I love your sense of humor "I'm not an expert, but this has every indication of being a wet spot". This was fascinating. Thanks for sharing this, Chris.
I’ve watched this guy for a while. I don’t think many viewers really understand the finesse he has developed on working that bucket. Many of us operate but few develop the finesse to smooth a job the way he does. Cudos sir. I’m impressed
Definitely a first for Chris. It's goung to seriously help keep down the mosquito population once it's cleared out if they stock it with fish and it gets a healthy frog population as well. As is that backyard has to be a mosquito hell in the summer. We all know that Chris is the pond master when it comes to restoring a neglected pond.
In the 70s, my father had a swamp dredged to make a pond. He went to the State, and invited them to release trapped beavers in to the pond (very new concept at the time). They released dozens of beavers. They all looked at the muddy mess he created and left. 😆 Took about 5 years for it to settle, and the beavers to start moving back in. Last I seen it, there were dozens of beaver lodges.
Watching you work in swampy pond rebuilds are my favorites from all your projects, pretty satisfying seeing you shape mud banks almost artistic work, nice job !
Beavers the best dam builders there are, really nice that your working along side and helping them. No doubt after you've waved you magic wand, it will look like a million dollars. 👍🤗
I think once Chris is done, the beavers will be so impressed that they’ll pass the word on and other beavers will be hiring Chris to fix their pond dams. :) In all seriousness there is no one that does this sort of work better than Chris, and I’ve see quite a few others.
Ive never seen you do that type pond before with a beaver dam but the beavers will continue to do the part hopefully and make a very nice pond. Keep up the gteat work my friend.
Post 10 will love this one - fixing a beaver pond! What a great idea to preserve what is and just 'fix it up a bit' to make a lovely pond. A first for sure and yes can see you enjoy this work.
It would be nice if both landowners would work together to dredge it out and turn that whole ugly mess into a proper beautiful pond that they could both enjoy.
That’s the thing with neighbors. Sometimes you feel like you hit the lottery and other times ….well, not so much. We shared fence lines with 2 neighbors, one quickly chipped in when we let him know what we were doing….the other made all sorts of recommendations then “grew alligator arms” when it was time to share the bill. Later, she had the gall to ask if *my* trees were going to block *her* view of *my* pond….yeah, probably so
@@genesispuredeaf2390 That sort of neighbor must be more common than we expect. I have one who would present such a suggestion as being a "win win" proposition.
Hey Chris You gotta do more of these types of jobs . Your energy level and enthusiasm are way up ! Super positive ! You figuring out wacky jobs is very entertaining to watch.
Chris, nice job! You really have a creative mind to turn a beaver pond back into a lake very talented, can’t wait to see the end result I know it will be great!
Well sir, project pays the bills, you get to do your favorite thing and that is to “SLICK THINGS UP” and it may even impress those little dam builders some. Have fun with the project and thanks for taking us along.
Scary stuff watching Chris in this giant mud pie ready to sink. What dawned on me was realizing i cant question anything Chris does. I think that's what makes it so entertaining. Wouldn't catch me doing this!
Yes, this is a first for you fixing a pond for beavers. The Pond Master back and enjoying it. I bet you would be more at ease if you were on mats to start this project but we know how you can dig a machine out like that rental that you & Uncle Jon rescued. I like Jonathan W`s name for snakes - Copperheaded rattle moccasins.
This is a first a reclamation project for beavers and future good soil. Cool project, do not sink, LetsDig18 will have to rescue you. :) Thank you and have a great day. PS You would have to mention snakes! :)
That's more of a stream to me, Chris. It's not wide enough to be a creek. When I was living in a place called Cooks Mills, at the end of my father's property, that waterway was called Lyons Creek. The road north of it was called Lyons Creek Road. Cooks Mills is at the eastern side of Welland. It was a wonderful place to live, before I moved out in November of 1991.
The pond master at work again your insight is amazing to make something out of nothing truly brilliant to watch how can one man and a machine achieve so much as far as I am concerned best channel on UA-cam 🎉
