Potentially if you are not careful. Good point. Probably best to just tap with your hand or cut open. I will make another video about this again in the future. I just really wanted to find some insects and probably got a little too into it haha!
Thank you, Jason, for the cardboard trap idea. Too, since spiders are one of my favorite insects, I am very much looking forward to your next two live episodes! Unlike your cold days in Idaho, here in the South, the insects are very active, a happy happenstance. Found a juvenile phasmid this morning - in the house, no less!
I try these for sure. I have some bamboo in my garden, and when i was weeding it a few days ago, i saw all kinds of tiny spiders, like 1 millimeter. Maybe using this i can take some inside to look at them with a magnefying glass n stuff, thanks.
Do you have any tips on catching bigger beetles like stags? I've heard that kids in Japan will splash sugar water on the trees and wait until night time during the humid summers
I don't know I have never tried this. Black lighting can work good. Stay tuned on Thursday at about 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time and you might see a method that works good for some beetles. :)
That spider in the end is so cute omg
It was very tiny!
If u gonna stomp the cardboard on the plate, wont u squish any insect that falls off if you tab it so repeatedly.

"Why are spiders evil"
Why is this something that needs to be asked? The answer is obviously no
Haha that's right
Nothing more cute than a jumping spider !

@@InsectHunter Yes!! Awesome thank you so much
Looking forward to the upcoming video slate!

Great, it's more a house than a trap ! can be used to get the first earwigs, lacewings and ladybugs in the garden in spring and control aphids.
im seeing little tiny spiders spinning long threads in the woods. its about 42 degrees here today
Have you ever made a trap for collecting burrowing wasps at the burrow entry?
