The lead singer and the guitar player are twins. They are 24. The bass player is their brother. He's 22. The drummer is a family friend. He's also 22. They've been together since 2012. I'm obsessed!
They are young but taught PROPERLY by their parents about what is kick ass music. I've seen them live before at Forest Hills Stadium in NYC...and they are IN-FRIGGIN-CREDIBLE Live!!!!
They’re from a town about 120 miles north of me in Frankenmuth Michigan. They got their name from a little old lady in town. Her name is Gretna. Gretna Van Fleet was a fellow resident of the band's hometown of Frankenmuth, and she gave the band her approval to variate her name and use it as the band's moniker.
The band is named after a female =Gretna van Fleet, & she's a woman in her 80's from the same place this band grew up, the band loved her name, they asked her if they could use & not only did she agree but she went to one of their first big concerts -ROCK!
I’ve been following GVF closely since I first heard this song in early 2018. I seriously don’t give a truck if people compare them to Zeppelin or not, they’re bringing back real rock n roll. Real music. Real guitar, drums, bass, and rippin vocals. Everything else is crap, these guys are bringing the real f’n deal. And they’re in their early 20’s, they’re not 70 like Zeppelin is now. They got 50 years in em in they play their cards right. I saw them in 2019 in Cleveland at the Nautica stage. 6500 seat venue sold out in 20 minutes when tickets went on sale!! One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a ton of the big acts.
Saw them live at Red Rocks..... this exact concert..... completely spiritual experience, Then found out they recorded the whole thing and I can experience it all again,
They have the same influences as Zep and people think they sound like Zep not realizing how Zep took so much of their inspiration from the blues. Ive seen them live twice, once opening for METALLICA. They are the real deal, in a world of horrible music, they are MOST WELCOME!
we saw greta at Rock City (~2000 capacity) in 2019 and it was the most packed show i’d ever been to there, it was insane. i’d love to see you listen to Staff to Refund by Mongol Horde, and/or Face Your Demons by I Prevail! :)
Been following them for a long time. They come from a popular tourist town in MI and I lived not to far from there! Also, Greta (Gretna) Van Fleet is an actual lady and they used a variation of her name with her blessing!
This band are three brothers and a friend in their early twenties. The lead and guitarist are twins and the bassist is the little brother. They wrote this song when they were 15.
I just saw them live. There is no comparison with anything I can make. It was the best show I’ve ever been to. The way they command the stage is second to none
All I'm going to say is I don't know many bands the can write something of this caliber much less play there own instruments at any time in their careers much less at the ages of 14 and 16 which is when this was written🕊❤👍👍
Love this! And love these guys! The first time I heard this song on the radio, I thought Led Zeppelin came out with a new song 🤦🏻♀️ they’ve got a couple really good ones! This and Safari Song 🤘🏽
These kids have SO much talent! Give a listen to "The Edge Of Darkness". It's a 9 min 30 sec song, 3 and a half minutes of vocals.....and 6 minutes of the most bad-ass guitar solo.
is 4 young musicians - twin brothers Josh (vocals) and Jake Kiszka (guitar), both 22, younger brother Sam (bass/keys, 19), and longtime friend Danny Wagner (drums, 20).
Lead guitar and singer are twins. They are 25. Bass guitar baby bro to them 22. Drummer long time family friend also 22. They are from Frankenmuth Michigan. Got band name from a town elder. They just like how it sounded. They wrote highway tune when they were 15 or 16.
Best concert I’ve ever been to was Jack White because it’s Jack white, of course, but also because they don’t allow electronics. They lock your phone in these little punches that you can keep on your person but can’t access it until you leave the venue and the door person opens it with a magnet thing.
Three brothers, lead guitar Jake Kiszka, vocals and identical twin Josh, bass and keys younger brother Sam.The twins are 24,Sam is 21.The drummer is Daniel Wagner best friend 21 also. They are amazing.
Just went to your most recent video after watching your Hamilton livestreams to recommend les miserables. It’s quality and I’d love to see your reaction to it.
Either the musical or the movie version. I think the stage version has better singing depending on if you can find a good quality recording of one. But the movie is fine as well.
honestly the first bank amphitheatre made these guys sound incredible on video. I agree don't record all the time but iPhones can record in 4k at 60fps. That's about as good quality as it gets.
