    I like your attitude towards being respectful of others, even though you have every right to be there also! Enjoy your sweet new drone, I was shocked at how much quieter it was vs every other DJI drone. You surprised yourself with how easy it is. You did great job flying if it was really your first. Have fun buddy you’re gunna love it

      Thanks! No reason to be disrespectful to others for trying to enjoy their day. While we enjoy drone's, lots of people do not, especially people trying to enjoy the outdoors in peace. This was truthfully my first time flying a drone outside of the simulator and a test flight in my last video without the goggles. I crashed instantly without the goggles lol! Have a great day!

    Well done!
    I've been flying FPV planes for a few months now after flying RC for years. It's amazing how awesome it is. 😀

      Sure! Drone is a BetaFPV Pavo25(ELRS, I added the Caddx Vista Camera), DJI Goggles 2, Radiomaster Boxer, Race Day Quads Batteries. I film with my Iphone or Gopro Hero9(Media Mod, Tripod). Maybe ill do a video on my equipment, and the reason I chose these items be my first set up.

    Dont forget to pop up those 2 antennas on top of the goggles this will help with the video reception 😊

      Thanks! I started by getting a Radio and doing sims. It's cheap and easy if you have a computer, and a great way to test it out.

    Nice job man, I have 60hours on simulator, still crashed my 5inches for the first time flying.🎉

    • @rockyalpine
      @rockyalpine  6 місяців тому

      Thanks! I had maybe 10ish hours on the Tryp Simulator and it felt like a really natural transition. Also starting with a Cinewhoop and my set up(I have a video of my stuff), I think may be much easier than a 5in. I have also crashed it and smashed it up a few times, put it back together with some superglue lol. Its fun, life has been super crazy lately, but hope to make some more videos soon. Both FPV and just life stuff.

    simulator is amazing lol, i think i put 7 hours into liftoff before trying my avata in manual. Been looking at getting a HDzero setup for some tinywhoops indoors for winter.

      @rockyalpine  8 місяців тому

      Sweet! Ya, I would love a secondary set up for tinywhoops, but super happy with my starting set up! I used the TRYP simulator and felt is was fantastic for learning how to control a drone in real life.

    great video! but do not point the lenses of your goggles into the sun!! you'll burn the screen

      Thanks for the tip! I know you can't see it in the video, but I had the lens cover over the lens, and I try to keep it on when they are not in use or pointed away from the sun. Thanks for looking out!

    How Long did you play the simulator for before?

    • @rockyalpine
      @rockyalpine  3 місяці тому

      I probably had like 12 hours on simulator before I flew, but you can def do less and still feel comfortable. I do recommend it, made me feel good knowing I wasnt going to break it right away.

    Great, but please be sure to not get chopped by the props, I have some experience and I know how it can go instantly from no harm to severe injury. Launching from hand seems cool but it have its downsides too. As long as its a cinewhoop no critical issues as such but anything can go wrong.
    As always happy flying.

    HD FPV goes a long way in achieving good control. I have analog fpv and it sucks. Low resolution and tons of barrel distortion.

    • @rockyalpine
      @rockyalpine  8 місяців тому +1

      I agree! After doing some research I decided to start with the set up you saw in this video, for both versatility and practicality. I started with a Radio and a simulator, then saved for what I thought was the best starter set up with longevity. Also, no worries, everything is only getting better, save up and get the digital set up when you can. :)

    • @greedfox7842
      @greedfox7842 8 місяців тому +3

      most people get their opinions of analog from cheap cameras and even cheaper goggles, if you tried a set of high end analog goggles and a good racing camera you would love it. the video has basically no lag, you can feel it.

    • @rockyalpine
      @rockyalpine  8 місяців тому

      @@greedfox7842 Low latency would be really cool to feel, and maybe when I try racing or something similar Ill give it a go. For now, as a beginner, I am happy so far. :)

    • @Sleeperknot
      @Sleeperknot 8 місяців тому

      @@greedfox7842 agreed. But imagine you have HD view, on top of all that nice to have NFR, like low latency and all. Will still be better.

    • @greedfox7842
      @greedfox7842 8 місяців тому +1

      @@Sleeperknot you cannot have it all... the digital systems all have latency in the 50-130ms range. and really the point being that the quality of analog is dependent on the receiver screen quality and the lens of the camera, so analog can return picture that looks like digital. just don't judge analog because of the cheapest goggles and cameras on the market, actually try a set of quora or skyzones and a nice quad and you will actually love it. I personally went from digital to a set of $99 fatshark echo goggles for daily use because I prefer the simplicity of analog for most flying days.

  • @greedfox7842

    please be very careful with your goggles in daylight, sunlight can damage the screens.

    • @rockyalpine
      @rockyalpine  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the tip! Yes I had my lens cover on the goggles at the time it was in the sun, and I do my best to keep the lens out of direct sunlight.

  • @Unsub223

    Not bad, but needing to put your hat on with your goggles just look stupid, don’t worry about your hair . Your hat prevented you from putting up the antennas you were supposed to put up.

    • @rockyalpine
      @rockyalpine  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! Since this was my first time ever using the goggles, maybe you can cut me some slack! Lol. I wasn't so much concerned with my hair as I was the sun baking my face since I was directly facing it. Also, I'm used to looking stupid, it's my comfort place. :)
