I love how these companies are realizing the amazing stories that games have, and how they can't help but turn the gold that is delivered to them into coal.
There should be an unwritten rule for every director or producer that prohibits making video games based on films, and making films based on video games. Nothing good ever comes of it.
My hopes are high. If they took a note from the writers of The Last of Us this could be a great addition to the Fallout universe.

That is just sound accounting practise. Making a show with just fanbois and lore-nerds in mind will make a massive loss simply because there are not enough of them compared to the cost of production, companies do not make movies and series to make a loss so they have to cater for a wider audience. Doing it smart will have enough to appeal to fans of the Fallout games such as myself AND people who have never played or even heard of it even if it means messing with the lore such as Mando removing his helmet.

I just hope people give it room to breath, I feel like this could be a really fun show. It is surreal to me that it even exists and I don't wanna see it go away too soon. I think its one of those shows that are incredibly difficult to please everyone with. I hope the fans are most pleased but that people who have no idea what fallout is are entertained as well. Also I am super glad that all episodes will be available right away bc I am impatient and cannot wait a week inbetween each episode.

Games have such a cookie cutter start to each of them (idk about 1%2) that this could be a blank slate. The journey is the destination so as long as they get that relatively right, it should be quite enjoyable.

theyre finally giving power armor the feeling that a walking tank should have in the trailer, as long as they do that in the series count me as a fan happy.
To be fair, it's not supposed to make you a walking tank, it's just meant to protect you and make you able to carry heavy weapons. I don't like how Fallout's made Power Armor look so bulky and clunky, Fallout 1 and 2's designs were big yes, but there was nothing there to suggest they were supposed to be powered like in Fallout 4 or have a frame. I'm not saying you're wrong for liking it but still, I'm just not a big fan of this over complex appearance the PA has made when it was really just a big suit of armor more like a bulky Mjolnir armor from Halo than a walking tank like the power loader from Alien.
@@averagemug_music If I'm not mistaken Power Armor in F1 is powered by a reactor that can last for hundreds of years, I'm currently playing it for the first time and power armor is barely penetrated by a mutant with a Machine Gun, Plasma Rifle or even Laser Machine gun, so it is kinda like a walking tank.
@@Bazylchuk_UA Yes it is technically a walking tank, but more like How Master Chief is a walking tank then what Fallout 4 has. And the armor has always been powered by fusion cores in the games, just not one you have to replace. Fallout 1's Power Armor was big and strong, but it was never tedious to use or clunky looking because it's supposed to just be armor you can throw on. Fallout 4 made it this elaborate frame that armor pieces go on, breaks most PA lore, and then hands you a bunch of cores you need to worry about just so they can justify having power armor at the start of the game instead of endgame like it's always been. Not to mention them getting rid of the Power Armor training requirement despite their PA design being more complex than in Fallout 3 which had the requirement. I get that Nate was in the military and all, but that doesn't mean he'd know how to use it just because he was around other soldiers in it, and how does Nora know how to use it? She wasn't in the military. It's all so stupidly planned. You'll definitely see a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies after playing Fallout 1 and maybe even 2 if you plan to.
@@averagemug_music With you on the lack of training thing, but they screwed that up when they let Tod Howard exchange the lead characters for his halloween costume ideas, so to me it didn't really matter that they changed the lore.
As for tank-like qualities, you could always wait for "Fallout, the Movie: Horizon edition". 2 hours of our hero running away, followed by 8 hours of them trying to make strong adhesives from potatoes and mutfruit.
I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire always reminds me of the good times I had in Fallout 4. Gives me chills.

That would be a cool arc though him working for Vault-Tec for years and years and then basically not getting a spot in the Vault when the bombs drop and becoming a ghoul bounty hunter who has a distaste in anything Vault-Tec related.

The timeline is about fallout new vegas/fallout 4, but the location is fallout 1 and 2.
So who knows, there is so much potential for story telling in the fallout world so tbh I don't really care where they take it as long as they actually try to make it good.
There is clues for new vegas and fallout 4 cut scenes. Either way, it's only a few days away till we find out 😉

One of the cool ways to play the game (especially after a first vanilla play through) is by using Mods. Like Skyrim, you can modify the game almost endlessly. Add custom weapons and armor. Add custom companions. Add ENB shaders and alter the weather, or seasons. Even ignore the main quest, and go on to modded quests, or just explore the open world map. Play as s Terminator, or fight Terminators. Choose to fight with guns or with melee weapons. Play first person, or 3rd person style. But yea its not everyone's cup of tea. Some would rather play Fortnite, or CoD, or The Last of Us. Personally I'm not a fan of Fallout 1 & 2. And never finished FONV. But this new TV series is worth checking out, though I don't expect it to be as good as TLOU.