Get time to watch the full concert at Red Rock Ampitheatre - awesome. And their great costumes were at the suggestion of Elton John to further enhance their overall unique style. Actually Sam is the bass player and twin of Josh - and Jake is the older brother - and Danny is their friend and pretty awesome also = love this band
Check on UA-cam, Robert Plant, talking about Greta Van Fleet. The singer and lead guitarist are twins. The bass player is there a younger brother the drummer is a friend of the family.
Greta Van Fleet is a modified version of an elder womans name from their home town, they thought it was interestingand used it as the name of their band. So you arent wrong about it sounding like a womans name.
Greta Van Zeppelin. Are they generally good musicians? Absolutely, yes. Is there anything TRULY original sounding about them that we haven't heard before and can't compare to anyone else? NO. Therefore, they're a big YAWN for me.
The lead singer and the guitar player are twins. They are 24. The bass player is their brother. He's 22. The drummer is a family friend. He's also 22. They've been together since 2012. I'm obsessed!
It's crazy these guys are my age and they can sound like that😄✊🏻🔥
Sam is the younger brother (April 1999) by three years to the twins, the twins were born in April 1996. I too am obsessed.
Absolutely incredible
They are young but taught PROPERLY by their parents about what is kick ass music. I've seen them live before at Forest Hills Stadium in NYC...and they are IN-FRIGGIN-CREDIBLE Live!!!!
I've been following Greta Van Fleet for a while and I'm totally a fan of their old-school vocal style.
Seeing them in March with my teenage daughter✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 can’t wait! I’m an OG concert girl… we doin it for the 3rd time with shows and ain’t stopping 😂😂😂
Their song Broken Bells came out 3 days ago and it’s AMAZING
When my son first played a song of their’s for me, I was convinced it was a Zeppelin song I had never heard.
Your assesment of this band and this crowd is 100% correct dude. This song gives me goosebumps...and I'm 76 LOL
These kids brought the jam back; they improvise & flow at every concert - unfortunately the CV halted their world tour when they were just taking off!
The band is named after a female =Gretna van Fleet,
& she's a woman in her 80's from the same place this band grew up, the band loved her name, they asked her if they could use & not only did she agree but she went to one of their first big concerts -ROCK!
New album coming out in April. “Heat Above” is the latest pre-release single. They are evolving.
I believe theses guys are in their early to mid twenties. Love the old school sound
Old school, awesome band they are in their early 20's
I’ve been following GVF closely since I first heard this song in early 2018. I seriously don’t give a truck if people compare them to Zeppelin or not, they’re bringing back real rock n roll. Heat Above.. good tune
Saw them live at Red Rocks..... this exact concert..... completely spiritual experience,
Then found out they recorded the whole thing and I can experience it all again,
You have to see the show at Lollapalooza Argentina 2019. The crowd was on fire!
Iam 52 years old and brings me back in time love theys guys, cant wait tell covid is over and i can go see them
Dude I'm glad to see you found these guys! I was there. I'll admit it, we were a little stoned. Great show though. Great channel man.
Could hear their music 24/7. It´s not like this boring radio shit nowadays. Love the boys! Greetings from Germany
Their performance for Age of Man gives me goosebumps every time! You should check it out. They also released an album this April and it's amazing.
They have the same influences as Zep and people think they sound like Zep not realizing how Zep took so much of their inspiration from the blues. Ive seen them live twice, once opening for METALLICA. They are the real deal, in a world of horrible music, they are MOST WELCOME!

Also, you should do Black Smoke Rising. That’s my favorite!
I've been there...great place...I love it! In from Chicago...not too far away.
You'll thank me for this. Listen to the song.....
...HEAT ABOVE ....
Whoop woohoo‼️‼️
This band are three brothers and a friend in their early twenties. The lead and guitarist are twins and the bassist is the little brother. They wrote this song when they were 15.
This is the first song they wrote togther & recorded together. Original music. Won a Grammy
You, sir, have impeccable taste. I hope you've checked out the rest of their work.
Love this song. I also love "when the curtain falls"
i love seeing people really get into the music that i enjoy as well
I just saw them live. There is no comparison with anything I can make. It was the best show I’ve ever been to. The way they command the stage is second to none

The snow was amazing!
These guys... are fucking crazy good..
All I'm going to say is I don't know many bands the can write something of this caliber much less play there own instruments at any time in their careers much less at the ages of 14 and 16 which is when this was written🕊❤👍👍

Greta van fleet is inspired by their hometown "elder" as they called her. her actual name is Gretna Van Fleet
is 4 young musicians - twin brothers Josh (vocals) and Jake Kiszka (guitar), both 22, younger brother Sam (bass/keys, 19), and longtime friend Danny Wagner (drums, 20).
