Fun fact: That brachiosaurus at the dock was confirmed to be the same one that Ellie and Dr. Grant saw in Jurassic Park. You were crying before, but now you can cry even harder.
It was also just one day off retirement.
I never really found it sad tbh.
The only thing that made me cry about that scene was how the Hollywood spin completely ignored how the pyroclastic flow doesn't stop at water and would have destroyed the boat before they could even see that Brachiosaurus burn..
How was this confirmed?
@@toofastnobrakes I think that by the directors and even Honest Trailers tell that.
Lion and Rexie become best friends you can all fight me. The lion didn't shy away from her roar, and even roared back. Mad respect.
Why does respect have to be earned from impressing people?
Fun fact: In a sequel comic called "The Roar Above All", Rexy scares off all the lions, however when the police comes in to get Rexy, she escapes into the woods of California.

honestly i felt depressed watching the brachiosaurus die on the dock even hours after i saw the movie.
It was a deep cut.
Everytime I see the original Jurassic Park I cry at the Brachiosaurus scene. I cried when I saw this movie in theatres too.
It was the first dinosaur they saw on the island and the last one they saw on the island

I feel like Rexxie doesn't 'get along' with humans. She's just learned that sometimes they're more trouble than they're worth. If she can sneak up and grab a guy, sure, she'll take the snack. But overall, she'll prefer something larger to make it worth her while.
Humans are very bony when compared to other animals, so we aren't worth much energy to hunt.
Godzilla: I am now going to consume you
Human: Actually, humans are very bony and not worth the energy to hunt down
Godzilla: Well, can't argue with that logic-GODZILLA-ATTACK!

You guys missed a big win with the painting of Mary Shelley when Maisy runs up the stairs to escape the indoraptor.
It's a perfect metaphor, considering the indoraptor is also made up of various parts of "dead" things stitched together.
It also works with the overarching themes of the series. Scientific responsibility, and arrogance in the face of nature are both big themes in Frankenstein. Crichton even played with those themes in his original book.

