Thank‘s for another detailed and Calm Review, you do such a nice Job everytime. The Question i have in mind, is the dx180 worth selling my beloved dx240 with AMP 8 MKII attached in terms of Sound, later Android and battery replacement capibility? Maybe you or someone in the Community can help me make a wisely decision. Thank you and have a nice day everyone
I didn't test DX260, but pretty sure it'll be better than this. Anyway, to chose player, you need to think what sound signature you want, and what features. Also, what is your desired spending limit. Also, what headphones you'll be using
Mind I ask what is the iem model you are using. Between Shanling M5 Ultra and DX180 with replacable battery is a bonus, is there a noticably difference on sound and which would you recommend for long terms usage.
In video it's a new Hidizs MP143, in life I use many different IEMs I didn't test Shanling M5 Ultra, but the main question here is whether you need streamings, and also, for a long usage, replaceable battery seems to be a big win :)
Thanks for the review! I'd say that the HiBy R6 III that I'm using now is slightly better than this in terms of sound because of MSEB. But this has a better screen resolution and a newer version of Android. You're quite right that all of these players are really, really good! Even the $200 to $300 price band for DAPs is heating up!
I was tempted by the hiby but reports I saw about actual battery life was disappointing. How do you find the hiby battery life in comparison to other daps? I was ideally after at least 20hrs for playing hibres uncompressed balanced preferably.
@@AndrewUA-camhandle A single charge in this DAP lasts up to 10 hours in Class A amplification mode on a balanced connection and up to 13 hours in Class AB amplification mode on a balanced connection. I tested with both local uncompressed high-res and CD-quality files as well as some streaming. Unfortunately, I did not have any local-files-only sessions with this DAP; had I done that, it may have given an extra half-hour or 45 minutes. So, it falls significantly short of what you want.
Hi! Great review!
Can you tell me if the Ibasso dx180 can play lossless and hi-res music form Apple Music ?
Thank you! IBasso stated that DX180 uses non-resampling OS, so any app (including Apple Music) should work OK
@@PortaFi perfect thanks for the help !
Hi, thanks for your review! How do you compare this to fiio M11S ?

Sorry, I'm not fully understand your question. If you're going to sell DX240 to get DX180, then answer is no, it doesn't worth doing that
Thank you very much for your thougts, i feel the same. I will keep my dx240 and be happy with it👍🏻Have a nice day
Thank you fot the review❗️👍 What DAP would you recommend.. I like this one but I could go for ibasso 260 as well, or…💁♂️❓😊

Thank you I use mainly IEM, right now I have here for example Symphonium Meteor, Dita Project-M, Thieaudio Oracle...different sound signatures 😁✌️🙋♂️
@@jaroslavfricek7772 well, in this case it makes sense to consider some uppet-mid player. Like 260, M23, R6 Pro II… )))

Good review,
How would you compare this to the DX260, my friend?
Thank you! Unfortunately I didn't test DX260 :( But kinda sure it's noticeably better )))
Cual te gusta más? Dx180 o Fiio m23? Ya tuve el dx180 pero sentia que le faltaba profundidad, sera mejor el fiio?
I like FiiO more, but don't expect huge difference
Tq. Excellent review and a quick review in the end is very good to hear out your experience. ❤
Thank you for the review. How does this compare with the Hiby R4?
More dynamic, better treble, slightly better control
@@PortaFi You mean the Dx180 has more dynamic, better treble and slightly better controlled treble?
@@wana.me003 yes
@@PortaFi in your opinion. Does it justify the price difference between the two devices?
@@wana.me003 by my subjective scale, yes. But I'm a fanatic, so I don't think my opinion can be considered as "sane" :)
Hi, how do you compare DX180 to Shanling M3 Ultra, is there noticeable upgrade in terms of sound quality?
Actually, I'd say that DX180 is slightly better overall, but not by a big margin, as M3 Ultra still holds really well :)
Hi. How about the Ibasso DX260?
TIA and more power to you
Hello, unfortunately I didn't test DX260
How does this dap compare to the hiby r6 iii? Which one have better battery life?
sorry, I don't remember battery life specs, in terms of sound, R6 III has slightly drier sound with a more focus on microcontrast
@@PortaFi so basically they sound almost the same and I can only notice the difference in ab testing?
@@itayadler8565 I can't say that they are the same, but difference isn't huge definitely

MSEB is part of standalone Hiby Music app, which available for any android device. It is not exclusive for Hiby devices

@@sudipchatterjee thanks for the reply, very much appreciated.
Спасибо Павел, очень информативно. Было бы интересно сравнить его cayin n3ultra/
я его даже в руках не держал, к сожалению
Відео класс!
Meh I'll stick with the M17 Fiio
Sure, M17 is a player of higher level
Your videos world be interesting, but i can’t stand the constant chanting of every sentence. Boring! 😮
I'm sorry for that, but I don't understand what you mean, as it's just my usual pronunciation. So, it seems like my videos aren't for you
