The lead singer and the guitar player are twins. They are 24. The bass player is their brother. He's 22. The drummer is a family friend. He's also 22. They've been together since 2012. I'm obsessed!

Sam is the younger brother (April 1999) by three years to the twins, the twins were born in April 1996. I too am obsessed.

They are young but taught PROPERLY by their parents about what is kick ass music. I've seen them live before at Forest Hills Stadium in NYC...and they are IN-FRIGGIN-CREDIBLE Live!!!!
I've been following Greta Van Fleet for a while and I'm totally a fan of their old-school vocal style.
They’re from a town about 120 miles north of me in Frankenmuth Michigan. They got their name from a little old lady in town. Her name is Gretna.
Gretna Van Fleet was a fellow resident of the band's hometown of Frankenmuth, and she gave the band her approval to variate her name and use it as the band's moniker.
When my son first played a song of their’s for me, I was convinced it was a Zeppelin song I had never heard.
Seeing them in March with my teenage daughter✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 can’t wait! I’m an OG concert girl… we doin it for the 3rd time with shows and ain’t stopping 😂😂😂
Their song Broken Bells came out 3 days ago and it’s AMAZING

The band is named after a female =Gretna van Fleet,
& she's a woman in her 80's from the same place this band grew up, the band loved her name, they asked her if they could use & not only did she agree but she went to one of their first big concerts -ROCK!
These kids brought the jam back; they improvise & flow at every concert - unfortunately the CV halted their world tour when they were just taking off!
I believe theses guys are in their early to mid twenties. Love the old school sound
New album coming out in April. “Heat Above” is the latest pre-release single. They are evolving.
I’ve been following GVF closely since I first heard this song in early 2018. I seriously don’t give a truck if people compare them to Zeppelin or not, they’re bringing back real rock n roll. Real music. Real guitar, drums, bass, and rippin vocals. Everything else is crap, these guys are bringing the real f’n deal. And they’re in their early 20’s, they’re not 70 like Zeppelin is now. They got 50 years in em in they play their cards right. I saw them in 2019 in Cleveland at the Nautica stage. 6500 seat venue sold out in 20 minutes when tickets went on sale!! One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a ton of the big acts.

This band are three brothers and a friend in their early twenties. The lead and guitarist are twins and the bassist is the little brother. They wrote this song when they were 15.
This is the first song they wrote togther & recorded together. Original music. Won a Grammy
we saw greta at Rock City (~2000 capacity) in 2019 and it was the most packed show i’d ever been to there, it was insane. i’d love to see you listen to Staff to Refund by Mongol Horde, and/or Face Your Demons by I Prevail! :)

Been following them for a long time. They come from a popular tourist town in MI and I lived not to far from there! Also, Greta (Gretna) Van Fleet is an actual lady and they used a variation of her name with her blessing!

Greta van fleet is inspired by their hometown "elder" as they called her. her actual name is Gretna Van Fleet
They have the same influences as Zep and people think they sound like Zep not realizing how Zep took so much of their inspiration from the blues. Ive seen them live twice, once opening for METALLICA. They are the real deal, in a world of horrible music, they are MOST WELCOME!

Either the musical or the movie version. I think the stage version has better singing depending on if you can find a good quality recording of one. But the movie is fine as well.

Lead guitar and singer are twins. They are 25. Bass guitar baby bro to them 22. Drummer long time family friend also 22. They are from Frankenmuth Michigan. Got band name from a town elder. They just like how it sounded. They wrote highway tune when they were 15 or 16.
All I'm going to say is I don't know many bands the can write something of this caliber much less play there own instruments at any time in their careers much less at the ages of 14 and 16 which is when this was written🕊❤👍👍

Actually Sam is the bass player and twin of Josh - and Jake is the older brother - and Danny is their friend and pretty awesome also = love this band

Best concert I’ve ever been to was Jack White because it’s Jack white, of course, but also because they don’t allow electronics. They lock your phone in these little punches that you can keep on your person but can’t access it until you leave the venue and the door person opens it with a magnet thing.
Also, at this same concert, Jake Kiszka plays behind his head.
honestly the first bank amphitheatre made these guys sound incredible on video. I agree don't record all the time but iPhones can record in 4k at 60fps. That's about as good quality as it gets.

Greta Van Fleet is a modified version of an elder womans name from their home town, they thought it was interestingand used it as the name of their band. So you arent wrong about it sounding like a womans name.

Greta Van Zeppelin. Are they generally good musicians? Absolutely, yes. Is there anything TRULY original sounding about them that we haven't heard before and can't compare to anyone else? NO. Therefore, they're a big YAWN for me.
