Damn that was fast. Super hyped for this heist. Combining Yacht Heist, Golden Grin Casino, Panic Room, and every crazy Vlad revenge heist all into one. It is quintessential Payday 2.
I've noticed that they've been reusing a lot of older ideas and giving them new spins, from heist concepts to objectives, and honestly I really like that. Bringing back THE BEAST, Breakouts, Mansion Hits, and yoinking an entire vault again, it's the wonderful bullshit that made me fall in love with payday.
@@YataTheFifteenth that's another thing too, we already have a ton of breakout heists. I don't think another one like hoxout is going to be happening, unless overkill runs out of ideas
The anticipation is definitely good. However i dont think its the best in the game. I believe stone cold's 2017 anticipation is the best in the game , mainly because it has a more serious tone and gives me goosebumps at the end will doing a great buildup for the assault.
This one feels more like a stilysh music heist when compared with Dark Light Strike and Deadeye, which have more bass sounds. And it makes sense cuz we're not gonna kill someone or rescue an almost dead person, we're just robing a panic room. Again.
I would say Gold Rush was a step down from Deadeye (not that Gold Rush was bad), Dark Light Strike was a step up from that, and I would say this one gives Deadeye a run for its money. I personally prefer Deadeye over Payback Roulette.
"Kinda regret keeping that anticipation end in, ruins the build-up to the assault phase imo ;(" Nah hoxti, its fucking perfect. Those 4 seconds of silence, when cops making last preparations for assault, gang setting up for defence, before all hell goes loose, into assault start, just *chief kiss*
@@SLAD3 You can hear the motif again from 4:44 to 4:59. And 6:16 to the end sounds like a remix of it, it even has the same synth pulse bassline as original Razormind starting from 6:31. If you still don't hear the resemblance, listen to Razormind again, in particular the last part of it (3:39 in the official soundtrack version).
gustavo must be really damn stressed, having to be the successor to viklund, but not only is he killing it, i actually think some of gustavs tracks are better than vikulds, but thats like comparing gold to gold
yeah you're right about the anticipation end and the ending is a little abrupt, but apart from that, this is legendary and you are doing gods work here

In most cases, I think Simon's takes were better, but I have to give this one to Gustavo. I don't know what happened with Dead Man's Hand, but that didn't fit Golden Grin at all.
This feels like Dead Man's Hand and Deadeye. I'm digging it. What a banger plus a pretty fun heist to play with friends. Not too hard on Mayhem even (yeah just mayhem I'm not that good)

This is literally the cooler Dead Man's Hand, and I fucken loved that track. It was my go-to for loud jobs before one of my friends invited me to a Black Cat lobby.
this song played for the first time whilst i was playing hell's island for the first time and all i was thinking during the mission is how sick the song for breaking bain out of prison is, and then later got a little disappointed when i heard the actual level's song, still a banger
if there's one thing that never fails with new DLC, it's the new tracks. Already loving this track. Props to Gustavo.

That moment in 06:17 gives me Razormind flashbacks and I love it.

Not gonna lie, Joy looks like she bout to do Kazotsky Kick or smth

Remembers me a lot the soundtrack of Golden Grim Casino combined with Gold Rush (Deadeye's legacy), smooth climax and fresh instruments.
