I’m 43 years old and I been copping Js before there was a such thing as a retro Jordan, before resale was even a thing and Js was released on Tuesdays not weekends. The problem with today’s market is they just dropping way too often! Back in the day we got a pair every couple of months not every Saturday. Resale is dead just because the market is over saturated.

I respectfully disagree! Resellers have hurt the shoe game. The average person isn’t willing to buy multiple phones, set up 50 accounts and make deals with stores to backdoor all the newest shoes. It makes the average customer just buy other brands.

Nike is a corporation; corporations are about PROFIT. Hypebeasts are about feelings for what they "like". Jordan "mutants" and all the other sneakers hypebeasts don't care about make billions in profit. It costs Nike on average US $50 to bring a sneaker to market, so essentially EVERY shoe that sells (retail or sale) makes money. More hypebeasts and non-hypebeasts are coming of age everyday, so this ish ain't going no where!
I think resellers know it’s over. I just bought a pair of fakes from Flight Club and they were bad. They weren’t even good replicas. They are just trying to sell everything they can no matter if it’s fake what ever they can

My thing is that...I got the majority of those releases Jay mentioned. These releases are great news for people that just started collecting in 2019 or 2020. My flu games are still clean... outside a little aging and character all of my kicks r good. I'm just missing bred 1s and black toe 1s.

The economy plays a big roll on sales of things like shoes. Especially 200+ when most people can’t pay their car payments. Repossessions are at a record high. So people are holding off on buying their kids expensive shoes. They market these sneakers to the kids that are getting hit the worst by the economy. Only way out is to vote

I think the data vary from person to person so far as right or wrong. I can only say what has benefited me. I have never been able to grab sneakers this easy, whether it was a gr, brick, hyped release. I am not complaining. I am for Nike flooding the market/ high stock numbers... I wear my shoes✌🏾

This is My POV: Nike had a good business model by making limited pairs available released at random times per year, That kept the shoe from sitting on the shelves and they sold at retail or above. The resale game created additional hype, and NIKE added to the hype with the lotteries. It multiplied the frenzy to get shoes and made people spend stupid money for shoes that were never worth the asking price. The market is just correcting itself back to how it used to be when a shoe was put out for sale and the public said " hey these are hot!" Instead Nike and the the hypebeasts they collaborated told us these were hot when they were not and reseller bought off all the stock. Part of the fun of sneaker collecting was finding a pair of sneaker on clearance and you rocking an outfit that made the shoes look fire. Alot of wanna be hustlers got into the sneaker game buying up even more making the shoes even harder to get. The resale game was artificially hype for years. Now you are left with the OG and the upcoming sneaker collectors like it used to be.
The original Leather 10's did have the toe caps (I had a pair when they dropped back in the day the smooth toe does look better) I would love if Jordan brand would bring back out the OG version of the 10's with the toe caps but they are probably gonna sit on the shelves if they did that.

I’m happy Jordan brand and Nike are doing this. After being screwed countless times by resellers, I can finally get ALL the sneakers I’ve missed out on! I hope they keep this up. I just want to be able to buy whatever sneakers I want. Hopefully the quality is good as well.
