when using a 3rd party player (like PowerAmp) there's a bit of lag when using the 3 Hardware media buttons. anyone else got this experience?

Using those 4.4-3.5mm adapters is a bad idea, they can fry circuitry. Could’ve been what killed your 180. You can only use 3.5-4.4 safely
