About 8 years ago I met Mickey Munoz at San Onofre, he was probably 75 at the time--he switched to SUP and was having a blast. I met Jeff Clark and he said he rides a SUP now at Mavericks, has a blast. I might have to try that, since I'm 58.
I really wanna have fun just like these guys! Doing what they love and have fun in the process❤️. But here I am sitting in my house, unemployed, and depressed! I hoped my mother sees how important it is to let their son or daughter follow their dreams and improve their talents..

I knew a guy named Skip that used to stand on a rock in the middle of the point break at Todos Santos Islands at low tide, with 20+ ft waves, wait for the wave, then just jump onto the board, and tear off on the wave. This makes it more flexible, and you don't have to be Skip to get in on the action. Brilliant!

i LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK! also, me and my freinds used to tie a big rock to 2 leashes on a paddleboard, then lower the rocks. (they acted as an anchor) so, we would paddle it out, drop the rock, and bomb drop off it into waves. it was a 11 foot SUP so it was really stable
Man these are guys are sooo good. I lived in Cali for 7 years, got good enough to ride the waves a little bit... but for these guys to carve the water & go where they want to go instead Vice-versa, insane for 99%.
That is brilliant. I think they were having more fun jumping from it then surfing. Looks like a blast! Plus you save all that energy not having to paddle.
When I first saw this video of the dock, when it came out, I hadn't laughed that hard for that long in decades, doubled over rolling on the floor. What a great idea.... This idea of a plastic snake like flexy dock is so entertaining. And the spontaneity of the surfers to come up with hilarious high performance moves the whole time is so amazing. I'd love to see more of the dock in the future. Of course it would have to be done more safely. A stronger rig and anchoring method, and fail safe non injurious components. And it would have to be easily removable, for bad ocean days, stormy conditions, or dangerous situations. But I'm talking about, continuing and possibly expanding on the original idea here. Can you imagine how much fun, events, games, and contests could be with the dock. It could turn into a whole unique venue and sport. Like how the surf ranch has taken off. Maybe they could have special or side events at wave pools as well, due to the more controllable environment.

My uncle who lived in hawaii took me out in waikiki. Very calm waves and i caught about 3 good waves where i rode for atleast 10 seconds. Very fun
