Just wanted to share to you guys some tips on how I do my cosplay makeup (and sometimes pretty much regular makeup).

Also don't worry, I've got another Steven Universe video coming up again. This might be my last for a while since I'm going to medschool and I want to concentrate on my studies first. Hope you guys will still stick around :)

I feel you for the light foundation. I have really tan skin, but since Danganronpa characters ARE THE PALEST THINGS EVER I use a foudnation 2 shades lighter XD
You shouldn't have to make yourself paler for a character, just be you and be happy :) I feel the same way too and it makes me hate my skin tone :(
@@willyperez2475 Ah, my goal for cosplay personally is making it as canon as possible! People have different goals, some just like to have fun, some like to make it over the top, I like to make it as similar to the character as possible! I don't do that with every character, just the girls, because Kazuichi has tanner skin that looks closer to my skin tone! But I have never liked my skin tone (I have tan olive skin since I'm Italian) because it doesn't go with many colors lol. But when I do cosplay my goal is to NOT be me, its to be the character!

naah, danganronpa characters aren't the palest, yttd characters have literally *white* skin...
Instead of hairspray, you can use also setting sprays! It's not sticky and you won't smell like hair ^^
Oh I do use setting spray too! But during occasions when I know it's going to be a hot sweaty day or I'm doing face and body paint, I use hairspray :D We do it in theatre all the time especially since the theatre lights can be soooo hot
Just an interesting thing I have noticed... Going with almost white/white skin using aubergine or burgundy for contours works better than Brown... Looks a bit more natural somehow
One of the only times it's a pain to have naturally full and dark eyebrows....

I’m pale as hell, so it’s a benefit for cosplaying characters from anime or most tv shows.

It can be a little intimidating at first, especially if you don't have a lot of sources or friends in the hobby to begin with, but the great thing about these days is that google is a cosplayer's best friend so you've got a place to start.
And if you don't have friends that are into cosplay, y'all can start small until they warm up to it! Though even if they don't, the cosplay community tends to be warm and you'll make friends along the way. I made one of my bestest friends through cosplay and that was just the second convention I went to!

I'm normally pale so the lightest foundation I have is a bit darker but I have this powder I use over it to get rid of my freckles

I noticed you wear glasses but wore the green coloured contacts. Did you wear prescription ones, and, if so , where did you find them? I literally can't see without wearing contacts but all my characters have abstract coloured eyes.
A year late lol but If youre still hunting I think pinky paradise does colored prescription lenses

The only problem is finding a foundation, if I visit a cosmetics shop the lightest shade is usually still too dark

I used Wet n Wild Matte Setting spray but Nyx Matte Setting spray is also good on a budget but if you can, Urban Decay All Nighter really works!!

Question, what about non-human toned characters? I’m thinking of cosplaying Ena from Auction Day & Extinction Party because they’re one of my favorite characters and they’re skin is half blue-half yellow.
i felt called out in the one abt lighter foundation lol. ig i hv a tan my skintone in the summer, about the same as that person in the video maybe a bit lighter? but then fall and winter hits and boom back to my normal foundation again.
For my eyebrows I just use gel food dye lol I don't even cover my original eyebrow color

NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk is what I use, but any white liner will work! For budget friendly ones, I recommend Rimmel , L'oreal , or wet n' wild!

Could i use eyeshadow as blush? I dont have blush....

You definitely can! Just apply it a little more sparingly because eyeshadow tends to be more pigmented than blush.
Me who has very light skin so foundations never work (I use the lightest one because it's best but I feel it looks silly) and contour is so hard because I have no clue of my undertone 😂😂😂😂

Glue stick method? Explain pls
i believe its basically glueing down your eyebrows with a glue stick so you can put foundation or something over it, making it look like your eyebrows went missing and just drawing on some new ones with that characters hair color. i dont know what to do for certain as i only heard of this method a bit so just research and there ya go

go to an actual makeup store. they have way more shades than anywhere else. plus if you dont know exactly what you're doing they have assistants that can help

anyways, im actually scared to ask my mother if i can cosplay at the moment since i need to focus my money into my puppy's vaccines. (i'm a 10y/o female with about $900 in romanian currency saved up by myself) i may ask later in the year once i'm done with the vaccines that are needed for your puppy to be as healthy as possible i may ask my mother to cosplay, wish me luck everyone-

When you don't need to worry about cosplaying pale characters because even when you have a tan your pale as heack(like seriously I have a tan right now and I still use the colour porsalin) (I don't know how to spell it 🤣 🤣)
Ive seen cosplayers put lipstick in their eyebrows and im just like 😳 thats gonna be hard to get out
one tip, if you have really dry skin please don't set it with poweder this will really make your face look more dry ad cakey and yeah not that her way is not right but more for more oily skin
