It's good to have Sonic Chaos remixes. This game is underrated and too often entirely forgotten. It was a great game for the Master System. As a kid who could not afford a Mega Drive, I loved this one because at that time I felt like it was so close to the 16-bit Sonic games. Hell, you could play Tails (and fly with it), the graphics were good, you could get your rings back when touched by ennemies... it was such an improvement over the first Sonic 8-bit (and Sonic 2 8-bit I've always hated it). It was the only Sonic game I've been able to finish without cheating until Sonic & Knuckles much later.
Why wasnt it Mecha Green Hill Zone in Sonic Forces instead of Green Hill Zone With Sand Better yet this would've been a nice final stage in Sonic Mania
Yeah ok two year old comment I know...but if you look at the lost valley concept art it shows green hill in a storm with more metal tiles and barbwire eta...something happened and it ticks me off a bit
The final section of the track (or the chorus I guess?) does sound a bit bad future-y - a bit melancholy and distressed despite the fast-paced beat. I don't know, that's the kinda vibe I get from the melody and chords.
Jeeze, how many stage remixes is there of Green Hill? Also, this would sound wicked if it was Megaman X5-ized. And also, quite possibly, a mix of rock and frantic jungle.
+ChibiTails I actually composed a remix of this and zeros theme go to vgmusic sega game gear section and download the midi of mecha green hill zone that says zeros theme after get a midi converter (note: make sure you get a free one with no need of registration)
You'll probably be excited to hear about Sonic Hysteria... It's a fangame in development, planned to feel a lot like Mania (and Mecha Green Hill Zone will be featured in it)
Smug Sneasel It sounds more like a remix of Green Hills, which was an 8-bit version of Toot Toot Sonic Warrior. I heard the similarities as well, but there are too many differences to count, meaning I can't say it's "You can do anything" Otherwise, I'd believe and agree with many people that Green Hill(Genesis) and Dreams of an Absolution were the same. .3.
Green Hill Zone is the past, Green Hills (the one level in sonic 2 for master system) is the present, Mecha Green Hill is the bad future.... Now we only need a good future remix.
0:00 - 0:05 seems to have a reference to the Megaman Zero series, referring closely towards the Megaman Zero 1 game and from Megaman X's Zero's theme (I don't remember which MMX game though)
It's probably the other way around as this came first. This was a popular MS/GG game so its no wonder they made their song sound like one of the themes.
It's a wierd color scheme, bopping music, and a decent challenge.
The best Green Hill. Hands down.
8-bit!
@@spittin_BXRS AND 16 bit
Its Same 8bit and 16bit
This is the only correct version of green hill.
Mecha Green Hill Zone... more like Mecha Green Hills Zone!
@Guille gameplays R/woosh
Green Hills Zone bad future
Green Hills Bad Future
Hahaha i dont get it
@@Waluigihasaweapon The joke is that the music from Mecha Green Hill is a remix of Green Hills from sonic 2 8-bit
I never noticed until now that this song is a remix of Green Hills Zone from Sonic 2 on the Game Gear. Pretty neat!
@mr.segasaturn5776 No? Sonic CD came out in 1993, Sonic 2 for the SMS came out in 1992.
@@Nyx_Goddess_of_Night_46 Yeah... so it's a remix of Green Hills? I genuinely don't understand the point you were trying to make here.
@@3headedyorkee324 I was replying to a deleted comment that was claiming that You Can do Anything came before Green Hills Zone.
@@Nyx_Goddess_of_Night_46 Huh, well I look like a frickin idiot now don't I?
@@3headedyorkee324 I'm glad there's still people listening to these goated remixes from Nico.

Cheated in sonic & knuckles?
Oh hell yeah. This is an awesome Sonic game, easily my favorite 8 bit Sonic game. Too bad it's short and really easy.
@@amadeusthecat69 idk that aquatic Level boss is hard
@@AlexSmith-tp7xu Eh, I think that the special stages are harder.
SMS Sonic 2 and Sonic Chaos have a pretty amazing compositions limited by the system's shoddy hardware. Severly underrated Sonic music.
What
Right
Out of all the green hills zones this one is the best
Why wasnt it Mecha Green Hill Zone in Sonic Forces instead of Green Hill Zone
With Sand
Better yet this would've been a nice final stage in Sonic Mania
Truly a missed opportunity.
Agreed. Green hill is too cliched now.
(Slaps 'Mecha' on it) THAT WORKS.
Yeah Best Idea
Yeah ok two year old comment I know...but if you look at the lost valley concept art it shows green hill in a storm with more metal tiles and barbwire eta...something happened and it ticks me off a bit
Probably something along the lines of they didn't want to look to similar to grand metropolis zone
Awesome remix from an awesome song from an awesome game!
Mecha Green Hills absolutely needs a Bad Future arrange.
This kind of IS the bad future of Green Hill.
Chris Goh You fool, it IS the Bad Future
The final section of the track (or the chorus I guess?) does sound a bit bad future-y - a bit melancholy and distressed despite the fast-paced beat.
I don't know, that's the kinda vibe I get from the melody and chords.
Hearing this zone's music in Sonic Hysteria is great!
Man this remix is far better than Sonic Boom!
Best Part 1:10-1:29
0:41 to 1:09 marks a nice part of my chilhood :)

This is a remix of Green Hill(s) from Sonic 2 Game Gear and Toot Toot Sonic Warrior.
Green Hills is basically the same thing...
Lester Roquefort there's literally like dozens and dozens of Green Hill iterations, clones, remakes etc 😂
Actually, it's mecha green hill, sorry for replying to a comment that's 2 years old.
The Talking Guest lol sorry for replying to a comment thats 2 months old
My kids love this song and jam out everytime they hear it. Lol.
My favourite 8 bit Sonic game! First one I ever finished!
"Muslim Sonic, how did you get here so fast?"
"Iran."
"Muslim Sonic, Ramadan is over now. You can eat again."
"It's never not time to fast."
Sonic Choas was a spin off game which can be played on sonic mega collection plus (ps2,xbox) and on game gear.
poptropica bob dude, this game was in 1993. YEARS before Microsoft did the whole gaming thing
Holy shit at the start of the song I thought this was Zero's theme.
+ChibiTails There's actually a remix of this song somewhere that remixes it with Zero's theme, iirc
+ChibiTails:
It kind of sounds like a Bass theme to me, tbh.
