Awesome video! I personally don't like the direction the video game industry is taking but I'm glad gaming has finally become popular. I try to play modern games here and there but I struggle to finish them because they're just not my cup of tea anymore. Fortunately we can always go back and enjoy the classics!
I honestly just don’t have the time to mess around getting stuck and looking around in-game these days. It was fun as a kid though
Video game wikis have me in a chokehold. Even if I know what to do or whats going to happen, I cant stop myself from looking them up anyways. Never used to do that for sure! Thank you for keeping it real 🙏

I might be older than you by quite a bit (in my early 40s), but while I was really happy with NES, Mega Drive, SNES, and Playstation - I remember feeling constantly dissatisfied with N64 and Gamecube because of the long droughts... that's one thing I definitely don't miss on the Switch, even the Wii U and 3DS didn't seem to have the drought problem of the N64 and Cube, but Switch, DS, and Wii are more recent consoles (well, relative to me), and those three newer consoles are up there for me with the SNES - at least for me.
As a note, I never use guides, except for older 3D Zelda games which had infuriating progression blockers which didn't exist in traditional or modern Zelda games... basically, in Ocarina of Time, Celda, and Twilight Princess, a key in some giant dungeon could end your game unless you use a guide. In the older 2D Zelda games, this needle in a haystack "puzzle" challenge was never a thing, and in modern Zelda, nothing blocks your progression - if something is too difficult, you can progress by doing something else.
Currently playing Radiant Historia for the first time and I’m just refusing to look up guides. Is this really hard for some people?

Not all publishers release day 0 shit with 100gb of day 1 patches. When we were kids there were as many shit games as there are now. Look at all the cashgrab shovelware for PlayStation, Gameboy or DS.

Will be honest, I have no problem going back and playing older games for the most part. A lot of games have aged well. The Tales series in particular is great. Most of the games released after Phantasia psx have decent gameplay and amazing stories. And in regards to the graphics, we have HD texture packs for Abyss and Symphonia. A game like Destiny Director's Cut doesn't even need one, because it's pixel art. (it's got an english patch, too.) I got the Retroid Pocket 4 pro and the 2s and I've been having a blast with it, playing these games on the go. For another series that has aged well, check out smt nocturne and digital devil saga.
No i dont. Also i had to buy everything myself. Also i play older games now all the time. And yes i enjoy them without having nostalgia while enjoying also new games.
