You can really see how much effort and thought is put into this video! I loved it so much and once I am visiting America/ Seattle I am for sure going to check out every single store ❤😍
thank you for helping make Seattle shine!! I've seen so much negativity about Seattle on social media lately (people saying it's a shithole, despite them not even living there, lol) but those of us who live there and are used to living in cities in general know it's an amazing city.
Moved to Seattle in 2016 after almost a decade of obsessing over getting there, sadly moved back to Georgia where I'm from after my mom passed in 2021, I'm so homesick for Seattle, haven't gotten to go back yet since I had to leave. Though I plan to go back someday. Watching these videos help motivate me and also make me more homesick. I never got to really explore many options of the foodie side and such while living there, technically starting in kent, then Burien before leaving. Food looks so good and I can't wait to get back and try them all out!
Thank you so much for putting this together for us Washingtonians! I subscribed for the Seattle vlogs but am happy to stick around because YOU are amazing. Looking forward to following along and in your NYC chapter. All the best xx
@@MarshalHartTheBestDad Disagree. I was stationed at Bangor Naval Submarine Base on the crew of the USS Florida SSBN-728, and later at PSNS with the crew of USS Asheville SSN-758, from 1999 to 2003....went to Seattle every weekend when the submarine was in port and I was off duty.... loved it! People like you say the same about where I'm from, the San Francisco Bay Area, and it's not true for us, either.
@@neutrino78x I’m not saying all of Seattle is horrible. Just like every other city there’s issues. Places in Seattle like lake City have been absolutely overrun with drug users, prostitution, and more. While other places like Pike Place Parket are great. Sorry for the misunderstanding lol
Also, the bagels (& pizza) at Oxbow Bakery in Montlake go hard. Best bagels I’ve ever had. And for dessert Franki & Jo’s legendary plant based ice cream! Unique flavors with natural ingredients. Ballard and Cap Hill locations. And VEGAN sushi in Queen Anne. Sushi Samurai. Its next level. Fake seafood but you would never know.
I’m a huge fan of the movie Singles and I went to the apartment building where the movie was filmed. Seattle is so nostalgic for me as an alternative rock fan!
My boyfriend and I love watching ur videos! Its a huge goal of ours to move to seattle once were done with school in CA! We try to visit once a year and def taking notes from this list!
Some extra spots: Fuji bakery in the international district has amazing ube malasadas. Cafe con leche in Sodo makes the best Cuban food I've had since I left Florida. Zagol Ethiopian in the central district is also pretty fire. Unfortunately, the best pizza place in the city (Blotto) closed down a couple months ago :(
One of my favorites spots to eat is Rupee Bar in Ballard. As someone who feels like Indian food is their least favorite cuisine, this place is amazing. It’s Sri Lankan/Indian inspired and it’s dance worthy tasty. Their menu changes every few months, but they keep staple items and their drinks are always so good and unique.
Born and raised in Seattle.Southend.Rainier Beach to be exact. Been living in this city for over 30+ years and I haven't been to any of the establishments in this video...
Salt and straw is good and has fun flavors, but given how long the line can be not worth the wait. Lots of other great ice cream places in Seattle with no lines.
Easy Street Records in West Seattle. Its a record/music shop. Also a restaurant. They have really good food. Oh and also when Taylor Swift was in Seattle Easy Street had an event for TS.
Really enjoy Alia's Seattle diaries, already marked every single place u mentioned on Google Map!! And I just moved to Seattle, this will be my guide. Me and Seattle Gonna miss u 😢
Great list, I have been to a couple places but not nearly all of those. The ginger beer is fire, if you want to make an amazing Moscow mule, grab some Tito's and some of that ginger beer. Should also mention, Seattle craft beer is some of the best in the world imo and there's breweries everywhere. Also, hard cider is popular as well. Locust Cider is probably my fave, they have amazing flavors, and free videogames!
PLS PLS PLS DO MORE OF THESE. I don’t know why but these are so interesting and curious to watch. Especially (food) because you film, talk and show everything from their best views!! 🤤🫶🏻
i’ve never been to USA but it was sooo interesting to watch! love the new mic, sound and picture are awesome 🤩 hope that someday i can make to go to Seattle and try these recommendations 🥹🙌🏻 (crying in russian)
