You will find a very interesting pattern in every one of these buildings planned for China: none of them exceed 1,640 feet tall, and that is because China recently passed legislation banning skyscrapers taller than 500 meters. Don't get me wrong, 500 meters is _huge,_ enough to build a skyscraper with as much as 125 floors. As far as I care, a building's proposed height probably has to be 400+ meters to be counted on this list, as they are all supertalls.
What’s the point of building even more sky scrapers? Don’t we have enough? Is the future really about Trying to build more skyscrapers or is it about sustainableity?

Why do you think the RISE skyscraper in Mexico is being built after Tesla announced a factory in that city? Do you think Mexico can't have huge buildings with beautiful designs? It's much better than the willis tower and the empire state.
Something about many of the statements is that US is in decline. Probably not though, most US cities have been developed for over 100 years. Most of the rest of the world is just now developing modern urban cities with new infrastructure. There will be future projects in the US but the economics have to make sense. Example is China and the Evergrande collapse. Brand new cities that can house over a million people are empty. Prestige projects are neat and all but many times don’t make any economic sense.
Nothing like living in someone's house. Who are going to work in someone's house like who designs? They want to be in the same building as somebody else like. That's the stupidest thing i've ever heard
I don't like having the tallest tower of the USA built in the heart of tornado Alley. It's a horrible idea and it makes 1000s of people in danger there. So see what we mean there.
Tornadoes almost never hit downtown OKC, and it would literally be the dumbest flaw in the history of dumb flaws if it wasn't built to withstand tornadoes. Clearly someone either didn't grow up in OK or isn't educated.
OKC already has a tower nearly 1000' tall in Devon Tower. Seems to have done well over the past 11 years, including when the latest F5 tornado hit the suburbs in 2013. Downtown OKC never gets hit.
One WTC isn't even 1776' tall. It's actually 1332' with an 444' antenna "spire". Sears Tower is still the tallest building in the US/Western Hemisphere until Legends Tower in OKC (shown in this film) is built.
I will never understand why the US doesn't build tall skyscrapers like we use to 50 years ago
I think there's 2 reasons: one, people don't really want to pass the One World Trade Center, and two, there's an FAA ban on 2000+ foot buildings
Wym look at New York recently. Tons of massive buildings put up in Central Park.
@@RidleyWerla He means the US was building the tallest buildings, but now we barely make the top 10

Waste of money. Also 911 has people thinking twice about building super high skyscrapers

The Illinois needs to be build in Chicago 🔥🔥
Where would you put it though? Plus you’d have to at least cut the height in half
It would be great if you could make a list for each continent.

A lot of these are in China but i thought China stopped building about 500 foot because of the empty floors
I think they stopped new projects but maybe these were far enough into development where they got the pass to be the final wave

Yeah, the $40 billion going to Ukraine and countless more money going to house migrants would be better spent on helping the homeless.
They tried that in Denver, an extreme climate weather city, it massively failed.
