  • In this video I show off more of my insect collection. I take a look at each specimen and share some stories about the specimens. In this video I mostly show off true bugs (Hemiptera) and more beetles.

    I noticed you caught the box elder bug in Idaho, which, as a native Idahoan, I can say that they’re everywhere and they’re really annoying even though they’re completely harmless. There’s this park we go to every year for family gatherings that is literally filled to the brim with those things, like, everywhere you look, there’s a box elder bug. Great video, by the way! My grandfather had a similar bug collection, so this video is really interesting to me
    Edit: I didn’t know toe biters were native to Idaho, what?!

    If you want to find Toadbugs, go to the Black River in the Missouri Ozarks. Billions of insects live in and along the river.

      Yessir.They are horrible! I’ve said this before,but I’ll say it again.Id rather have cockroaches then ever have to deal with bed bugs ever again.
      I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with both kinds,and bed bugs are by far harder to get rid of if you ask me.

  • @Hotchpotchsoup
    @Hotchpotchsoup 4 роки тому +1

    Not gonna watch it because seeing impaled creatures makes me feel sick to my stomach... Just came here to say I really hope you don't impale them while they're still alive, hope you have the small amount of respect for living things to atleast suffocate them or gas them before adding them to your Vlad the Impaler reenactment...

    • @jamesblakely79

      They are dead when they are pinned. Entomologists generally kill their insects with chemicals, (such as ethyl acetate) which is the most humane way, and it is for scientific research, not pleasure. Some of us even rear some of our specimens in a lab until they die of natural causes, which would then be pinned.
