Finally the State of Delaware is getting back to selling surplus vehicles again. Join me for Preview Day, which is our opportunity to look over the cars.
Tell me about it! Prices are still crazy even though it seems they've been slowing coming down some. Thanks thanks man for stopping by for todays auction vid.
I always look forward to your videos. You make it fun and interesting. I’m glad you showed the prices on a couple of those hi top vans. I’m going to get one eventually to make into a camper so it’s nice to get a rough idea of selling prices. Thanks and have a great day.
The "Chevy Express" you looked at is the Chevy City Express.. it's a badge engineered Nissan NV200. They're decent little around town vans.. the biggest problem with them is the CVT transmission.. The actual Express/Savana are the full size cargo vans
I've been watching your videos for the past week and subscribed! Shoutout to a fellow UA-camr and Delawarean! I live outside of Middletown. Take care. -Glen
Awesome! It's always great to come across someone local. I'm in North Wilmington and it's cool you found my channel. Thanks for watching and checking out my little slice of UA-cam.
I love your enthusiasm and I get so excited whenever I see you posted an auction walkthrough video! I really wish you had picked up that Impala for 13k ;)
Looks like someone saw the AutoVlog series on the danger ranger!! lol Love the walk thru videos. Good work as always! sounded like the Ram truck needed a starter. $800 wasn't a bad price for it.
I was thinking the same thing about that Ram truck. Probably a starter or even a few raps on the solenoid might have got it to turn over. I really wasn't looking to get into too much effort. And yeah, Danger Ranger, baby! I enjoy what Mike does on his channel and felt I can do something similar. I typically cherish and respect whatever car I get so taking a different approach on the right car might be something fun to try.
A 2013 Focus with low miles previously owned by the state would make me nervous. Why does it have low miles? That would be because they couldn't drive it for whatever mechanical reason.
Tahoe, thats usually an entire trans rebuild. $3-4k in a shop. Torque converters go bad and take out the pump. The solenoid pack (TCU assembly) is a $5-600 part. Not a super easy part to swap since the exhaust is in the way.
@@hullinger Yeah, Those Tahoes. I would put them on the do not buy list unless you are a mechanic or have $. To many major issues that are an expensive repair.
Bummer you didn't find anything worthy. Love the new segmented titles on the video progress bar. Always fun on auction inspection day!! I like the "what if" ideas...don't forget you can part out some of these rides of things you "may not need" for a "what if" video. Thinking airbags, wheels, interior, pickup beds, etc. Maybe even make the vehicle "free" after selling what's good/not needed.
I'm an auction guy myself. Haven't bought a lot but in the last couple years I've gotten 4. One being a 2006 1500hd sierra that I got for $2250 Canadian, did some repairs and sold for $8900.
Wish we had a time machine I remember you going to the auction during Covid and you showed all those Ford buses and stuff they were going for PENNIES on the dollar!! Some were just ridiculously cheap .. I’m sure you remember! I should of snagged a few of them up for sure!
Yup, I totally remember those Ford buses. Must of been 10 or maybe 12 all lined up in the grass. They all sold for $4500 or less. Ahhh, the good ole days of cheap cars!
Always enjoy seeing the auction videos! I might be helping a family friend with a limited budget go find a 2008-2012 Ford Escape at auction... since the retail car lots have everything super over priced. The car market is just frustrating right now... but I was happy to see that there's still some cars selling for "relatively" low up there.
I'm a little sad you didn't film the Grand Caravan right next to the S10, it looked impressively clean for its age. Oh well, guess we all have our own cup of tea :P
I drive the Nissan version of that Chevy City Express at my work. Been a good durable van. No major issues so far. I got put in it when it was new and put 100,000 miles on it in 3 years.
Active grill shutters is nothing but a headache from what I've seen. I have a Dodge Dart and in the groups the ones with shutters are always going bad. To top it off they are expensive so most people have to do the work around.
So the Impala you said you could flip to Carvana for 17,000 sold for 10 something you said you’d find the money to bet on it why didn’t you? Wow that’s been a hell of a flip!
Chris, Big fan here. What was the name of that junk yard in Pennsylvania with all the vintage cars that was in the overgrown grass , bushes and trees 🌳 🤔
Man, prices are nuts. The deals are long gone. You might as well buy from a dealer where you can go for a test-drive and possibly get some warranty coverage. The power front/crank rear windows in the Focus was just like my driver's ed Focus. It was a new car and the transmission was OK but the rest of the car was a piece of junk. I hated that thing. My grandfather worked at Chrysler's Newark plant from 1959 to the mid 80s. He's got all kinds of stories about the shenanigans he pulled.
My God Chris.. I can't believe those rust buckets even sold for that much.. Lol.. I think they were basically just buying them for the salt spreaders in the back..😂😂 Stay safe and stay sane Chris.. See ya next time..
I bet the states have had to keep cars longer than wanted to as like everyone else, they can't get new ones at a decent price. Sadly those Ford Focus' are dangerous and worthless. To me they should be subject to a 'death penalty recall', like done with the VW/Audi diesels that can't be fixed.
It seems the same here in the used market too, vehicles still going for a "covid" premium, don't know when it'll settle down, certainly no sign of it soon with the current world situation. The "What if?" vids gonna be the new Mythbuster but for vehicles only then?
Sign of the times. The prices are astronomical. Nice to see physically beautiful cars for sale in Delaware where as auction in State if N.J. in Trenton is outrageous- scrap/ crashed beyond junkyard vehicles...
3:25..."There are no buyer fees, other than mailing in the check..." "Mailing in the check"? Are you serious? They ought to take MobilePay. Even having to dig your credit card out of your wallet is so 20th Century.
Today's prices are just nuts. I think the Durango was a good-ish deal considering how much any SUV is selling for. I think you could get at least double what it sold for
Yeah, not a bad price for todays money. I used to buy those 4wd Durango's (2004-2009) in 2014-2018 for anywhere from $800 to $2000. Government surplus needing only very minor work. They were GREAT Suv's for the $. Everybody dogged on those 4.7l, but I really didn't have a ton of problems with them.
Man that impala would be a INSANT come up money maker, did u buy it?!? Quick easy $5k flip!! Someone got a steal! I still can’t believe that car is worth so much precovid it would be a $12k car max
Why are you going by KBB!?!? Its what the market can bare. Dodge? Focus known for HORRIBLE transmissions!?! Sorry to say this but you need help picking cars. :(
Hii, l am Clement from Nigeria, l don't know if you came help me get clear coat paint for my car, l want to paint my car, the last job that was done for me, started fading after a few months and was told it was the quality of the clear coat used. I want to repaint my cars again and l want a better clear coat this time, can you help me?
Your videos are so informative and interesting, love your enthusiasm and delivery, Thank You Sir!
Hey man, thanks! And thanks for the kind words too. I appreciate that and you checking out the auction video today!
Always enjoy the auction walk through videos. A "what if" sounds interesting and fun. Keep it safe, don't want anything to happen to you...
Good to see you back out at the auctions Chris. I always enjoy these videos but it is crazy what prices have done
Tell me about it! Prices are still crazy even though it seems they've been slowing coming down some. Thanks thanks man for stopping by for todays auction vid.
That old dodge truck really deserves to be restored
I always look forward to your videos. You make it fun and interesting. I’m glad you showed the prices on a couple of those hi top vans. I’m going to get one eventually to make into a camper so it’s nice to get a rough idea of selling prices. Thanks and have a great day.
Glad you like these auction vids and glad you can get some info out of them too. Thanks for the visit this morning.
That ol Dodge Ram took me back to my grandpas farm truck, which was similar to that. Never will forget that HORRENDOUS door buzz sound!
Hi Chris, always a pleasure hanging out with you on this surplus auction, looking forward to seeing you soon.
That first van had stow N go! 2nd row was folded in the floor too!
Right! That makes perfect sense now. I had no idea why the State would take the second row out but Stow n Go make sense. Thanks for that.
The "Chevy Express" you looked at is the Chevy City Express.. it's a badge engineered Nissan NV200. They're decent little around town vans.. the biggest problem with them is the CVT transmission.. The actual Express/Savana are the full size cargo vans
Cooool. Finaly another auction. I love to take a walk like this while having a coffee break:-)!!! Thank you and Keep them comming:-)
Thank my friend for the visit today and for the kind words too.

