Thanks! Yes, dark is an understatement for just how evil the subject matter of this film is. A first time viewing experience of this can certainly linger in someone's mind for a while.
I'm glad you decided to make this review, even though i feel sad that you had to burn another chunk of your soul to do so! My opinion about it is exactly the same as yours, every single word you said. Still an interesting piece IMO, not because it's good or because i have a twisted mind (quite the opposite), but because it makes you rethink about porn (like you mentionned, it rewires the brain). Even though you may think that Srdjan Spasojevic's message wasn't clearly delivered... You end up so shocked/disturbed that you have no other things in mind that negativity about porn itself (even regular legal porn). I believe that's the whole goal with this monstrosity. Good job on the review man! I really enjoyed it :)
Thanks! Yes, even if that isn't the intended message, I still walk away with that feeling. 8mm is another disturbing film that's similar to this but nowhere near as extreme, but with a similar theme, even if the Serbian Film theme is unintended.
@@justinktobin I agree, but I still believe that one of the intended message was to evoque the dark side of the porn industry (in a ridicucously extreme/exagerated way). Even in legal porn industry, there is A LOT of immoral/borderline illegal stuff happening. Girls are often extremely manipulated (no pun intended), there a lot of sextorsion and stuff like that happenning behind the scenes, but all we see is the girl having wild fun. It shows that when you get into this industry, you may get stuck and almost ''forced'' to do things, and it may only get worse with time. Of course, it is shown as dark arts. We seem to have quite a few things in commun, so If you're willing to share your email adress with me, we could share some stuff (movies and filmmaking/camera stuff). I'm from Québec, Canada.
@@davidmultimedia2024 Indeed, it sure seems like we have a lot of common. My info is in the About section. Go ahead and send me one and we can chat that way.
I look at it like this: if you don’t want to see it then don’t watch it. I really feel that the direction of the movie is if you are going to do it THEN DO IT RIGHT! This will be talked about for years and years as one of the most disturbing movie ever made!
Would you consider doing a video on The Poughkeepsie Tapes? As far as disturbing flims go I it's nowhere near as intentionally shocking as A Serbian Film but the pornographic element is definitely there in a similar depraved light and the documentary style adds a layer of realism that I'll probably always find disturbing.
Are you going to do a review of the blair witch?
Maybe.
This film could affect the entire life for some people. And it shows us how dark some things in world can be.
Good review

I watched this because I kept hearing it was disturbing and it was I didn’t enjoy the ending 💀💀
The ending was pretty awful. Definitely not a feel good movie.

This movie is definitely disturbing great video on this movie
Thanks!
Finally a decent film critic. I watched it and the hype is worse than the actual film. Its not nice don't get me wrong but I was expecting worse.
It's a shit movie. Nobody would have ever watched it if it wasn't for its notoriety.
