- In this first video i try my luck with the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. This ultimate classic fieldwatch screams for different watch bands.

I love the distressed looking leather one around the 4:00 minute mark. Gives it more of a "timeless" / vintage vibe, look, feel. Also, supporting Ukraine in anyway is a nice bonus. Thanks for making this!

Nicely done…and congratulations on your very inclusive and well produced strap video! I will be looking for more of your work soon. Also, I recommend you adding a story about yourself, your interest in watches…and the pieces you have purchased, as well as when and where you wear them. Add a bit of your obviously interesting life experiences so we are not just looking at, well, products or things.

Thnx Bill! People like you make this fun to do! Tell about me... I don't think thats very interesting altough how i got into watches may be funny. Perhaps I'll add such a little clip later. The khaki day-date. Isnt that the khaki king? I must say I think Hamilton has quite the line-up. I went with the mechanical but there are hardly any wrong choices with these guys!

That is so true. In the vid I may have sounded a little harsh but I just try to be keen on making the best combos. Color-wise they match, no question!

I always liked that canvas strap that you bought from aliexpress but Im a little worried about the edges fraying. How is the durability of the strap in your experience. Great video by the way.
Good video. I never noticed that gap with regular straps on watches with long lugs. But now thinking back, it is why some watches looked off to me. My Seiko SNK’s and dressKX have short lugs so I don’t notice the gap.
It's really one of those things, once you know you'll keep that in mind.

I just got my first khaki H7055450 and extremely excited to get more straps and if you can suggest me some stuff, would be nice!
At the moment i have 1 blue rubber with diamond patern lined up for at the middle along the strap and smooth black rubber strap.
Nice vide. Not sure I agree that a "Bond" NATO strap doesn't fit a field watch though.
Even though you didn't like it . I thought the Bond nato looked the best . To each their own .
i liked this video, one thing for future videos id want to see a wrist shot of every strap option, not just a few. I really wanted to see a wrist shot of the desert colored single pass canvas nato :) I would also love links to buy these, but I understand the problem with that since they are bought a while ago, thanks for the show nonetheless

Do people recommend metal straps or leather with field watches or do people usually use rubber or silicone.
Okay, this video is only 16:26 minutes long, but according to your watch, it took 26 minutes to make! Seriously, great video, I liked the black leather strap the best. Bond NATO is a close second.
On Aliexpress Natos: I order all my Nato straps from Aliexpress for about € 3 including shipping. They are the exact same stuff you'd get from any local dealer or watch manufacturer. In fact I ordered a grey spare strap for my Seiko DressKX 61 (which comes on an admirality grey Nato) and I found it indistinguishable from the original Seiko strap - except for the Seiko's beefier, branded buckle.
Of course there's always the Omega version for a mere € 340,00 (not a typo).
I like your musings on watch band aesthetics and also your pleasing photography/lighting. Looking forward to further videos.

Nice video (of leuke video!😉) I have a question that someone here probably can help me with. I've tried a lot of lugs but most of them rust and break very quickly. I've got some fat lugs that are good, but they don't fit in a lot of watches. Does somebody know where you can get good quality lugs, in big quantities?

A suggestion...perhaps try a bigger variety of colors? It seems you have a large bias towards green/black/charcoal/muted colors. You tried a few diff materials and styles, but the colors were all so similar. Even if its not your style, others may get inspiration from it because it works for them (prob the main reason people are viewing strap vids). Nice video though!
