If they'd tried to drive away, the hook would have been held on the bottom of the car. Something that could have been disastrous for Johnny would be if the winch was still free spooled. When he pulled the hooks down the bed, the winch was unlocked from the hydraulic drive mechanism. If he didn't return the release handle, the car could be driven away, taking the wire rope with it. He wouldn't be able to pursue the car, unless someone else with another car was ready to go. Certainly the winch rope would be utterly useless once yanked off the spool. I had to take one to my house, tape it far enough from the frayed end, and cut it back with an abrasive wheel chop saw. Then I could back out the set screw and reinstall the wire rope. Took a couple hours to get the truck back in operation. That particular situation was due to other drivers not knowing how to maintain proper wrap on the spool, causing cross stacking from unwinding the spool under the wire rope. I'm closing in on four years in the truck I'm currently assigned. I've had to replace the original wire rope once, so I'm on the truck's second. 200,000 miles coming this month. I was using my rollbacks for this same type of thing, but one year ago this month I drove to NC and bought a DYNAMIC LIGHTNING self loader mounted on a single cab F450; my only regret is that I did not buy one of these five years ago!! I can roll up on a car or truck and have it loaded in less than 30 seconds, & never get out of the cab....depending on the circumstance, I may strap it in right there, or pull to another part of the parking lot to buy some time as to avoid confrontation. Since my F450 is a gas-burner, it's quiet too, so it is STEALTHY! Aside from my first truck, it's the best equipment purchase I've ever made. Parking decks, garages, etc....it can go anywhere.....& with my COLLINS self loading dollies, a 4x4 or AWD is no problem either.

She learned her lesson good! Thanks for another great video! Stay safe and stay healthy!
Awesome to have your twin brother with you!!! Would love to see more of you two!!!
She had time to change her clothes before she payed it out. Your super patient Johnny
Your videos are a genuine slice of life. Thank you
You have a blessed Soul have a blessed day and blessed life doing what you love and thanks for all you do for us
Did you say blessed enough? Ridiculous.
Johnny being the great guy he is....Handling business like a boss.... Thankyou
Hey, at least she didn't come running out in a towel! That would be an image you couldn't undo..... Thanks for the entertainment Johnny!
You handled this situation very well. Thanks for the great Content!
Looks like the lady went back upstairs and put on some underwear and figured you would have unhooked it by then so she was going to drive off on you. I really doubt they own or rent a garage unit there or he would have known right off it was not in front of his. They just did not want to pay for the priviledge of being parking nightmare people. So sorry! You got busted. Now you must pay.
And then she thought she would drive off after you told her that the car was hooked. 🤔🤔🙄🙄
This is so common where I live, the HOA said that owners cannot part in front of their own garages anymore because they commonly mistakenly park in front of their neighbor's garage, blocking them in. Cars were getting towed weekly.
Best ties are hook and book. Professionalism is top notch with these people
God forbid these people should have to walk a bit by finding a spot away from their building. It’s easier to just inconvenience someone else.
Exactly that, it’s how many people behave now.
Johnny you are always so polite. Even when I can tell your patience is wearing thin. 💜
I used to think most of them people that tow or boot vehicles are soul-less. You have compassion my friend, tow-long and prosper!
Both the man and the woman knew exactly what they did. $100 was not enough for this unhook.
The only person she needs to be pissed at is herself for parking in front of the wrong one, not get mad at you for her dumbness...
You park in front of the wrong garage? That's fine. Just pay it out, and you're good to go. A hundred bucks will teach you a lesson. Good yank, Johnny!
Unreal crash, people will say anything to get out of being yanked! Great work as all ways Johnny stay safe man
It AMAZES me how naturally inconsiderate some people are....they just park in the closest spot they see- Doesn't matter to them IN THE LEAST if it's blocking other cars in (or out) or even if they're parked in a handicapped spot: Just as long as they're parked closer to their apartment. 8
You have more patience than most tow drivers they got lucky you were nice and waited
Glad to see you rolling out these videos...love it! 💙
I'm glad you made her pay for parking in front of the garage. I think she thought saying I'm sorry would get her off the hook
The person who got blocked is so kind
I think someone blocking someone's garage or driveway should be a $500 drop fee, if these people can't get out they could be First Responders or medical emergencies!
