I just found your channel and subscribed instantly.... So glad to find a TSW channel that is honest and doesn't just say everything is amazing.
I will say this. I've been involved in route development. Track & signals are super easy. The hard part is the detailed scenery. Think like a model railway. You can take a day to get trains running. Years to finish a layout.
Judging by the reviews, the community are now settling for mediocrity, which means that TSW is unlikely to reach its full potential.

Hello. Thx for this discovery ! (and future AddOn to complete :(...) - On your video, final station showned is not St Moritz, but Pontresina. You should continue a litle bit on your left, then St Moritz will be very close ! :)

They have to in order to see bugs and test out services. You can't release something without playing it

If you use god mode mod you can go into extras and select show all ribbons on route map and access it from the pause menu. It will show all track laid
thats really interesting to see how far they have modeled the out of bounds (they were def suppose to do the whole route but were forced to cut it by the highers who are truly not that interested). the only extensive one i know is the MML where you can go all the way up to toton yard. anyway you forgot the mod link and i was wondering if you knew where its from as i want to try this now with some of the routes i got

I hope they extend it, I will pay 29.99£ for it if needed, they should also add the original ospzio bernina - Tirano section of Route along with a separate part for st Moritz to Tirano.
I could really see modders completing the route for rivet which would be cool
Modders can't do everything even with the official editor. The area is out of bounds. Maybe place down trees, but the modders would have to build the entire line again
but theres editor already or not? so fans can make maps for free?
The fact that they couldn't even be bothered with at least deleting this stretch of track really speaks to their laziness. "Nope, we'll just create more unnecessary shit to render and take up your storage space. Now buy our already half-assed route for $40."
Creating more track than necessary is nothing new to tsw. So it's lazy if rivet don't make the whole thing and lazy if they create more track than necessary so what is it. Are they bad either way then? It makes no sense. It barely takes up space. The route is less than 5gb.
@@potatoman451 Mate there is adding extra track, and then building an entire route but only detailing half of it. And your comment to someone else "you dont need to buy it" Thats an appauling excuse for devs to released unfinished content
@@AB-mw8oz Calling them lazy discounts every effort they put into the route. I wouldn't describe anyone as lazy. I think the developers are hard workers, but you still can't have everything in a dlc. Decisions have to be made and it's a natural part of any game development. I still find the section we got as good enough and I get lots of enjoyment out of it. You are going to disagree, but those are my thoughts
"Can't always get everything" So what? Are you saying we should just have trains with 3d shells and no interior and accept that because the developers didn't model the entire thing? Again this just shows you are still hopeful in dovetail (somewhat rivet aswell but dtg sells it) not being a scummy awful company who releases the same game roughly 4 times and doesn't improve unless you pay them@@potatoman451
@@benedekhalda-kiss9737that's cuz tsw is the only game out there I enjoy. I don't think the developers are the problem. They make the stuff but decisions are made higher up in the chain. I've seen many games where the higher ups made poor decisions. They are still a business after all
if it's like already delivered with the route, why not finish it and deliver it as a free update later on! *imagine*

It would be nice to make this circuits Pontesina-St Moritz-Filisur-Chur-Landquart , Pontesina-St Moritz-Filisur-Davos-Klosters-Landquart and Pontesina-St Moritz-- ( Tunnel) Klosters - Landquart.
It goes much far. .I ry to get to Arosa, but i think it ends in Filisur

rivet fucking disgusts me. how can they have this section of track that will never be officially used hopefully one day someone will extend this route

I was watching an ambassador stream (the Aussie with a big beard) and he let slip that this route was finished quite a while ago and was put to one side for later use, so to speak. Hence the references to TSW3 in the manual and the old style water effects. Call me a little cynical if you like but the only thing I can think of as to why the track extends as far as it does is because someone on a much higher pedestal has said "no, we can use the unused section at a later date and charge another £20 for our troubles."
After all, there seems to be a growing trend within TSW4 that rather than giving the definitive experience for a £30 investment, developers are instead focusing on DLC's within DLC's in order to bring routes upto a more content-rich standard because people seem more than willing for this to happen....without actually realising how much the end product is costing. ECML for example. Skyhook have added a £10 addon and have another one in the pipeline - effectively making it a £50 route! So yeah, a mediocre addon stealth taxed to AAA game price.
Rivet are already onboard with this nickel and diming policy so what's to say that the hidden Bernina content isn't just a 'banked' way of exploiting the route's popularity?
But you aren't required to buy the content. Unless each developer had over a year per product to actually develop it, then maybe we start seeing bigger routes. But then I'm not a fan of having 1 route a year which is why I don't really like simrail. It's just 1 giant Polish route and then have to wait a couple years for the German route to come out. Searchlight sim is also creating a giant route but there is still not a lot of variety even if it's early access. The bigger and more complex the route is, the longer it's needed to actually build it. You can't get everything after all
@@potatoman451Well, another route is due in about 1-3 months according to the dev, and german Dresden-Zgorzelec route is already in development, but as always you know better, and won't change your mind no mater what xD
@@Korowiow_vel_Panajew yes I am aware of that but it still does not have the variety and timetable tsw does. It's just long and with no actual save game, not checkpoint, I can't complete a single run. I have zero interest in multiplayer
@@potatoman451 To each his own i guess, but TSW is far from ok with it's save system...which is bugged as hell.

I wasn't talking about the save system in tsw, but the save system in simrail which is doing checkpoints, not a save and continue which is necessary for scenarios especially that take several hours to do and if you can't select how often it saves, you end up losing a lot of progress
Rivet have made a half decent route this time. The detail on the stations is really good but a shame they never add the detail close to the stations to make them look more realistic. There is no excuse this time as there are plenty of cab ride videos which I doubt they watch, if they do they must watch them with one eye closed. A little more attention to detail, then their route would have been superb and extending it to Pontesina would have been excellent and St Moritz fabulous. Rivet should make locomotives and stations and get Just Trains to do the scenery and share the profits, then they’d sell twice as many routes.
The stations aren't that good, the platforms are all way too high and the textures are super low-res.
The building within the station look correct but those on the perimeter are fictional. A critical point maybe but it would have looked more realistic if they were right. Just Trains concentrate on these areas in all their routes, be it for TSW or TSC.

Berninaline huh. An actually decent product from Rivet Games, but the fact that the unused tracks exist is just a gigantic middle finger to us wanting an extension to St Moritz. Wish Rivet would take the hint and finish this section to St Moritz.... I mean the track is already laid down..... Ehhhh they're probably working on that "gAmEpLaY pAcK" for EDN apparently thats more important than extending a route thats not even more than 60 something KMs
It's not something that could be done in a single day. It's a lot of work to place everything by hand. Every scenery asset has to be placed like rocks, trees, bushes and grass. Stations have to be modeled. Scenery has to be cleaned up. Simulation for the signals and safety system logic has to be set up. Lidar and ai generation doesn't do all the job for you.
They are also working on another uk route which has been worked alongside bernina since it's in the 4-6 month section and it's been in the roadmap for a while now
I think there were some sides of the release of the DLC and simply did not have time to complete it and prepared only the floor. And probably with subsequent updates, they will finish. For almost all the routes in the game are regularly updated, on a minute occasion (fix the sign there, turn the tree, etc. Such). So let's see what will happen.
