Street photographer Simon Murphy has been taking pictures of the of the Govanhill Community for 20 years. We follow him as he takes the final images for first major exhibition and accompanying book publication.

As a landscape photographer and aspiring street photographer, I cant begin to express how much Simons work is inspiring me each team i walk the streets with my camera. Well done and thank you Simon
I met Simon last year in May when he was photographying people for this project and his analogue camera caught my eye and we exchanged a brief conversation. I’m an amateur photographer myself and Simon inspires me so much to get out and ask strangers for a photo. I haven’t done that in Glasgow but I did it in some other countries while I am traveling and it brings so much joy to their faces and people absolutely love getting photographed. Thanks to BBC for making this amazing documentary.
As a glasgow amateur photographer from castlemilk i must say that was a brilliant watch im also hooked on monochrome photography and usually venture in and around the city centre i did live in govanhill for a year back in the late 90s my m8 still lives there today as aregular visitor to govanhill and queens park i enjoyed this video very much i never knew there were photography galleries there ive only visited the city centre galleries but will be checking govanhill galleries now "your work is amazing by the way .

This is great work, I unbderstand "street photography" to be a more candid genre, I would say this is more "street portraiture" Still good, and only a minor quibble, so dont get me in a massive gammon comment war please.
