This is definitely true even for BMW
@@antonioburke458 BMW build and material quality is at least still very good and consistent and probably the best in the industry. BMWs don't show evidence of cost cutting at all. They seem to be doing the best now.
@@SDav21 I agree, I also think BMWs have an unfairly bad reputation for unreliability, there’s a difference between that and neglect. When looked after and treated for that they are BMWs are absolutely bulletproof.
what are you talking about? the W203 is the worst C class model ever made... i've also had a 204 and drive a 205. never had any rattles... the 204 was the best in terms of build quality and actually no other car from any brand had so many testing hours as the 204. on the other hand the 204 looked rather spartan inside, specially the pre facelift. lets make 1 thing clear, if you can only go low spec you shouldn't be shopping with mercedes (or any other "premium")
You are just talking crap. The w203, was the worst c class Mercedes ever made. Rust was the big issue with this car. The best c class is surely the w204.
nice video, nice interior, but 1.5t no thanks.
Car ownership restrictions imposed by the Singapore government has led this car's price to shoot up to USD 180,000 here. Unobtainable for the masses except the super rich
I can honestly say I feel the exterior design is a downgrade from the previous generation. I will hold out judgement for the coupe though.
Interesting. I actually really like the look of this new C-class, more so than the E and S.
there is no coupe
You are correct the previous generation had a better exterior but the interior on the new looks better. But for me I will be getting the new 3 series as it looks better.
that shit starts from 45k € and is 8/9k€ more expensive than a 3 series. and only a few thousand cheaper than an e class which starts from 48/49€.
the c class is too overpriced
I would have the C-class over an EV any day
You guys get Benzes as company cars???
Prefer the previous model rear end....this one...not so...interior too...
Mercedes couldn't hide the front camera on top of the Mercedes logo or make it less obvious with all the R&D? And give it real dual exhaust tips?
Great tech. When your 3 year warranty expires and it goes wrong - and it will - I don’t fancy a 4-digit bill at each dealer visit. Or you extend the warranty each year for many hundreds of pounds. OPM ? Buy the premium Germans. Using your own money ? Buy Japanese.
In the UK, what Japanese cars are out there being produced in the compact executive class these days? Lexus IS no longer being sold in the UK and then there are no other alternatives. Genesis are available but they are Korean
Buy japanese😂. Reliable? Yes, boring and ugly cars? Yes. Merc is reliable too btw. My C-class is almost 20 years old and its great
Buy a vw arteon instead.. better looking, alot more standard gear, more powerful engine. 52k is a ridiculous 2022 inflation price for a car everything is going up aside from our wages
200bhp from a 1.5? That’s kind of impressive.
🤣
those air vents look so damn goofy, it's not even funny
For a sec, I thought it was Andrew Garfield reviewing this car ...
This or a Kia K5?
Is that a serious question? 🤨
@@odubble yes
@@yurieu5872 pretty stupid one🥴
alot of mercades drivers take up 2 bays or the disabled parking space so need for the 3d view really
What was that reverse camera about? The screen he selected was rubbish. What is wrong with people can they drive?
The design team has definitely run out of ideas ...
Hi everyone! Which would you rather have? The new C, or the BMW 3 Series of Audi A4? Or, perhaps, go EV with a Model 3?
Well, the tesla isn‘t really a competitor to these 3 as it‘s not a luxury car
Model 3 definitely.
@@hsvcommodore4111 book a test drive mate.
I trade in my previous A35 premium plus for a model 3.
Been a fan of Mercedes for many years.
For me Tesla just blow them away in every department.
@@RayRay-bt1ww i didn't say it was a Bad car, it's just not luxurious which is what i would want at the price
@@RayRay-bt1ww - for the price, the Model 3 doesn’t have the quality and refinement of the other 3.
previous design was much better lookin
No thanks! There is a reason they use them as taxis in Germany!

Thank you!
S is for superior, E is for excellent and C? Yup you guessed it…
Shame you cant even buy one... My local dealer wont take any orders on a new C class...
It's crazy, the supply just isn't there. This is why they're so expensive.
Unfortunately seems to be the case with most new cars today.
By far worse than the previous model in means of looks. Less aggressive for every line, especially for AMG line that the difference now comparing to the base model is really meehhhh.
More roundy, looks like a stretched A class
Well it's a bloody sight better looking than the other German repmobiles but I'd still buy a Lexus - 1. Because I'm not a salesman, and 2. They are actually built properly.
If you can't park a car why buy such an expensive one? It's not a stretch limo, who seriously needs all the cameras just to park it? It's a beautiful car all the same.
That nav screen is to low. It will pull your eyes far off the road if you don’t get the HUD.
I'm a Mercedes fan but this is well well overpriced with entry model for £39k is a joke, This is going on for BMW 5 series money and the bmw would be better and alot better to drive
Yeh i'm quite surprised with the pricing model of this. I don't know if it's something to do with cars having gone up in price over the past 8 months or so? I remember looking at an Audi A4 1 year old and in 2020 (when car prices were cheap because of covid) you could get one for £25,000, now it's almost as high as £31,000 for the same, one year old car.
The BMW 3 series 1 year can be bought for around £30,000 so id hope to see these new c classes at around that price range by the end of the spring
@@patrickbarks997 Used car prices have been on the rise ever since the pandemic hit us but that does not apply to new vehicles but new Mercedes prices have been on the rise and it's not just in the UK.
@@Sean-sx2td Yeh i've noticed them increasing a lot over the past 12 months. Hopefully prices will decrease again soon.
@@patrickbarks997 it’s because of the chip shortages.
@@satoshiwiles Yes, exactly and it's a pain
Nice
the rear makes the new C class look cheap!
Should cost like max 5grand fully loaded then we talking.
No vented brakes
Luxury should be "luxury". C class is still plasticcy and cheaply built, despite, yes, if "feels" luxury now, mostly because of the aesthetics and tech
That’s actually a good point, but the quality is the same as an S-Class.
mercedes forever
To quote Mercedes c class as a company car option is becoming and ever increasing non option as some of us are having to full electric and mandated my company car policy
Then there's the cost of maintenance & repairs. A few years of those and you'll wish you had bought something else. Oh wait, nothing gets repaired anymore, just replaced.
eh, I'll take an M340i over this
I stopped counting the word 'S-Class' after 129 times.....
If your comparing to another model at least show the pictures.
I think it’s funny how they trie to make this car sound cheap and that’s far from cheap. If you want cheap buy a base civic of base Corolla that’s cheap.
This is all a finesse, this is a marketing tool for the brands they review! I would like to have a review where it’s more objective like on some nerd shit!! Like how much does the cost of materials differ from other brand/competition. I think the big 3 on living off their laurels, not tangible value.
Why… why would we be doing marketing for Mercedes? Or any other brand? For free?
I can't afford one 😔
I can afford anything, Im a business man