You actually missed a very important bit regarding symbology. As the Indoraptor falls to its death, for a moment it perfectly resembles the image of God casting Lucifer down from Paradise Lost, the poem by John Milton.
The creator, casting down its creation for doing exactly what it was created to do.
Not sure if that was intentional or not, but one could read an even deeper level of symbolism into it, given the painting of Mary Shelley on the wall when Maisy runs up the stairs. Frankenstein also plays heavily on themes borrowed from Paradise Lost, the monster even reading the book himself at one point.
I may have got this wrong, and I hope this isn't splitting hairs but are you saying God created Lucifer to be evil? I want to understand where you're coming from.
According to my understanding, Lucifer was created a perfect angel, the leader of worship, and he chose to do something outside his bounds to try to exalt himself above God, so it was his rebellion that had him cast down not what he was created for.
I haven't read all of Paradise Lost, so maybe it's an idea in there I haven't seen. Although, I do see how that description fits the Indo-raptor. Is it just me or was that one if the scariest looking dinosaurs we've seen?!
@@ForgivenForever2012 What else is the perfect angel, the leader of all worship, but God?
Finally someone who understands
bruh thats hella deep and all i care about is that the bad dino said bye-bye
I liked this movie.
Something I found interesting was that the indoraptor looked as if thay wherw interested in the girl, this could be becouse she is a clone so her sent was off from other humans or the indoraptor could somewhat sense something was different. Also the indoraptor all was reaching out to her instead of trying to attack with its mouth. For example the indoraptor looked as if it were reaching to remove the covers of her bed insted of lunging and killing her. But thats just a theory I had. Could be completely wrong.
Wait you might be right, it may recognize her scent or maybe the fact that she came from the same place somehow. Perhaps the clones give off a certain pheromone that the Doctors werent able to recognize but the Indorapter could and it was confused because it was a human
Omg this actually makes so much sense. Great point👍
You might be on to something. Domesticated cats will treat their owners like incapable kittens explaining the spontaneous hitting and biting (how baby mammals learn to defend themselves in the wild) and why cats will bring dead rodents to you because the cat believes that you can't feed yourself. Now the situation may be different in the movie but there may be a parallel there
My theory is when they made the girl they didn’t make her a complete clone. They edited her. If you’ve already lost a daughter and you’re recreating her as a clone and you edit her genes you’d make sure she could be killed as easily this time, you’d make sure she can’t get sick, that she was in general more resilient, stronger, faster reflexes and more clever so that she could adapt to situations that would be fatal otherwise. You can tell from the movie she’s incredibly smart and fit despite being kept inside a mansion all day, she breaks out of a locked room and escapes off a roof. It’s just a theory but I think that’s why it recognizes her, they share some genes to adapt and thrive
That's just main character sparing XD but that's a cool theory
I think this is very underrated. That story is good enough and there are plenty of funny and heartfelt moments. It has its issues but I think it is a nice addition to the franchise!!
Plus, the indoraptor is quite scary. I mean sure, we've seen the other raptors showing intelligent behaviour, but the way in which indoraptor kept stalking the girl was creepy to say the least
A LOT of great jump scares in this movie too.
Finally. I'm not alone!
Ur my kind of fans. It’s nice knowing I’m not the only one who loved this movie
How? The film was awful
Blue's call at the end is generally a broadcasting call, the main function of it is to make their presence known. It being used in the previous movies as a call to draw in the other raptors isnt so far-fetched. It is basically them saying "hey im over here" after all.
Lol you dont know that
I never had a problem with the name Jurassic Park. And I don't understand why so many people do. John Hammond was an entertainer since his younger days with a flea circus. Its what he does. So a man like that, obviously he would go for a catchy name that even children can pronounce. Hence Jurassic Park instead of Mesozoic or Cretaceous, Velociraptor instead of Deinonychus or Utah Raptor. And of course Tyrannosaurus Rex? King of the Tyrant Lizards? He would have to be an idiot to exclude that from his theme park.
And thats what it was a THEME PARK.
Everything else came second to the presentation. John Hammond didn't care about scientific accuracy, he wanted the biggest show the world had ever seen! He wanted people to marvel at his park just like when children stared in awe so many years ago at his flea circus.
Chrono Mitsurugi Utah Raptor is easier to say than Velociraptor though...
@@yeahkeen2905
But Velociraptor sounds cooler.
Chrono Mitsurugi true. True. I respect that.
@JurassicHero 3
Honestly, i hope they don't. The Jurassic Park series has a look now, and i hope they dont change it just to fit current scientific accuracy.
Now if a new series about dinosaurs is made, then yes, i agree that scientific accuracy should be brought in.
Jurassic World would have been perfect for that. 20 year timeskip, new company in charge, new cast. That was the perfect setup to bring in such things as feathered dinosaurs. Not in the middle of a trilogy.

"Well, if there is a queen of dinosaurs, it's probably her."
-Bertie, describing the T. rex Rexy to Claire(src)
The original T. rex from Jurassic Park, dubbed "Rexy," was contained in a paddock near Main Street for Jurassic World. Her paddock was described as being densely packed with jungle growth, with a viewing booth on a transparent wall that overlooked the enclosure. She was normally fed live meat, typically goats as that was her preference, but once a month she was given meat mixed with amino acids and other nutrients in order to keep her healthy and strong; a flare was used for visual aid since she associated it with food. Her behavior was often withdrawn, which would be mistaken as shyness, but it was explained that she "decided [humans] need to earn her respect." She was considered wise, calculating, and curious.
this is probably the best answer to Rexy's behavior in all of her 3 films.
NOT just any T. rex, a QUEEN!
That's the best description of Rexy's psychology
Not just that but also after the events of the first film she realized that humans are the lesser of two evils since some actually care if she and the rest of her genetic species survives

Incredibles 2 is my "UNBRIDLED RAGE" and everyone fucking loved that movie. It's BS.
I didn't like this movie but hate is a strong word I give it 6/10 but that's all
I loved this movie, and after I was done watching it I was sure it would get positive reviews, so I was pretty shocked to see the hate and negativity it recived. I really liked how the producers had the balls to move away from the flashy nostalgia and instead made it a realistic, gritty, sad (but very natural and logical) next step in the saga. I really thought it was mature in its handling of the ethical perspectives - the girl being a clone was a clever touch to flesh these questions out - and don't get me started on how great it was in its honest assessment of Owen and Claire maybe being on the "wrong" side of the morality here. The dinosaurs were all beautifully made, it had some great shots and scenes... granted, there was not too much character development, but then again these movies were never really about the humans involved.
I actually think the story should end after this movie. It is a perfect conclusion in my opinion: the first movie asked the question "What would happen if dinosaurs existed again?" and this movie finally has reached that point: the dinosaurs now exist freely alongside humans.
Wow you are completely wrong on the first part. You say they good thing they got rid of nostalgia but this has loads of it. It doesn't make sense and its not matured nor dark or gritty. And the story was bad overall.

