What I was thinking, since they'd be on the smaller side, you could make a matching pair with a different animal head pommel on each. I like to sketch, knives, swords, armor, etc. in particular. Maybe I will try some stock removal knife making myself. I didn't really like how my raven skull knife came out. I've never seen anyone flux the sides that aren't about to the welded and aim usually seems to be to get flux to sink between plates. Do you have reason for this or is it just a bit of a habit? I'd like to see you forge a double edged leg knife. Like a fast stealth mercenary blade, maybe 16cm blade. Strong but extremely light weight, etc.

yes. it is to prevent carbon loss due to oxygen reaction. the flux shields the steel from oxygen..