You are a good man, Johnny. I appreciate your ability to stay calm.
Johnny you my good man are a class act. I look forward to watching your uploads, I look for them daily. I understand that it takes hours to edit for a 20 minute clip. I truly appreciate you and your honesty in being straight upfront and treating people good.
THE LORD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU, THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
I also am a twin, great job man.

Love this driver’s attitude, would call him, hire him in a second.
Wow, "cars everywhere", who'd a thunk? It's a parking lot!
I'm sure there will be those that say he could have let them go, but all Johnny's doing is the job he was hired for and following the rules.
You are the most professional and kind tow truck driver I have ever seen
You're a good man, Johnny. When she said, "No money", I'd have said, "Okay", and finished loading it. They can cry poor to your boss, after that, because it ain't your problem.
I LIKE THIS GUY (and all other Parking enforcement officers)
They were going to move the car before they paid then tell you to get lost. Good job, man. For some reason she couldn't park in front of her own garage when she came in, and just decided to make it another resident's problem.
Looks like they have 3 cars, or a garage full of junk so they can't fit a car in it.
there is two of you? lucky for the world, we need more like you! safe travels towtrucker and towtrucker-twin
@Scotty secretly loves Chryslers humor. That was humor
In tows like this I've seen Johnny tighten that cable as the guy runs out. He tightens that cable and things start happening fast - the cash comes out, the phone, "Here's my Venmo". Tightening the cable says "This is my car now. You want it back? Maybe we can work something out."
BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
Tow truck driver, psychologist, and mediator all in one... 🙂
Amazes me that people can be so clueless.
I kinda feel like people don’t quite get how the business works I’m in Australia and this kind of thing here is probably not as common maybe we have plenty of clear way and accident towing but it seems like they assume they owe you nothing but they need to realise you have wasted time and fuel coming out to tow nuance cars and it’s the obligation of the owner of said car to make amends the person disadvantaged by the unwanted car is not responsible and if it’s hooked you gotta pay it out simples
💯👍Thank you for all the great content also all the hard work you do with your channel and your job. Glad to see those people were okay in the car accident like you had said thank GOD! Everybody was cool except for the actual lady that blocked the garage her husband seemed to get what was going on. How you do your job and keep the channel going so wonderfully great with all this stress and the million things you have to do. I do not know how you do it. As always MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY STAY SAFE.
Great guy with good heart you handle yourself in a professional manner how you do I don't know with some these people lol thanks for videos love umm ☮️be safe out there Johnny
“ any other tow guy would have left already” too true! I’m not waiting at all! Be glad it was Johnny!
I have been blessed with the opportunity to run my own Towing Company, the same one that My Grandfather started up over 65 years ago. My father took it over first after my grandfather passed away, and now I have it because my dad retired. After doing this type of work, I could never do anything else. I tow heavy equipment most of the time, but I definitely do no parking calls and police calls. Those calls are like Money in the Bank. Either they pay or I keep the car after 90 days , well I file for the paperwork. Sometimes I get stuck with junk cars, but I just sale the parts off of them. That's better money in the long run.
Rollin' In Hot Again... Cool Video.
"Well you need to get $100"
Proceeds to enter hooked up car.
Some people just don't get it.
You have the right personality to do this job. Stay safe brother.
I love it when you say we are rolling in hot.
Between him lying about that being his garage and her trying to be slick and drive off, I would have finished towing that car. You're a very nice person Johnny.
i love seeing you yank these people who don't care about anyone else but themselves.
That guy knew it wasnt his garage, he was hoping youd believe him n unhook it, that broad knows which garage is hers, how can you not know your garage? If she dont, she sure does now, after a 100 bucks... haha! Serves that broad right
My thoughts exactly!!!
Had this happen to me when I had to be at work at 5 am. They knew it was someone else's garage and just hoped they'd get lucky. Hate these people.
Being a tow truck driver would have to be an extremely stressful job, dealing with disgruntled people on a regular basis.