0:31 This is literally the best shot in the entire Jurassic Park/World franchise EVER. It's the suspense and horror of Godzilla 2014, enscapulated into this shot, and it just makes you think, "Oh shit, these people are REALLY fucked". It's mysterious, tense, and is an amazing still in general.
Yep
As a dinosaur science nerd, my favorite interpretation of this movie was how you could theoretically ignore Jurassic World. If you imagine it as solely the original park’s animals, of COURSE they look like 90s reconstructions of dinosaurs, rather than our current understanding!
gosh, you've missed so many GREAT moments!! like:
- Claire riding a T-Rex;
- Maisie's T-shirt with DNA colored stripes that acts as subtle foreshadowing for those who remembers the last movie or watches it again;
- That single raptor shout from The Reaper when he's haunting reminds the viewer that even though it's DNA is part raptor, it hasn't actually saw anyone of her own "kind", in fact she doesn't have genetic relatives and that gives the iconic raptor sound the whole new meaning, which is both melancholic and disconcerting o_O
- The Indoraptor's reflection slowly appearing on top of Maisie's face to underline their similarity in that they are both artificially created, which explains indirectly the "wildness" of her behavior.. (gee, I so hope this would be explored further in the next film!!)
but actually, the last 4 minutes of the video are so cool!! :D when it suddenly turns into an actual discussion/review it's kind of unexpected but is very welcome! i have not seen too many of your videos to know if that is a recurring theme or nit, but i hope you'll do more "analytical" stuff inbetween the countdown..)

Fun fact: this is the first jurassic movie to show alot of dinosaurs it showed 16 dinosaurs in total The director Said himself it was the first to show all of the dinosaurs i think dominion showed 18-20 if im correct because of the new dinosaurs they showed
Not me forgetting Dominion for a short bit after reading this and was, like, "Dominion???"
Even though I already watched it.
One scene I loved in particular during the film, was the lift scene between the Indoraptor and Mr. Eversoll [Toby Jones] The music building up as he runs towards the lift; tries to close the door as the Indoraptor hears the woman scream. The camera shots, the lighting, was just visually stunning; and as soon as the Indoraptor breaks the door/button and the doors open was genuinely terrifying
I know I may have an unpopular opinion, but I love JW:FK.
For one, it pulls a lot of it's darker theming and a few references from the original novels, like the beginning scene with the t-rex, or the carno in front of the Floodlights. Secondly, i know people will call alot of the scenes and ideas dumb, but I think they work well, Fallen Kingdom in a way, has a double meaning, one, Isla Nublar falling, and two the Fall of Lockwood (and if anyone thinks that sounds familiar, I love Klayton Fioriti's videos, and I share his opinion on the movie for the most part).
It had really effective scenes that work to make you think, and feel, the Brachio scene in the lava didn't make me sob or anything, but It did really hurt to watch, the first dinosaur we ever saw, falls with the island, almost appearing to be encased in amber with the orange glow. Which brings me to the beautiful cinematogpraphy. That and the practical effects, and the connections and roots to the past movies, and lore of this universe, coupled with in my opinion good character moments, and ideas that make you think, from would Dinosaurs have rights, to the ethics of it, AND cloning, etc. As a Major Jurassic Fan, I love this movie, call me biased, or a blind fanboy, but I feel it's pros far outweigh it's problems, and make it a good Jurassic movie
I loved Fallen Kingdom as well.

