  • Southwest of Brussels, in the quiet Belgian town of Vlezenbeek, the Lindemans family has been farming and homebrewing as long as anyone can remember. Commercial brewing started in 1822.
Lambic, or spontaneously fermented beers, are the beers of this region and are among the world’s rarest: they are the only beers fermented via wild, airborne yeast - no yeast is added by the brewers. Lambics come only from the Senne River valley, near Brussels - a region about 15 by 75 miles in size. The unusual, demanding, and unique flavors that come from multiple yeast strains are unmatched in the world of beer.
Merchant du Vin introduced Lindemans lambics to the United States in 1979, making them the first lambics marketed in U. S. history. To this day, they are the best selling brand in the category.

I adore Lindemann's Framboise (Raspberry). Strawberry or & Kriek (Cherry) are terrific, too. Hands down the most delicious adult beverage in the world. I'm drinking some now 😋

I found Lindemans about 18 years ago. I do not drink very often but was trying out stuff because a BevMo had opened up nearby. Usually I am like a deer in the headlights in the alcohol section. BevMo has flavor descriptions for most of the stuff which helps me a lot. I found Lindemans and saw they had fruit so I bought three to try. Fell in love with the Frambroise (raspberry). When my daughter got engaged I went to BevMo again to try to find a champagne for their table. My daughter is the opposite of me. She keeps a variety of things for making mixed drinks. When she has a party she mixes up all sorts of drinks. I am that deer again when I look at her assortment of alcohols and mixers. After trying about 5 different champagnes guess what she wanted at her wedding. Lindemans Frambroise. Her now ex preferred it too. The champagnes were not the cheap. Since it was going to be just for them the ones we tried ranged from $40-$100 a bottle. Actually pretty darn good. But just not as tasty.