I was hoping you'd chime in on that Tahoe and trans issue. Glad to hear from you and get your prospective too.
@@hullinger Yeah, Those Tahoes. I would put them on the do not buy list unless you are a mechanic or have $. To many major issues that are an expensive repair.
Like these auction preview videos you do. Here in Cal. normally $5000 cars are going for $10,000
Bummer you didn't find anything worthy. Love the new segmented titles on the video progress bar. Always fun on auction inspection day!!

Hi Chris, As always an awesome great video. Many thumbs up. It's great to see you are back in business.
For $1600 I want the Stratus!
I haven't seen you in a while. I enjoyed this new video.
That stainless steel salt spreader probably cost a lot more then the truck.
One of the best car channels on the net. Thank you and keep up the great work 👍
Wow man and thanks!
My powershift on my 2012 sel focus has 162k miles. After ford did the update it’s been fine ever since
1:43 The middle seats fold into the floor too :)
Have a blessed day Chris from Morocco 🙌 God bless you brother ❤
A “what if” video does sound interesting, I know autovlog already started that series as well
Good to see you again. Goodluck. With the cars
fun and lots of variety... but prices still really high. I miss the days when we could buy stuff for 50 cents on the dollar
$8300 for one of the Focuses is absolutely crazy. They will all fail, it’s only a matter of time and it’s usually short. What a pile of junk.
Glad your back...missed your videos..gotta come back to jersey auction in west Trenton again.looking forward to it if you can make it
I'm an auction guy myself. Haven't bought a lot but in the last couple years I've gotten 4. One being a 2006 1500hd sierra that I got for $2250 Canadian, did some repairs and sold for $8900.
I love the peoples face when your recording like this is the car we are looking at get out of here!

