    what I like most is the attitude you have: "that was not supposed to work.." :) ... "it's time to update the information I have" ... and instead of cutting the video after those "wrong" examples, or simply not uploading to YT, you share your "mistakes" with us!
    That's what I like in you! I appreciate your technical skill as much as your freedom.
    Thanks man, keep on!

    In this video you teached us way more than diagnosting phones, you teached us integrity in action. I have no words to describe the respect I have for you. I will do my best to follow your example.

    Very good and very enlightening, do not let us be without your videos. When I get home from work and after taking a shower is the first thing I do and see if I have videos of you in my notifications. I have been able to carry out various repairs from power supplies to laptops and televisions. At weekends as a hobby and for friends.

    Best line of the whole video, "If you are precise, then you are looking more professional". How many times have you gone into a electronics shop to be quoted a range of prices because they tell you that they can't diagnose the problem without keeping your phone for a day or so. Not so with Sorin! He taught us that the more precise you can be when talking to the customer, the more professional you and your business appears to be. Great life lesson.

  • @giovs3410
    @giovs3410 5 років тому

    Most have a rather different approach in the cellphone buy and cell arena here in Asia. Irregardless as to whether the unit itself powers-up or not, it is considered first to determine whether is it grounded or not. Most grounded phones (whether caused by water damage or, component or worst, design failure) do not power-up and for those that do power-up will simply destroy the battery in the long run. A simple ground test can be done by treating the unit like a capacitor ; with an ohmmeter in the x10 range, "charge" the phone by putting the + lead to the + battery connector and - lead to the - battery connector which will cause the ohmmeter needle to deflect. If in reverse-bias mode (leads are reversed) that the ohmmeter will indicate a "discharge" state then the unit is not grounded and will most likely power-up and operate normally. If it does not "discharge" (the ohmmeter needle will deflect on both states of bias and reverse-bias) then you would probably a losing investment with a value of being a paper weight. I am very sensitive with these issues since I still buy particularly old Nokia N-series phones. I also used the same ground tests on laptops and other electronic equipment; that is even before deciding to open and repair them up. It also saves time and effort avoiding those pointless arguments with some sellers who will decide to lie about their items to sell.