Yeeeees
This is the most misunderstood and underrated film of 2018. This movie didn't just take the franchise to a whole new direction, it took almost every concept created by Michael Crichton that wasn't used in previous films and adapted them. My only real issue with the film is just the pacing... But the rest... I could make a whole new text explaining my point, but I have a video on my channel where I explain it better, it's not an excellent video buuuut I try my best to explain.
Edit: the video no longer exists :v

I agree, the critics only picked on the few faults of the movie and ignored anything that was great about it. I loved it.
Yes! I'm with you on this. This film breaks out of the usual arguments that were repeated in recent films in this franchise. It poses way more interesting questions and moves the discussion to the whole new level. All this while still stay true to the heart of the original concept: how technological advancement can complicate politics, social management, and ethics.
As a diehard JW fan, I thought the movie was good. but I respect everyones opinion.

You're not alone!! I love the film. I loved Jurassic World, though I think Pratt and Howard really helped carry a film that was more a proof of concept that a new JP movie could be good after JP3. But I thought FK took the series into a really interesting place. Of course the set pieces of the volcano and the indoraptor tearing through the mansion were great fun, but I think the questions it brings up about what to do with the dinos now that they're here? Can we put the genie of gene-splicing back in the bottle? What about human clones? Can humans and dinos co-exist? etc. And I liked that there were no easy answers. This issues in real life aren't easy, either, such as what to do with invasive species such as burmese pythons in the everglades. And as soon as I realized the little girl was a clone, I thought, "Of course! This is an obvious next step after bringing back dinos! I'm surprised this wasn't covered earlier in the franchise!" Overall, very enjoyable film!
Same here. I got told that I'm wrong for loving the film, too. Which is silly.

How about somebody who doesn't care for it much, but will respect your opinion that it's all right.

You've got to to give credit where it's due. The indoraptor had a lot of care put into the design. It's a sleeker version of the indominus but is still kindof a genetic mess. He twitches, fumbles and has messed up teeth. Speaking of, those are sleeker too, but are still pointing in random directions and being uneven in size. Just look at his mouth from the front!
I love this movie. Like really. My favorite Jurassic sequel. The most fun, and yet the most scary and thematically interesting. JA Bayona is rad.
@Sean Waple Would you get off your vintage high horse already? Just because you think JW and JW:FK are just shitty cash grabs doesn't mean other people have to. You can have your opinion, just let others have theirs.
Sean Waple say what you want about the movie itself, but I enthusiastically refute your statement that JA Bayona has no talent as a filmmaker. “A Monster Calls” and “The Impossible” have already proven you wrong there. Not liking a movie and using that as an excuse for saying the director is talentless and a hack, when he has clearly proven otherwise, is surface level trolling and has no place on a channel that is devoted to appreciating all film.
Sean Waple. Nobody asked your opinion arsehole! NOW FUCK OFF!
9:11. And now a lot of us love the Indoraptor, personally I love how it looks and it’s grumbly terrifying calls and growls.
I LOVED Fallen Kingdom. I loved the questions regarding the morality of what to do with the animals now that they're here, especially with the addition of a cloned human. And these questions aren't foreign to the real world, either. It's very similar to the conundrum of what to do with an invasive species, such as the Burmese pythons or chameleons in the everglades. Do we kill them and try to eliminate them that way, since they pose a threat to the ecosystem? Or do we try to preserve them for study in sanctuaries, or try to relocate them? I don't think there's necessarily a right or wrong answer, so I'm glad the movie has the characters vacillate in their opinions on what the best solution is to handle the dinos.
Ultimately, Owen and Claire's decision was probably correct for that instance, as releasing the dinos will probably lead to human death. So then having this little girl there to release them who is wrestling with her identity is the perfect way to have Claire and Owen stay true to their characters (saving the animals on the island where they can be safely relocated is completely different to saving them by releasing them into an urban environment), but still keeping it open for a thrilling sequel. And I really want to see that sequel! I feel like Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom have both been leading up to more dino-human interaction away from the relative safety of the islands. And I'm looking forward to what they do next. Plus, I'll take any excuse to see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in more movies.
JW:FK was fine, and I'm honestly excited for whatever they do next. It was inevitable from the very beginning that the dinosaurs were going to get off the island, and I feel like each of the movies since Jurassic Park have been teasing that event but never fully committing to it (including The Lost World).
Honestly, I'll be kinda disappointed if the next film is not called Jurassic World: Extinction, because that's kinda where it's going.
I want one more Jurassic film with Owen and Claire having raised the clone daughter and being on a response team for the dinosaurs.
EDIT: # years since I commented this and I feel like I predicted something just once in my life.
I absolutely LOVED this movie!! The soundtrack, the action, the CGI, the twists and turns, the dialogues!!
J. A. Bayona def did a great job of doing call backs to all the things the older generations loved about the Original Trilogy... (first one mainly)
while also adding a sense of horror to the movie which previous movies haven't done so i applaud him for doing something new!!
Sure the movie had some flaws here and there, but no movie doesn't... overall this movie is amazing!!
With amazing cinematography, epic badass moments from humans (Owen mainly) and horrifying moments from the dinosaurs!!
Hunter
Easy to please, huh
*HellRay* you go to the movies to enjoy right!? Plus why pick out and ruin the experience by only thinking about the bad!? Who does that help?? No one!! So honestly imo it’s better if ppl just ignore the flaws and enjoy the movie for its strengths
*HellRay* Yes. It’s a dinosaur movie. Dinosaurs are cool.
@Zulhazreen Hazreen exactly!!
9:52 Originally Mills would've explained to EverSol that it takes 3 tranq darts to take down the IndoRaptor. It was a cut scene, but still kept in the Junior Novelization
Still pissed we got no deleted content. That's kind of important
@@SuperMattman21 yeah, the scenes that were cut really had explanations to some scenes that didn't answer anything or led nowhere
The Ghost I’m happy we got it removed because with it we would have gotten something with skin that bullets can’t penetrate but darts can go deep enough to take effect...
Dodoraptor and other animals That's a good point.
Dont tell me I'm the only person who cried when I say 6:14
Nevertheless, it’s just a fictional movie.

