how to cool down DDR5 sticks as they are running pretty hot... Any tips idea how to mount additional fan?

    • @Jelvin
      @Jelvin  Рік тому

      Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's a way to mount any fans on top of the RAM sticks unless you're going for an air cooled build i.e. putting a thin radiator and fan combo on the CPU :(
      You technically only have the bracket at the top for fans and the fan at the bottom will only be a little effective if you have custom cables.

    Hello, i am planning to re-build my itx rig into this case (r9 5900x + 6800 XT) and i have a question regarding your AIO as currently i am using x63 and i need a smaller AIO.
    Can the Phanteks Glacier One 240 aio fans/pump be controlled in regards of the water temperature inside the AIO instead of the CPU temperature?
    Would you recommend choosing the Glacier One 240/ H100i Pro Xt/ EK Basic 240? (x53 is out of question as the radiator is 30mm thick and i just NEED T30 fans in there)

    • @Jelvin
      @Jelvin  Рік тому

      Hi! I'm not aware if it's possible to check the water temps of the AIO; at least I haven't heard about this being possible unless you're doing a custom water loop. Apologies for that!
      For the AIO, it really depends on the compatibility of the motherboard. I believe that as long as the pump block fits and doesn't bump into any parts e.g. heat sinks, you're good to go. As for the recommendation, I can only vouch for the fitment of the Glacier One since that's the one I have but I've read that it's easier to put in an H100i and EK Basic since it doesn't have any accessories.

    • @Jelvin
      @Jelvin  2 роки тому

      The only thing impeding the fitment was the center metal bracket that’s supporting plate for the motherboard and GPU mounts.
      The T30 configuration should fit if you remove the anti-vibration pads in the fans. If you don’t mind the radiator bracket bending a bit, it’ll fit with a little bit of resistance.

    • @Jelvin
      @Jelvin  2 роки тому

      A couple of points
      1. You can't officially fit 2 120 slims at the bottom. You can put one but it needs a little hacking
      2. Based on the specs that I've read, the 40 series cards won't fit this case since the case can only accommodate GPU's less than 300mm in length. The 40 series cards announce are over that. But then again, the case can't accommodate thicker 3 slot cards
      3. I wouldn' t go for an SFFPC I were to get higher end components. I'd rather get an mATX or a full sized case + custom water cooling for that.
