So nice to see normal ideas for inspiration and that you don’t sacrifice your kids’ preferences just for filming ❤️ I remember my mom packing lunches years ago!
This is an old video but you’re my favorite to watch when I’m unwinding. I love that you show real food that kids will actually eat. Everytime I see bento box videos they’re just so not kid friendly! I’m like let your kids have good they will eat and like! They should be clearing their lunch boxes.
Love the dollar tree frozen meals for easy meals for my kids too. I add regular sprinkle parmasan cheese to the Alfredo when I serve it and it takes it up a notch with no effort. Love it 😊
The frozen dinners is a great idea! My son would love that, and the pizza rolls in his thermos. Leave it to Kristin to show us what real kids lunch boxes look like. Because some of these mom's on TikTok be doing the most!!
Cut the cupcake horizontally in the middle and then fold it so that frosting is in the middle. My Mum always packed cupcakes and frosted cake that way!
I love this video. I’m so sick of people making ridiculous kids lunches. My kids don’t want to eat a sandwich covered in sprinkles or are shaped like a monkey. They want a hot dog they can eat in 15 minutes.
Maybe their kids like that? Who are you to say? Maybe that is how they show their love to their kids? Why can’t people just respect others ways of doing stuff for their kids? Every kid is different!
I absolutely love your channel. I am a busy single mom who works at the hospital on the weekends and I take my lunch everyday. I love watching your stuff for inspo and you are so down to earth and realistic about food!
Oh my gracious you’re a Godsend !! I literally make either a salad or a sandwich everyday because I never know what to pack for my kiddo lmao idk why I never though about getting a thermos for Mac and cheese and such! Between these and the dinners you’re saving my life!!! Haha Thanks, Mama I appreciate you so much 🙌🏽💕
Halfway through the year and my lunch ideas are running low. Thank you! Put a folded paper towel with the cupcakes and they will prop it up. There are also cupcake holders. We love those Bentgo boxes, too! Thank you for your videos… Hope you’re better!
Your an amazing mom ,wife and a wonderful woman. I give u credit for taking time to make these wonderful meals. U do it so lovingly. I hope ur family appreciates u
I would love to see more kids lunch box videos! I know you're super busy with putting together your awesome dinner videos but a few more of these would be great for inspiration! We have been homeschooling, but my children will be attending school 3 days a week in the Fall (a hybrid program) and I'm already looking for ideas on what to try out with them beforehand! Keep up the amazing work with your channel! ♡Amber
Hey! So grateful for you still posting even while sick! Hopefully you're taking some time to care for yourself and recover. 🤍 for cupcakes in a lunchbox, I typically add in 2 or 3 toothpicks to the top so it's snugly fit in the container and there's no room for it to tip upside down (the lid would just hit the toothpicks then and not the icing). You could also add toothpicks to the side so it won't slip back and forth if needed!
I sure wish these videos were around when my kids were young. All my boys refused to eat school lunches so I packed 4 lunches each day. These are such good ideas! Mine are all grown or old enough to make their own now. :)
I also wish the nesquick came in smaller sizes. I put one in my kids lunchbox every day for some extra protein since they are so picky. Loved all these ideas! Def gonna try out that Mac and cheese. Can't beat it for $1!
Hope your feeling well. I use to send the lunchable to school with my Son but almost everything in them had the red #40 food dye which we found out is what was making him bounce off the walls. So I had to pack a homemade lunchable. Basically all I had to do was change the drinks and the candy. All the drinks have the #40 dye in them at least they did back then. I actually called the company and asked why can't they put something else in there for the drink. He didn't usually eat the candy so didn't have to worry about it to much. He liked the Nutri grain bars. We called them candy bars. 🤣 He was so young he didn't know the difference. To this day he don't eat many sweets. Which I don't either.
Kristin, I don’t have a husband or kids, but I watch your video religiously. It gives me great ideas for myself to take to work. lol we need a single girl lunch box ideas 😂
They have small salad dressing tubes at dollar tree. You should get those when you send salad dressing to school with the kids. As for putting your fruit in bags, get the ziplock bags. They sell those at dollar tree too
If you do the cupcake ever again. A great trick is to break it in half and turn the icing side over and then you have less of mess. Then just pick a little bit of extra napkins
I just found this channel yesterday and can't stop watching your videos. I don't have kids, I'm just a broke college student lol but you're so nice and the food looks delicious
I wish my 6 year old would touch even half of those meals. He is very adamant about having a pb&j as his main course every single day. He is also the kid that won’t touch anything meat, so the struggle is real. Definitely don’t be hard on yourself for relying on convenient foods. Like you said, your kids are fed so that’s a great mom in my book! Plus, I feel it’s always a great memory for kids to think back on their school days and how awesome their lunches were! It’s the little things. Feel better soon!
Another fun idea is using mini lunchbox or cookie cutters and you can cut fun shapes into sliced cheese, fruit, lunch meat, sandwiches, etc. 😊 love all your ideas. Can’t wait to start packing my sons lunch for Pre-K especially since he has a lot of food allergies. I try to make things extra fun for him.
My 10 year old is picky so I love these videos to get ideas for him. He also loves the Nutella snacks and we get the big box at sams so they last a long time 😊
Glad I came across this video today, my son went back to school after break today & I struggled to decide what to make him .. this gave me a good ideas of what to try out next thanx for your hard work mama!💗
They were fun ideas for lunch! That was cute, seeing their tiny treats packed carefully with ❤️ from their Mama! I remember my mom putting in spaghetti & clams 😂 in my thermos! Haaa! I was mortified bc even tho I hated pb&j I wanted to “fit in” with the class. She even packed me a tastykake pie that all the kids wanted to trade for but I held onto that pie until my last bite of sandwich 🥪 😂 I had a metal lunchbox with Strawberry shortcake or Charlie’s angels on it 😂
If you take a strip of cardboard and bend it up like an accordion then wrap it around the cupcake (Sized so that it is roughly the space between the cupcake and the walls of the container) it helps keep them from being tossed around a bunch.
You can cut cupcakes in half, put the bottom on top of the icing and make it like a sandwich. It’s not as cute but it tastes the same and packs much better.
Glad you are feeling better. I often keep a couple of those frozen Dollar Tree meals on hand. If I an getting over being sick or just want a nonhomemade meal they fit the bill. Because if you have been sick and are feeling better but do not want the bother of cooking a quick, hotmeal is appreciated.
I'm so happy to have found this video. My kids have been having sandwiches with the same sides for two weeks smh I feel so bad. I'm new to this cold lunch/public school thing and I wanna switch it up for them ❣️
@@kellymelgoza1423 most schools don't have microwaves unless in high school.
