Man, it's great you guys have over 100k subs now.. the only downside is I've noticed EVERYBODY likes to tell you guys what to do now or how you should "actually" do something.. I've seen it on your plywood tank videos and some on a few others as well including this one. I've been watching since you had about 13k subs and actually realized during one of those old videos that I went to high school with Troy and Quinn. I played on the same sports team as Quinn with someone you guys probably know as my coach lol! Small world. Anyways I wanted to give you credit for not letting this new influx of the know-it-all crowd get under your skin too much lol. Great video as always guys!
"you may see the plywood tank" I also see that smile too! Im glad it seems to have worked out, can't wait for the update. Im still debating on if im going to build one. Im sure I will it's just a matter of when.
Thanks! The scraper he has is the Flipper Float Max, since his glass is thick. I use the regular Flipper Float for most of mine. Links to both below: - Flipper Max: amzn.to/3xR7QFL - Flipper Float: amzn.to/3Jz9luU
This was an amazing video, pls keep sharing such maintain videos. Also can u share how u treat ur discus. Sorry but the discus tank looks a notch leas than your other tanks..
Fx4 with that big tank not too good especially with discus fish, also its best to use 10 gal for medical tank it saves money also when medicating and easy to do daily water change and discus need hma filters or rdo with then add some minerals in water
@7:37... QT him right away. he's gonna be an issue. Rest are fine. I'd give him a low chance at survival, but swimming upright makes me feel like treating this soon might save him. best of luck
Yep for sure. Only took him in since my existing tank needed a round of meds for something similar and it seemed like the best option. He’s doing a bit better but isn’t eating much yet. Hoping for the best 🤞🏼
I know this sounds dumb but bear with me, when I was working at different pet stores around my areas what we did to get rid of pest snails is add cheap goldfish to the tanks, it was temporary and we removed them after but they’re very good snails eaters surprisingly and make a huge dent in the snail populations and are a great option because they take no interest in any other fish and are not aggressive
@@CichlidBros i also had a same problem full of pest snail in my dicsus planted tank I introduced 10 clown loaches after two weeks only shell were there and shiponed it out now tank is sooper
@CichlidBros I had an invasion of small pest snails .they kept multiplying like crazy I was loosing it. Bought 3 golden zebra loaches never seen any on glass after that.👍 .I've never had clowns tho

I did suggest what I would do with the tanks before, but everyone is different

Great video. Valiant effort on that discus . Have never seen a "thin discus" as that make a turnaround ... so hopeful for your efforts . 👍
Thank you, fingers crossed! 🤞🏼
Awesome video! Thanks for all that you do!
An ornamental discus fish beautiful, vibrant, expensive, similar to severum cichlid, nice video.

Wow the season finale of Shogun and possibly the season finale of the Plywood Aquarium build?!? We are so lucky! 😜
Discus! Yay! Love the discus tank! What internal parasite treatment did you go with?
Started with Paracleanse, but also have Expel P if that doesn't work
Great vid!!
Thanks man!
Hope the little guy pulls through along with your fish. I spy that installed glass window. Hell ya! Peace.
Awesome. Thanks for the video.
@@dirtyoldfarmhand3 thanks for watching!
Try assassin snails to deal with your pest snails. They'll create a nice balance
Another great video bro just wandering what that reversible scraper is i wouldnt mind getting one myself

Can’t wait to see what’s going in the plywood tank. How did the snails get in the tank?
This was an amazing video, pls keep sharing such maintain videos. Also can u share how u treat ur discus. Sorry but the discus tank looks a notch leas than your other tanks..
I love some good discus now im thinking should i keep heckelii or discus in 215gal tank what do ya recon if i may ask
Would be a great setup!
What is that red discus with the black bars on the sides?
What kind of Discus is the red one?
What medication are you using to treat for internal parasites?
What you think about planted aquarium for discus?
Great idea. Mine is planted
Discus size.?
I have 2 Fx6 on my 180 of discus. I feel the aquarist would benefit upping the filteration
He also has a large UV sterilizer and a big wavemaker. He’s fine
Nice

A FX4 is a little small for that 180 especially with Discus i would upgrade to at least a FX6
It works fine for this tank. He also has a UV sterilizer and large wavemaker
We’re is the plywood tank
Update is coming soon
Pea puffers solved my snail problem.
Nice. Can't do that in this tank
I don’t think goldfish would last in 84 F degrees very long …
@@CichlidBros haha that’s very true I forgot about that
what happened to all the other discus ?😅
I've given updates on this tank many times
What med did you use?
Paracleanse to start
Wasting disease.It's incurable
Where do you run your PH at?
It’s around 8.0 in the Chicago land area
only 1 FX4 ???? not enough in my opinion
Plus a big UV sterilizer and wavemaker. Did you see a ton of debris or lack of water clarity? Or did ya just say that without thinking
yup
The standard of discus here in Australia are a lot higher quality than you guys in the US but yes they are still nice fish
I’d disagree 🤷🏻♂️
Setup a tank for Datnoid fish
I would add uv sterilizer
He has one
Zebra loaches would have saved you a ton of time. Try it one day, you'll never use another method for snails again
That tank is asking for anubias and java fern!!!!
Haha yep!
And a background to hide all the cords!
Get a loach for the snails
He has some clown loaches. Haven’t been able to keep up
Add clown loach of 5 pair they will finish it after that remove they
He has clown loaches
@@CichlidBros i also had a same problem full of pest snail in my dicsus planted tank I introduced 10 clown loaches after two weeks only shell were there and shiponed it out now tank is sooper
Beware big discus eat tetra fish
Not when kept correctly
Less feeding
These discus need some care. They don't look to healthy
lol, you’re kidding right? Besides the small one, these were the healthiest discus can be
Golden zebra loaches does that job brilliantly
Think they’d do better than clowns? Just curious for my own tank