It’s like the eighties never left! I’m here for it :) Again.
More like the 70s. Led Zeppelin was mostly a 70s band. 😉
Lead guitar and singer are twins. They are 25. Bass guitar baby bro to them 22. Drummer long time family friend also 22. They are from Frankenmuth Michigan. Got band name from a town elder. They just like how it sounded. They wrote highway tune when they were 15 or 16.
This vent was filmed over 3 days & the official versions are much clearer & there will be different audience members too!
Best concert I’ve ever been to was Jack White because it’s Jack white, of course, but also because they don’t allow electronics. They lock your phone in these little punches that you can keep on your person but can’t access it until you leave the venue and the door person opens it with a magnet thing.
Even Robert Plant gave them props
Three brothers, lead guitar Jake Kiszka, vocals and identical twin Josh, bass and keys younger brother Sam.The twins are 24,Sam is 21.The drummer is Daniel Wagner best friend 21 also. They are amazing.
Amazing band and vocals😍😍
Music great best of all your head banging
Just went to your most recent video after watching your Hamilton livestreams to recommend les miserables. It’s quality and I’d love to see your reaction to it.
Either the musical or the movie version. I think the stage version has better singing depending on if you can find a good quality recording of one. But the movie is fine as well.
You’re the One I want is a great song.

I love Jase's head banging away, stops, " is this Led Zeppelin " ?
Also, at this same concert, Jake Kiszka plays behind his head.
Check on UA-cam, Robert Plant, talking about Greta Van Fleet. The singer and lead guitarist are twins. The bass player is there a younger brother the drummer is a friend of the family.
"I bet the lead singer does a killer AC/DC"
I bet he does an even better Robert Plant. I mean, he's doing it in this song right here.
Great Rxn. Same as mine!
They had me at "AAAAAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHA!
Idk if you've heard of them but I'd really love to see you react to within temptation. I recommend iron and solemn hour.
Highway Tune was the first song they write together.
I'm surprised there was no mention of how great Danny's drums are.
The crowed might as well have been card board cut outs. Millennials were all still born!
You are a cool man! I like your Chanel!
Love it ❤❤❤❤
I loved this. Great reaction.
And snow sucks. It keeps snowing randomly here as well.
And Trailer Park Boys? I think? Not Viva La Bam.
Josh despises being called "A Hobbit" also, he changes his hair all the time. Now he has a Mohawk (2023)
I hate people who pretend they dont know something when they react.... its obvious
Check out When the Curtain Falls.
The bored rich people get the front row tics
LOve them
No this is Greta Van Fleet, and they are killng,i am 50 and they have new rock sound
Mate you have to listen to all of their stuff.
They're all in their 20's
Don’t even TAKE your smartphone to a gig.
I love GVF
GVF is bad ass!!!
Hey Jason, if you are looking for some more prog-rock type stuff i can highly recommand Plini - Electric Sunrise.
I'm pretty sure Greta van fleet was a name of a girl they went to school with. They are excellent
Nope, older women who was a musician they admired. They are from my hometown.
There name sounds like a females name because it is!! It was a name of a nice old lady. Her origanal name was Gretna Van Fleet.
You need to check out Dirty Loops "Work Shit Out"
Is this Led Zeppelin? I mean... Undisputed proof that your music is fantastic.
Brothers are Polish 🙂
Safari Song is great
Are you out in CO
Greta Van Fleet is a modified version of an elder womans name from their home town, they thought it was interestingand used it as the name of their band. So you arent wrong about it sounding like a womans name.
Please react to Sabaton - En livstid i krig, live in Gothenburg february 2020.
reminds me of Lynyrd Skynyrd
Greta Van Fleet: What would happen if Led Zeppelin and AC/DC mated.
Have you seen the video for Highway Tune?
m.ua-cam.com/video/aJg4OJxp-co/v-deo.html
u gotta react to edge of darkness by them!!!
Josh voice sounds tired.
Led Copies
Quit saying they sound like zeppelin or ac/dc...clean your 👂 ears out ...stop the cliches
Greta Van Zeppelin. Are they generally good musicians? Absolutely, yes. Is there anything TRULY original sounding about them that we haven't heard before and can't compare to anyone else? NO. Therefore, they're a big YAWN for me.
You obviously haven't heard their most recent music.
Frankenmuth Rocks!
