EMDs have their own advantages.yes its right that GE has come up with far better and advance technologies but despite i think the noise problem is much more in GEs than EMDs as I've workd in these locos..
Yes I also not agree with noise thing GE slightly silent than ALCO but still Noisy than EMDs I think it is more to do with how exhaust is designed even GE and ALCO both 4 stroke they do not sound exactly same Their 4 Stoke chugging sound is diffrent
for the same size (displacement and cylinders) 2 stroke engine will generate more power as there is 1 powerstroke every 2 strokes vs 1 powerstroke every 4 strokes in the case of 4 stroke engines.

EMD is ELECTROMOTIVE DIVISION by GEneral Motors. ALCo is American Locomotive Division by ALCo till 1990's, then-to GE after multiple Bankcrupcy filing it ultimately became GE Diesel Under Wabtec Company.
Most of the reasons he explained in the video are theoritical, not practical reasons. Example - ekbar GE loco aur EMD loco dono ka samne jake noise check karna, kaunsa loco jyada noise produce karta hai khud pata chal jayega.

Here's The difference, Broad gauge is A Bit wider than Standard Gauge, How ever in America Our locomotives are as wide as broad gauge Locomotives, Because of their Load gauge size, American Locomotives standing over 16ft tall, India Locomotives are probably 14ft tall.

Unfortunately, ALCo technology used in their Locomotives is old. There is a reason why the manufacturing of ALCos stopped after WDM3D.