Planning to go on a cruise to Alaska via Seattle but no date isn't even set yet 😂. I heard so of the places mentioned but i love this video the best so far. Definitely saved!! ❤
What an unexpected surprise to learn there is a Korean restaurant named Paju in Seattle. It's a city name in northern part of South Korea. Probably the chef came from it.😀
First 2 weeks usually no. Last 2 weeks its almost a guarantee. But it never it an actual downpour, just drizzle and mist constantly. If you dress well you’ll be fine
Thank you beautiful lady and husband for this beautiful video. I have been Blessed to visit beautiful Seattle and it was Awesome. Blessings to you and your families!!!
PS: Ally, one little thing : Please don´t run in the Central Park, when it´s getting dark. It´s dangerous. NYC isn´t Seattle . AND: One tip for you: When you look for great pastry, then take the path train to hoboken at west 33rd Street ( it takes 15 minutes ) and go ot Washington Street. From the station you have to go straight ahiead and then the 2nd or 3rd street on the left side ( i actually can´t remember-it has been too long that I´ve been there ) is the Washington Street. There is the famous Carlo´s Bakery-Ally, it´s the best you ever had, I tell you... And drrectly in Manhattan is Magnolia bakery ( theat´s for sure not a secret and maybe you were there yet
I live south of Seattle (30ish minute drive) and there were some staple places my wife and I would go to, but I'm interested in trying these places out for a day off trip for us. I haven't visited Seattle in a LONG time, like years, despite being close to it (I'm a gamer nerd, so we'd go to PAX West at the beginning September as an excuse to be in Seattle but haven't gone in a few years). So we go to Tacoma for certain places for a night out.
I went to hs there 35 years ago, and I don’t recognize any of these streets and places you showed. Is the fish ladder still open to the public? That was my fav spot back then.
Thanks for this video! Makes me want to visit Seattle! You got me to love matcha now! Is it impossible for you to share your favorite matcha to buy to make at home?
Best coffee, Analog, Vivace and Victrola. Pastries R&M and Bakery Nouveau. Tacos Chukis, Via Tribunali, 8 Oz. Burger, Lil Woodies, Kedai Makan, Cascina Spinasse, Il Terazzo Carmine, Stateside, theres a few to get you started.
I was prepared to hate this video because I'm a hater; but, I'm also a Seattle dining enthusiast, and your recommendations are too good to hate on. It's not just the quality that makes them worthy of the shout out; it's also the uniqueness of the picks. You don't see these restos and cafes on most lists and travel guides-but you should. They are excellent, well worthy the hype. Thanks, Alia, for giving everyone a more well-rounded picture of what Seattle a great city.
Hello there, will be going to Seattle for the first time this week! Not sure what area to stay in, where do you recommend? Also where are the Asian food spot areas? I heard Seattle have a lot of good Asian food. Thank you
Great video! I visited Seattle for the first time last week, it was really fun. After watching all your videos, i got curious about matcha so I had to try Nana’s Green Tea and now I’m addicted. 😅 Also, I was planning to go to a bagel place you mentioned in one of your videos but I forgot the name 😅 I even tried to message you on Instagram! :) I loved my experience in Seattle, and am more exicited that my partner and I decided to move there soon. I wish you and Yoni the best in New York. ❤

what?? It’s one the most thriving cities in the US what are they on 😂
Seattle, it's shit hole. I live here, trust me 🕳 💩😒 😕
i wouldn't say seattle is amazing but it has a few nice places. The food is generally horrible
It's curated past clips. It really is turning into a really run down and bad city, fast.
I live here and can indeed confirm it is a sht hole.
I’ve lived in Seattle for 42 years and these are great recommendations!
wow you are beautiful in your thumbnail augustmoonrae, you need videos 😲

Fuji market for pastries 🍩, Outdoors DISCOVERY PARK #1 !, Magnuson park , kerry park = outstanding views/vibes
Better than R&M or Bakery Nouveau?
Always fun to see what other seattleites are enjoying. Marked down a few of these even though I've lived here for years
Such a perfect guide, you can tell how much thought and effort you out into making it! Definitely saving for future reference😍

you could do a similar video in NYC but when you give your points to new places you go to

It is hit and miss but October, overall a great time to visit. Layer up. The rain is very light, if it rains Enjoy
It’s just mist. Don’t even bother bringing an umbrella lol