Again, do you not know that people like movies and that people are allowed to feel things about movies. I don’t believe that you have never felt anything about a fictional character/animal/thing.
@@dammitjayden Oh, I’ve felt things in a movie. But I don’t take it far to a point where I backlash against a character or director for how he made the movie. People have taken their feelings about a movie that far before. But at the end of the day, it is also a fictional movie after all.
@@arcticangel1628
Correct me if I understood you wrong, but did you just say that when you feel something in a movie you complain to the director?
@@dammitjayden Yes, Typo error. I forgot to add the word “don’t”. I don’t take it that far.
I know that this movie is... pretty messy, it really doesn't have the best story line, but to be honest, I went to see this movie for an action movie about dinosaurs, and that's what I got. A good story line would just be a bonus. I can definitely see why many people don't like this movie, but I absolutely loved it. I'm glad to see a video praising it!
i freaking love this channel man. you make me appreciate all these movies.

It was a horror alright.
Killing all hype set up by Jurassic World
It’s great but that ending is garbage, you have to admit that, a dumb reason to let the Dinos live
Dallas Nanes But you also have to admit the reason she let them go is plausible. Overall i don’t think this is the worst film in the series and really the introduction to an apocalyptic world of dinosaurs sounds like a great movie.
@@soberscrim299 No. i say Lets make more dinos and fewer humans
I cried ugly tears when the brachiosaurus was left at the docks, the longing and realisation that she was left behind to die and that she wouldnt survive in her voice/call was just...too much, I had to stop the movie and calm down for a solid 10 minutes

Amen. I've gone through every single movie she is in and noted the amount of time in each one. JP1, JW, and JWFK all average 5 minutes of screen time each. The only part where I was upset with this movie was when the T Rex attacked the Carnotarus because it happens to be my favorite dinosaur
The pyroclastic flow thing bothered me so much when I saw this movie.
Enough Volcano movies have taught me that pyroclastic flow is the deadliest shit
Anaverageguy41 Someone else pointed out that might of actually been volcanic ash not pyroclast.
SolidViperSnake just did a quick google search. Volcanic ash IS a pyroclastic flow. And even if there’s somehow a difference, inhaling it is deadly and Chris Pra- uh, I mean Owen, was engulfed in it. Then let’s not forget that he fell into the water which should be boiling.
Oh wait I forgot he used to be in the navy. Ignore everything I said none of that applies to him anymore.

