Personally I mix the two in my army and use the sharpshooters shields to defend my champions. But that big 120 hit at close range from the sharpshooters can destroy whole armies of elite cataphracs in seconds.
In my opinion, sharpshooters are a bit of a mixed use unit. The will annihilate units with good positioning, and do very well at holding ground in shield wall. Once they run out of ammo, you can stick them next to your infantry and maintain a good anvil for your cavalrys hammer. This only really is apparent in very large battles when you face wave after wave of reinforcements
Another very good video, Though I thought you were a bit generous with the ranking at the end. They did not seem all that good compared to previous units.
You didn't test them against other archers like aserai, empire, and khuzaits. They have the advantage of rwhen unning out of bolts you can shield wall with them and use them as infantry. They can protect your other archers, but yeah, they're not better than the fians.

Yeah and no. They do a lot of damage but shoot very slow. Personal I think the fian champions are a much better option 👍
