    Also instead of working the "hard dirt trying to get a full scoop" just go into the dirt, with the bucket higher, and back drag the dirt to loosen it up! Saves wear and tear on your machine! And makes life easier. Also. Try to avoid wheel spin when loading, cos it will just fatigue you, going over the bumps every single time! I've never ran a rear wheel drive loader. All of mine have been 4x4 with lock up, so it makes it easier not to spin the tires!

    Just got my first tractor today and moved a bunch of dirt on a new homestead. Smoothing things out didn't go so smoothly. Got some good tips from this vid. Back at it tomorrow!

      You have probably figured this out but putting your bucket in float mode makes smoothing things out real easy.

    • @xvit
      @xvit 2 роки тому

      If your loader has float mode this is way better for smoothing, so long as the dirt is loose. Float mode means the arms move freely, and the bucket sits on the ground due to gravity. This follows contours of the ground better when back dragging. You can also tilt the bucket up a bit over a deep spot to raise its level and leave more dirt there.

    first tips are trash, if you want to load a bucket the proper way, set your bucket flush with the ground, drive into the material and as you feel the machine slow down , lift your bucket up. youll get a full load like that. for example @ :12 as soon as that tractor stops moving lift your lucket up, dont tilt it any and youll pick up a full bucket in most cases also for better back dragging on somewhat muddy ground using a steep angle on the loader bucket will cause the soil to scallop, not always the case but a finer finish will be made with a shallower angle so your blade should be around a 30-45 angle . You can also back-drag harder packed dirt using a full bucket and just dropping it on the ground and it will move more material easier.

    Learning to use the float control is where much of the finesse comes in when operating a FEL based on my limited experience and even more with snow removal. Nice Vajayo! BTW not to be rude but that is some nasty looking soil you have to work with there.

    My 4500 rear tire loss traction really easy. Is this because they are not loaded? Do loaded tires make a big difference?

      Actually, I came here looking for tips on clutch/gear/throttle when trying to fill the bucket, got any? Am I rigth that if it's like a car/truck, then it's important to only engage the clutch when the tractor can start moving freely. Then when you hit a rock if you don't dis-engage the clutch right away, you'll either stall the engine (too high a gear) or the tires will start to spin, but the clutch should not slip/wear. Is this correct?

    My loader is designed to carry a maximum of 8,000kg in a full bucket, but after spending a lot of time on my machine. I'm averaging, 14,000-16,000kg per bucket. And I have my bucket high, low, on the ground when travelling, doesnt bother me. Sometimes it's fun, to come up to where you want to drop the payload, put the breaks on, and completely lift the back end of the machine off the ground.
