How to dig a watering hole with a tractor

I've learned some hard lessons over the years with digging watering holes for deer and other wildlife so I thought I'd share the basic method that has seemed to work the best for me when digging a watering hole with a tractor. I've now graduated to a mini excavator, but the principles are the same. Here are a few other watering hole videos as well:

Yes, the cuts worked perfect. Just used the bucket to create them.

Good luck! Although now I do try to add a core trench and compact it too, but you can still do that with a tractor.

Great! Thanks a lot. Now that i watched this, i want to put radio on my tractor and i spent way too much putting a loader on my old ford 641

I'm guessing if you don't indicate it's the "211" land it's "Kapper Lakes"?
I'm concerned that you diverted water going into a "natural"(?) stream to a guiding trench?
