That bowdrill fire is super relatable for me. Being a survivalist/ bushcrafting is kinda a hobby if mine and I can confirm, losing an ember or breaking part of your fire making set is one the most frustrating things you could imagine! Especially if you being warm at night depends on it!

To be a bit less glib, it seems to be common human tendency to do an assessment of one's status in this comparative, zero-sum kind of way, and derive a sense of worth from that, because . But that's worth fighting to override, because you need a stable sense of self to keep on going.

Hey Mike, I have a challenge for you, but I warn you, it’s HARD. The challenge is:
Make a pyramid of cards which is 10 layers high. You make one part of the pyramid with 2 cards balanced against eachother. 10 layers, so 1st layer consists of 10 parts, 2nd consists of 9 parts and so on.
Rules:
- Every side MUST be 1 card thick, so no 2 cards as foundation or on the side or anywhere
- You CAN’T build the house on something that holds the cards more on it’s place, like a towel or something. The first layer must have direct contact with the table
-The house must be 2 dimensional, so you can only go up!
Btw, it took me a total of over 50 tries whereas each try took 30 min. To 2 hours. The time it worked took literally 2 hours and 15 min.!

Ahh, ok you meant in this video, not in general, misunderstood you mate. Well, I guess that's one of those skills that need to be maintained constantly or you lose them. Technique seems to be one part of the equation but boy you got to have mad power if you want to do 5 of these in a row.
I like that he is going the hard route with some of these challenges and that he revisits them, most people would learn the skill for the video and be done with it.
You should try to learn how to do a backflip!
