Digging A Pond

  • Here we dig out a small pond for a client in his backyard where a sinkhole once was. It has about a 3.5' center depth with sloping sides and a 1.5' deep filtering section. We took away about ~38 yards worth of material from the site and I might be back to help with liner and rocks!

    Was watching you work, digging all that sand and thinking, that will never hold water. Glad you mentioned he's putting in a liner. Good job sir, especially with the small tractor.

    Brilliant use of your BX. I'm a new owner of a BX and enjoy watching others work, I studied your movements and it seems every motion of the controls has a purpose. It is clear you are thinking and anticipating your next moves in advance. People take notice, if you are hiring someone to dig out, that is where you get your best bang for the buck. Kudos. Steve

    You could’ve called me, with what they do to my yard, I think my dogs could’ve dug you a hole twice as big in a day or two.
    But really though, it’s incredible what those tiny tractors are capable of. I alot of times wish I had gotten a slightly smaller tractor and used the extra money to get a cab or some additional implements

    • @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
      @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC  3 роки тому +2

      Hahaha, I'm lucky in that our dogs only like to rip roots and branches off trees. Helpful for land clearing gigs!
      For sure, this tractor always impresses myself and the people I do work for. I think these small tractors make for great starter and small job equipment, as you can get so much versatility out of them with the base unit and attachments. Doesn't excel at anything, but let's you do a whole bunch of different stuff and gets the job done in the end.

    Just found your channel and I enjoy it. I’m a landscaper also and have been considering buying a bx23s because it is a lighter machine for residential homes but wasn’t sure if it has enough power. Watching you dig that pond I was pretty impressed. Would you buy that same machine again if you had to do it over again. Thanks.

    • @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
      @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks! I would definitely recommend a subcompact TLB for any landscaper. So many different attachments and tasks you can do for residential jobs, as well as minimal size/impact on the site.

    This video (editing wise) filled all my needs to enjoy watching a video. So great job, knew when to speed it up, slow it down, skip to just showing trailer loads and the pile going down. Just curious, do you only excavate or will you help with lining and moving in boulders to install the whole pond? Would love to see the end result of this.