And baby Blue, I just love baby Blue... or Blue in general, I love her. I also love the almost cartoony Indoraptor scene.
And also I really liked those two side characters (the boy and the girl that went to the island with Owen and Claire to save the dinos), I don't remember their names but I really liked them, I would actually quiet enjoy a movie about two absolute dorks like them.

Probably one of my all time favorite movies simply because it doesn't water down the moral dilemmas. should they have cloned the dino's? no, but they did it anyway. should they have spliced together a super predator? probably not an awesome idea. should they have used the bases of that hybrid to make a smaller, meaner hybrid? no, but they did. should you clone a human being? no, you shouldn't, there are any number of reasons why cloning a person is a bad idea. but, what i appreciate is the fact that the cloned child could rationalize and say 'hey, if you're going to kill them then you should probably kill me too, because i didn't asked to be cloned, they didn't ask to be cloned, what right do i have to exist when they don't.' it just gets to me how science has come so far, only for people to screw around with nature to get to a bottom line. sure, we're not making dinosaurs, but at what point do we draw the line? when is something going too far? when is life taken for granted and money and power so all encompassing that it has the potential to destroy everything. and that's what the this movie's title is. it's a fallen kingdom, not just the destruction of the island, but life as they know it is fundamentally different now.
so yes, i like this movie.
I’m so excited to see you reviewing this movie! I was muttering in the theater about how incredibly beautiful the dinosaur’s models and movements were, as well as the incredible audio blends to make the dinosaurs really come to life with logical chirps, whistles, and clicks that fit each dinosaur well.
I have VERY sensitive ears and generally have to cover my ears during movies because it bothers me, but those dinosaurs roaring was just too incredible of a sound for me to miss 😋
{Also seeing my favorite dino, Baryonyx, make a cameo made my day lol}
"I'll give a reluctant win back..."
*gives two wins*
I laughed hysterically in the theater when the Indoraptor killed that general. So much so the people next to me where looking at me and my friend telling me to calm down. I love that scene best part of the movie in my opinion.
You know one (of many) small things that really bugged me in this movie? Claire becomes sober after five seconds of hysterical laughter. It would’ve been funnier if they had the serious talk first, THEN she got drunk, and probably became more open about missing Owen and asking for his help. THAT would’ve been cool.
i dont think she was actually drunk though. i think she was just hysterically laughing because owen said (off screen and camera) that he had broken up with her
I don't think she was drunk, I believe the opening shot of them in the bar made you want to think that. But really she was laughing because Owen told her that he broke up with her. When really, she dumped him.
I’m pretty sure she was never drunk.
I felt the brachiosaurus death scene was one of the most impact and best scenes of the movie, give the win back damit.
Oh I love this movie
Well, it's bad.
Mangalex28 lol never said it was good, let me have my opinion
Cool video with my childhood Jurassic Park movie Fallen Kingdom.
I love the way that you made Ian Malcolm believe that Rexy was a hero and she’s really is.
I love this movie so much and I love the score the you’ve gave like 116, that’s awesome.
This movie is amazing. I might be alone in this mindset, but I love the more horror elements in this franchise, which is one reason why I love this movie so much. I've seen many rank this as a middle of the pack (see what I did there?) entry in the franchise, and i honestly disagree. This film rivals the original Jurassic Park. Sure a majority of the wonder is gone, but I didn't wanna see a clone of Lost World. Fallen Kingdom is (in my opinion) the only film that truly rivals Jurassic Park. Lost World is good, but Fallen Kingdom is amazing. Of course this is my opinion and I'm probably gonna be yelled at by people who claim you can't do better than the first two (except you can, especially in this franchise).
I also really enjoy this movie and have watched it several times. A lot of others must agree with us, because it certainly made a mint at the box office!
Don't get me wrong I like some bits but rivaling the original? The original changed filmmaking forever which is something this film will never accomplish considering the fact it's hardly it's own original movie. Its basically the lost world just scarier, a little dumber, and better cinematography. But if you like it THAT much than whatever, but it's not a very good movie if the majority hate it.
Wow I loved Fallen Kingdom
I was equally awestruck the way I was when watching Jurassic Park 1 the first time...!!!!!

I love this movie, and I'm not afraid to admit that and I will defend the film.
I am not afraid to admit that Rexy is still just an animal, not a god, despite people loving the dinosaur as an iconic character of the Jurassic franchise and movie history.
