- Marked by wars and 45 years of Soviet occupation, Budapest is one of the most fascinating cities in Europe. Having become an ultra trendy destination, it is a city with two faces, which is constantly reinventing itself. Its grandiose thermal baths, its incredibly rich architectural heritage and its historic palaces attract up to four million tourists every summer. Among them, many French people attracted by unbeatable prices but also by activities that cannot be found anywhere else. Exasperated by the incessant skids of tourists who prevent them from sleeping, some residents are fighting to reclaim their neighborhood. Other residents, threatened with eviction, have also decided to react.

Homophobic ? The Hungarians know the difference between right and wrong . And they're not afraid to stand for the right and against the wrong . I salute them . We Americans use to have such courage .
Here is the thing. Hungarians born in the 60’s are in fact homophobic. However, this “hatred” stops at verbal insults.
Any hungarian born after the 60’s does not give a flying fluff about who you are attracted to.
Hungarians who were born in the 90’s (just like anyone born in the 90’s in any country) use the word gay as a minor slur, but the word gay as a slur lost its meaning. When someone says it’s gay it is like saying it’s lame, it is not used in a sexual way.
Hungarians born in 2000 or later do not really use se xual slurs unless they cane from a low IQ family.
In general every sexuality is welcome in Hungary especially in Budapest as long as you keep it to yourself.

The voice overs were terrible. The interviewees were speaking perfect English and the translators chopped up what they were saying. It sounded like drag queen Story Hour

If the pools shown by day are the same pools by night, then I have a hard time believing that that water is as "medicinal" as we're led to believe. There's no way with all that drinking and frolicking around, folks are actually getting out of the pool to relieve themselves. The way my germaphobia is set up, that would never be me. It looks like a fun time, but I'll watch from the sidelines. 😂

@@exstazius Im not in a position to doubt whether or not the "medicinal" values that are purported about these pools are what had you feeling better. Although, if it was, then that's wonderful and hopefully you'll get to visit again. That still doesn't change my thoughts about the unsanitary aspects of such a place being deemed as therapeutic. I find it hypocritocal to host both a mineral healing pool by day and essentially a pool bar functioning as a porta potty by night, in the same water. But thats just me. 🤷🏾♀️😂

What's with the voiceovers? It's superfluous when the interviewees speak English, often more eloquently than the voiceover who is just repeating inaccurately what's being said. Also, the Hungarian translations are terrible. Just sayin'.....

I would assume they spelt it out in case the video would be fact checked. There are a lot of automations out there now that fact check any mention of that word.

'One of the Most Fascinating' - are you sure ? - what about Warsaw or Vienna?. In Europe every old city has his very own, particular fascination - food, history, architecture, way of life. Of course Budapest is OK - when I get back from Asia I always choose to land in Budapest over Bucharest, because is clean and nice to walk around. But for the nightlife and the vibrant atmosphere I prefer Cluj.
The channel creator did not say that it is the ONLY fascinating city .. the channel creator "DID" indicate that Budapest is "ONE" of the most fascinating cities .. hence .. ONE of many .. you get it ? ✌🙂
