Minitendo LP I was playing this last night and Act 2 alone had me almost crying. Luckily I was able to get a bunch of lives and continue on to Crystal Egg Zone. That being said, I feel like this stage would have been better for the final stage. I mean everything about this stage from its difficulty and even the music just cries final stage.

Eggman is a funny guy, but he can be a really twisted man when he wants to be. (As if the sonic satam cartoon didn't make that clear enough) (i'm also talking about the bad ending to sonic 2).
Sonic 2 on MS-2 was so difficult. Some of the Emeralds were so hard to get. I remember encountering a bug one day. I captured all emeralds and defeated Silver Sonic but it did not release the emerald...I could have thrown the controller at the CRT TV because the entire run was ruined, hours wasted. xD
