    Encephalopathy, cirrhosis of the liver.
Complicated by dementia, which is written in the DNA, plus his father was bipolar according to Shirley .
So, David (health -wise) was dealt a lousy hand
But that voice. What a gift. I'm a vocalist & for me , David is one of the two top male vocalists of the latter 20 th century.
Truthfully, he was sick for a long time, I can see it beginning, as far back as '92. But the genius -level vocals , charisma, and a heart of gold, covered up the illness.

It's crazy that I askedfor help to Dr. Phil in 2918 with no assistance. Thanks Dr. Phil, had my past been dealt with, I could have been there for him. Then it peaked my curiosity about the role in my past for Jackson Brown. Big mistake but truth still the same.💫 THANKS AGAIN DR PHIL. Yes he was gone already but I could have learned that which was hidden. We thought alike if both contacted your show online. Brilliant psychology, I'd say. My situation wasn't important to your show. I met David and his then wife "Sue" when I was working in Vegas on several occasions. His wife seemed like a great person and down to earth, hated to hear it did not work out, I think due to David's alcoholism. It seemed there was a curse almost from Jack Cassidy's side of the family, they were good people, just had some demons.

Id' say your're right. Jack Cassidy had also been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder years before He passed away. His wife Shirley Jones had come to the point She could no longer deal with the bi-polar disorder syptoms, hence they divorced in 1974-75 I think. It was also noted that schizophrenia might well be part of Jack's diagnosis's too. One thing i'm sure about is i'm very sadden that, Jack and David have passed away too, soon. Rest peacefully Father & Son.

@@kimberlyhalloran5724 Dr Phil wasn’t buying any of it….you can tell, and also I’ve seen the entire show. His mother did die from complications of Alzheimer’s so he was lying about that and Dr Phil knew that as well.
