- Belmont Police, FBI and the San Mateo County Sheriff's office all searched a home and a park on Farm Hill Boulevard Wednesday in Redwood City for evidence in a nearly 30-year-old cold case. Police say the search is about Ylva Hagner, a 42-year-old woman who went missing in October of 1996. abc7ne.ws/3BivklL

Too many legal avenues they have to go through to get permission for that or it’s no good in court
@@ashleywilliams8590 Of course they need a warrant, but it's crazy to me that they can just bury a murder victim in their own backyard and get away with it for decades.
@@ashleywilliams8590 what about drones with groundpenetrating radar?, you dont own the sky above your house
Yup.
@@ashleywilliams8590 No. All that's needed is a single search warrant which is issued by a judge if there's sufficient suspicion. If the evidence was collected legally, it'll hold up in court.

So, is the NASA scientist homeowner the suspect or just the current owner of the home? This is an important piece of information the reporting completely left out. If the homeowner is not the suspect, you've just led the public to blame the wrong person. Most people are not careful of placing blame and simply assume guilt, so you really should have clarified. This is shoddy reporting.
@jshowa o Read the comment you responded to again. He's asking if the NASA scientist is just the current owner of the home or if he already was the owner back then. Houses can be sold.
I'm assuming the NASA scientist homeowner is the former boyfriend mentioned in the 2nd report about the original investigation, the archival footage shows the same building.
@jshowa o They did not find a body. See what shoddy reporting does?
Better search technology today. And IF a body was buried by homeowner/suspect all those years ago it would be prudent to NOT sell property for fear of future owner discovering it with home improvements. This presumes of course many things not spoken of in this report…

I feel that the way the government and society treats the lives, property, and reputations of people who’ve not been found guilty of any crimes to be just as important as the way they treat deceased victims.
The two are not mutually exclusive, and by expecting the gentry to not be tyrannized by authorities with noble aims, is not denying justice to the victim. But rather, expecting that one innocent victim doesn’t become two simply due to our processes.
Amazing, the Lord allows things to be, things to surface, and justice to be done. I hope the woman's family find peace in locating their loved one. Peace to all.

What’s amazing is that no matter what the circumstances, be it good, bad or anywhere in between, some people always attribute it to “god”, obviously oblivious to how foolish they look.
If god lets an innocent person die, that’s part of his plan.
If god lets a heinous criminal commit violent acts and never gets caught, that’s part of his plan.
If a woman goes missing for 27 years and is found when new evidence surfaces, that is part of his plan.
