I picked up my new Clio today... a couple of years ago I lost control of my old Clio on a nasty bend and to this day, I swear if I'd been driving anything other than that Clio, I wouldn't be typing this!
I love this car! :D I'm getting myself a Clio early next year, a Mk2 facelift model... Because I can't afford a newer one and I don't like them anyway. But! I wish I could afford this new one, it's beautiful.
I think it looks very good for this segment - Really like the lower belly line, thats quite some dynamic lines there. The hidden rear door handles, as already mentioned by other commenters, is no news at all, but it´s still a nice element. Was missing some more info about practicality, cause driving will be more interesting when the sport´s versions reach the market.
I really like the design of this car, but the volumes allowed for even smoother/more rounded shapes, especially above the rear wheel. Still looks great though.
You can't compare CLIO with GOLF mate, You can compare it with Polo, Fiesta, Ibiza, Punto, 208, Swift, C3. And the comparative of VW Golf is Megane, Focus, Leon, Astra, Giulietta, C4.
Don't talk bullshit. Renault has some of the highest crash protection technology and safety ratings of any car. VW initially had a relative poor rep for safety not so long ago, well, it was about average nothing to rave over.
Can please someone tell me how can I disable the traction control? ESP/ASR?? there is no button for it like all the cars I know...I tried to call Renault in UK but they don't answered me about this question...
I drove this new Clio few days ago. I don't like look of the car, when you look it from side, proportions are all wrong. But there are few things I didn't like in car, first, on rear seats, car don't have so much headroom as old model, in Clio 3 I was ok, in this one NOT - I'm 186 cm - 6'1 tall. Second thing is gearbox, it's not good as before, so I'm little disappointed with car...
ok.. i think you are the oonly one that doesnt like this car design.. i mean it's futuristic design.. it will last like the last fiesta.. the design its inspired by De Zir and Renault alpine concept car.. great designs.. that's your oppinion and i respect it.. when you said you didnt like it, i thought you're joking.. but hey.. there is no accounting for tastes :)
Fucking technology evolving all the time. I have the same 1.5 dci lump, yet it produces 80bhp and just 50mpg, good for 2005, but well jel of this engine.
really?? sounds in the cabin to make different engine sounds?? this is now a video game?? i love renault but now i understand why they are having difficult times...
Nice car, didn't really like it at first, but it really is nice. looked at the 208, nice but too girly looking. This clio is one of the few butch looking superminis
at first i was thinking why would you bother with engine noises then i thought Hmm what about Comical engine noises, then that could be a bit more fun...a loud and long Fart noise as you take off :D
Probably just as nasty underneath all the fancy material as its predicessors. Made on a very tight budget and will be plagued with electrical and mechanical faults. When will people learn.

He has done a few reviews before this, from memory he has done one of the mini's and he was good back then too.
love the exterior design!

That application feature seems really unique
If it basically is the same engine maybe you can get your engine closer to the modern ones by upgrading your ECU? Just a thought.
Mh.. engine sound app is a bit sad.. apart from that it seems well refined car, I'm curious to see what Renault Sport can do with this one

Fantastic looking small car. Hopefully it does well for them. Too bad it's not fantastic to drive in standard trim.
This guy is a good reviewer - please hire him Autocar!
Hiding the rear door handle ... also seen on a 15 year old Alfa 147.

seems that renault is moving forward in its design elements...
The rear light looks like those on the Nissan Qashqai.
Like it, Renault have really lifted the bar!!!
im guessing this car is going to be competing against the vauxhall/opel adam and the peugeot 208
new engine sounds pmsl. can you download the AA or on there way sound.
Can please someone tell me how can I disable the traction control? ESP/ASR?? there is no button for it like all the cars I know...I tried to call Renault in UK but they don't answered me about this question...
True, you could have done that to a Kia Soul years ago And it had more choices :)

Who knows, it's more the mpg figure that's the most impressive, probably due to stop/start technology and the likes too.
I do like the look, but my mk11 is the only model I would have, don't like the shape after 2005ish.

An excellent looking car!
Why are hatchbacks getting bigger and bigger :( Compare this clio to a 2002 Mk2 Ph2 and this model looks like a Touareg

u're right , but imagine crash of renault clio 2013 and golf mk4 from 1998 :)
Does it have hands free parking
Hands free parking is an option
Does anyone know what type of oil I put into a renault cleo eco 2013 model.?
well he did a good job i bought it ^^
french looks are elegant
Nice car, didn't really like it at first, but it really is nice. looked at the 208, nice but too girly looking. This clio is one of the few butch looking superminis
Except for the big Renault logo at the front, it is a nice car. When you start configuring it, the price skyrockets...
Peugeot 208 is so much better! It even looks a whole lot better too.
"taking personalisation to a whole new level". 7 colours + stickers and different colour trim/wheels. Not exactly ground-breaking :/
Take this over Golf everyday.
at first i was thinking why would you bother with engine noises then i thought Hmm what about Comical engine noises, then that could be a bit more fun...a loud and long Fart noise as you take off :D
that badge is way too big
This is not review, this is advertisement
looks like abit of alfa romeo hatch on rear
when they say mpg do they mean miles or kilometers
Miles. MPG= Miles per Gallon (UK, though which is different to US)
They don't use KM in the UK...
ive got a long way to go from my 2002 clio lmao
stop attack french man, we are in crisis, but we are the foundators of automobile, don't miss it
cool car
Cool
i stopped at 90hp.
Left hand drive in the U.K. Lol
amclellan84 it's a French reg...

That front end.. Bleugh. Why are manufacturers making uglier cars than the cars they replace? (Unlike the 208. Thats one of the exceptions :P )
hmm good interiors...
too much renault trucks badges produced
I'm the ninth one to like this video and no one can change that now.. :)
Vw polo all the way, was the best and always will be the best supermini
fi
Banfi film
Polo styling is dreary
rear-door handle was used by Alfa and Honda 5 years ago....so not clever but old news... I could do a better review than this guy
when u compare vw golf mk4 euroncap crash test and crash test of this car u can clearly see how bad french body quality is.
me aburo
no me gusta
hahaha troll :|
first
racist ? i am comparing built quality of two cars thats not racicst .
isnt that a bit racist?
Looks like a Japanese car, not enough personality for me...
No thank you, ugly car.
2014 clio ugly...