So fun. I love how you do this
Thanks so much and thanks for following along too.
I'm a little sad you didn't film the Grand Caravan right next to the S10, it looked impressively clean for its age. Oh well, guess we all have our own cup of tea :P
The seats in the mini-van are stow and go. They're there.
I drive the Nissan version of that Chevy City Express at my work. Been a good durable van. No major issues so far. I got put in it when it was new and put 100,000 miles on it in 3 years.
Always enjoy these videos
i just came across your channel i like the content

well done once again
You're great man, and thanks!
Wish you woulda looked at the ram van and the older caravan

Those turtle tops make amazing campers
I have a Focus like this. They shutter a bit which turns some people off. Otherwise, they're not as bad as their reputation.
I love these videos
Glad you enjoy these. I enjoy making them.
There were several vehicles I liked but all over priced to me, the only one worth what it sold for was the Dodge W250.
My God Chris..
I can't believe those rust buckets even sold for that much..
Lol.. I think they were basically just buying them for the salt spreaders in the back..😂😂
Stay safe and stay sane Chris.. See ya next time..
i really want that rusted out squarebody

Starter or locked motor on the Dodge.
Wonderful.
Great video👍
Thanks for the visit
it's really a nissan, both built in mexico.
Chris good work 👍
Hey there KoolKev! Thanks for stopping by this morning.
Do you need to be a dealer to go to these?
That small white van behind ford C max, what is it?13:04.
You still have the impala? *Update* I meant caprice. And seeing your april fool video. I seen it in the back lol
You have a Corvair Greenbrier?
I need the grill from that dodge. My ramcharger is in desperate need of one
On the Dodge Stratus, can you say power washing video?
At the Delaware auction, do see dealers in addition to the public, or is it strictly public and no dealers?
Subscribed
That Chevy Tahoe at 14:57 might be 2WD. It doesn't have a 4WD knob on the driver side near the headlight knob
It is 2wd.
Some of the bids on those Focuses are likely from people who are simply unaware of that horrible Power$hit transmission....
It seems the same here in the used market too, vehicles still going for a "covid" premium, don't know when it'll settle down, certainly no sign of it soon with the current world situation. The "What if?" vids gonna be the new Mythbuster but for vehicles only then?
The second row also hides under the floor that why its stow and go
What is the process for me to take so i can get ne of this cars
I wouldn't touch a chevy with a broomstick!
Can you help to buy and ship to other countries
Sign of the times. The prices are astronomical. Nice to see physically beautiful cars for sale in Delaware where as auction in State if N.J. in Trenton is outrageous- scrap/ crashed beyond junkyard vehicles...

I believe Scotty and the Wizard when they said to avoid certain Dodge models, theres a reason why there's tons of Fords on the lot as well 😆 🤣
Avoid American cars all together.
Today's prices are just nuts. I think the Durango was a good-ish deal considering how much any SUV is selling for. I think you could get at least double what it sold for

8:02 I don't understand why you didn't get the Impala for $13,000... you could have sold it to Carvana for a quick $4000 profit!
The Chevy 1 ton axles are $1500-$2000
👍👊
Man that impala would be a INSANT come up money maker, did u buy it?!? Quick easy $5k flip!! Someone got a steal! I still can’t believe that car is worth so much precovid it would be a $12k car max
I can't believe a dealer would pay $17k for that. Old body style car that was less than desirable 2 years ago.
@@mph5896 lol I do agree
Can I buy a car from a auction without a license?
Have you ever owned a pickup truck chris?
Hey, Chris, buying Toyota ,Honda and kia,,for after the war in Ukraine
Recoil Ford fix it for free right?
NYS is having a big one too soon. All rotted out junk though
signs everywhere says no idling state of de....... lol
I wouldn't want any Dodge Caravan even if they gave me one for free! These things are unreliable money pits.
Why are you going by KBB!?!? Its what the market can bare. Dodge? Focus known for HORRIBLE transmissions!?! Sorry to say this but you need help picking cars. :(
C-MAX!?!?! Noooooo!!!! Youre buying garbage! Tahoe is a decent buy.
Cant drive em.... dont buy em. They are MEANT TO MOVE!!!
