    35:05 is a golden moment. This is the most substantial comment of this whole podcast. It provides an actual mechanism as to why it occurs in people with SIBO, and thus provides a framework to find solutions and thus hooe to ever get rid of this horrible condition.

    3 years ago I made my own ‘low histamap’ diet after realising I had histamine intolerance x FODMAP sensitivity. Back then I couldn’t find any information on this but my own observations of my symptoms lead me there. I’m also vegan so it was and is very restrictive. I’ve still not recovered from my histamine sensitivities, it’s so insidious. I always go back to my low histamap diet but hope one day I can eat freely

      I am also vegan and with IBS-D symptoms overlapping with histamine intolerances, no gluten dairy etc. will start this long, painful and restricted diet journey too. My question is there any hope at the of all these commitments? Thanks 🙏

    I have a deviated septum, which is in return, has caused sinus disease. I noticed six years ago. Something was wrong with me. Been to many doctors don’t know answers finally now after being extremely ill and a multitude of symptoms I think this is what is causing auto immune responses and histamine intolerance along with stuff I was eating and drinking, now I cannot use any fragrance sense irritate my skin, all kinds of foods I’ve never had allergies up until dealing with this it’s destroyed my life

    What does the labs for IgE show if optimal or high or low? My food reactions take a day or more but am doing much better after trying SCD (heal digestion), then histamine/mast cell ,found Yasmine healing histamine site helpful. Made worse by oxalic acid foods... Allergist last year did labs for food allergies (Zero), and do have IgE. Labs for Igg show low reactivity also. Wonder if SIgA. How to track if waking at night, is neurotransmittor(serotonin or , hormone (epinephrine or)or histamine high. Wake, loud HB, urge to urinate, anxiety (and itchy if had bug bites(blister)). That would be ok at 6am but not 12-4am. Rarely hives, but get red blotchy in hot weather. Grew up w gut stuff. Thanks for info and IgE lab info !

      I, too, was trying to solve my allergies with fermented foods AND we have backyard chickens so guess what I ate for protein. So, the more I ate of those things the worse I got to the point where I was starting to have to choose between eating and BREATHING. On a scale from 1 (runny nose) to 10 (anaphylaxis) my reaction was an 8. I debated a hospital trip on more than one occasion. Now I'm eating low-histamine food but wonder if I'll ever actually be able to eat without tripping my asthma since histamine is released to cause a flow of stomach acid to digest _anything_ you swallow. So frustrated.

    Re. mold exposure causing more histamine intolerance -- what a great insight. first of all it makes me realize that when i'm around mold my horrible symptoms are likely histamine reaction (migraine, body pains, fatigue). in fact -- Could all my migraine triggers be a histamine trigger first?

      I'm thinking an allergist could help you. However, I happened to figure it out when I went to OMAD and discovered my allergy symptoms only occurred after my one meal. I was totally fine until I ate and then BAM I was near anaphylaxis. That was a good give away, but not everyone reacts that way so I don't really know what to tell you other than to see an allergist.

    My gastroenterologist suspects SIBO so I'm doing my research, but I'm confused about the conflicting info I read about Fermented Foods. I seem to find them on both the "Good for You" list and the "Don't Eat" list. Can anyone offer some clarification on this? thanks!

      The golden rule for any food is: if you can tolerate it and it doesn’t cause major symptoms, eat it.

    • @roxyiconoclast
      @roxyiconoclast 3 роки тому +2

      If you have some kind of histamine intolerance, you’d need to avoid fermented foods. SIBO is different from histamine intolerance; SIBO can be treated with an antibiotic or herbal supplements, while histamine intolerance usually is a chronic condition. SIBO does tend to recur, though, so a low carb diet can help to both treat and prevent recurrence. SIBO and histamine intolerance each require different dietary changes, so the diet in this video is designed to address both at once. Hope that helps.

      Fermented foods are exactly what sent me over the absolutely intolerant edge. Yeast and some bacteria produce tons of histamines. However, there ARE probiotics that are "low histamine" that can rebalance your gut. I bought some on Amazon and they don't cause symptoms.
