Russ does not "behave" as though he is conforming to one specific cultural identity The pressure on him to do so is huge, and anyone who does not conform is shunned all over, by players, the media, and everyone. In regards to Russ connecting with his teammates I would say he did make an effort to do that as well. Similar to how Brady was mentioned in this video, Russ would fly out teammates to SoCal and they would work on plays and hang out together. This at least happened when he was in Seattle, I don't know if he did this in Denver but I think he did.

Teams need to be teams. As a leader of the team, you take responsibility for the team’s failures but give the credit to the team for the team’s successes. Once you become bigger than the team it’s a free for all no one does well and everyone starts pointing fingers and then you’re at war with your team while you’re supposed to be at war with your teammates against the other team.
I'm interested in knowing why Russ put a barrier around himself during this era. We don’t do that unless we don’t feel safe be it, physically, mentally, or emotionally. I would love to hear Russ's side

Russell NEVER had the respect of his teammates. The locker room division began in year one, and only got worse after the SB loss. Wilson was never held accountable, and his team was done bleeding out on the field for his constant 3 and Outs. I had to eventually acknowledge his talent despite his knack for pissing off everyone who wears the same team colors.

Geno is 19-18 as the Seahawks starter and 4-0 vs. the 49ers (btw, Russ is 18-4 and took 7 seasons just to lose two games). Enjoy your mediocrity! Finally, the Seahawks didn't get rid of Russ, Russ got rid of the Seahawks. He forced his way out of town, which embarrassed them after they had come out publicly saying they were excited about having Russ back healthy for the 2022 season.
Remember that Russ had a no-trade clause. The Seahawks couldn't have traded him without his permission. In this case, he demanded out by telling them he would not sign another contract to play under Pete Carroll, angry that pete's years of neglecting that O-Line had finally put Russ's career in jeopardy with that hand injury. Get your facts straight!
Btw, Russ also dumped the Broncos, contrary to popular impression. The Broncos asked Russ to defer his injury guarantee for one year so they could keep Russ and have cap flexibility. Wanting out and understanding that it was a way out of Denver, Russ refused their request. Sean Payton clearly didn't like him, but he would've kept him for another season.

Even if he is playing well, the locker room will be divided and players will not play for each other. The fact that he is playing better but not great, is actually a curse for the Broncos because it will make it that much more difficult for Peyton to move off of Wilson's salary given how much ownership has invested. The Broncos are in for a long road ahead because of this move.

The thing about this situation is that from everything you hear and see, those LOB era Seahawks really bonded and still keep in touch. And a bunch of them hang around practices and are involved in some way still to this day and are beloved by the fans. So the contrast with Russ is a weird look. Russ seems basically like a corporate brand. But I wish Russ the best of luck. We all have to do things our own way. And I do think Russ is a good person who works his butt off.

He’s doing better then last season he literally has 1200 yards with 11TD’s and 2INT’s Mahomes has almost 1300 yards with 10TD’s and 4INT’s. It’s the broncos defense this season. Complete opposite from last year
