In this clip, Michael Jai White and Vlad discussed the amount of billionaires in the Chinese Parliament and how that compares to the United States' Congress. The conversation shifted gears as Michael was briefed on the fatal shooting of Sean Reed in Indianapolis. Michael described police officers as the "Revenge of the Nerds" and explained his experience almost entering law enforcement. He then details how he learned that having a high IQ and being critical thinker won't work in the police force. According to Michael, they're only looking for those who are "brainwashable."
Too smart he might get caught up in corruption? More like smart to know corruption when he sees it.
This is one of the coldest, deepest and on point comment I've ever seen on the internet.
Damn. You dropped it heavy with that statement...
It’s a dirty world we live in
That sounds more logical
Hell yea
I can certainly believe they reject people for being too smart. I was once unemployed even though I have a masters degree. Many jobs seek to hire dummy’s they can control. They know that smarter people are harder to control.
Robert Jenkins facts. My supervisors are making 6 figures plus and are dumber than a brick
@ThatBadGuy thank you 🤣🤣
ThatBadGuy this! I was trying to transition from social services to finance. Every interview I went on, one person finally said:
“Listen, I would love to hire you, but what we see is you have all these years of other experience. If you don’t like working here, you can quit.”
That’s it, period. They don’t want people that can leave. In essence, both you guys are right, the don’t want people that can quit. Protecting their bottom line and control.
@ThatBadGuy This is not 100% true. Neil DeGrasse Tyson talks about getting kicked off if jury duty many times, for being too smart and asking too many questions. People in power want to tilt the scales in their direction, and it's best to do that with simpletons.
That exact reason is why I started my own business. Best decision I ever made as an adult. Only regret is I wish I had started in my early 20's.

"Revenge of the nerds" hit the nail right on the head.
Alot of cops used to be the nerds you beat up on gym class.
@Krunchy Vurn Bictim 😂😂😂😂
Or brain dead Jocks who didn't make pro league
Mostly jocks who failed
Nah the nerds become Dr's, Scientist or Millionaires through something early and turn into narcissistic simps. They are usually too late to the party so they indulge in impulsive actions like spending excessive amounts of cash to flaunt status, which in return usually gets them used by Women, thus leaving themselves no choice but to pay for "services".
They a whole other category.
Cops used to be the Nerds way bac in the day but Policing has changed and now pigs are less smart, they want meat heads jocks that could follow orders like a football game. If you're a Nerd and you go into the Police force you're most likely gonna be on desk, but if they're real smart they go to FBI, and if Especially smart they're CIA. Regular cops just infantry, basically..sorta like players on the roster of an NFL team to do their job.

I had this exact thing happen to me when I first left high school! I applied to work at CIBC (a major bank in Canada) and was put through aptitude tests. They were really IQ tests as I had taken several of these in my lifetime as part of a study of children born in 1953 and so knew what they were. I knew I had aced these tests but when they called me in it was to tell me they could not hire me because as they said; "it has been our experience that people who score in the top 10% do not find the work satisfying and do not stay with us."
I was heartbroken because my mother had worked there for years and I knew it would have been a solid career.
Yo a 16 year old account that’s fucking crazy your UA-cam is a year younger then me
My stepdad told me this a long time ago......this does not only apply to cops but also to the army. Just follow orders, dont think, dont ask! They dont want people to challenge them or disobey.

Wow! He's 100% correct. I'm a former cop with a Master's Degree and I resigned because I refused to conform to the cop way of thinking. They almost had me though. They definitely brainwash you into a certain way of thinking. Luckily I have a black queen who made me realize what was happening. I resigned shortly after.
On the first day of the academy, an instructor asked who in their lifetime was ever involved in a physical altercation. Myself, 2 other brothers, and one white guy raised our hands. 4 out of 30 cadets. I say that to say this. Those who are patrolling our streets are people who have never been in a fight. The first thing they will resort to is pulling their firearm. Most, not all, situations can be handled with less lethal force. We have wimps who got picked on as a child patrolling the streets though. It's their way of getting revenge. Power trip!
This is why I say cops are pawns. Talk to their Boss the Mayor.
He's one of the best guest on here hands down. So much to say with good insight & clear perspectives.

6:52 Well I guess his brother is just a service agent now lol
Dude he is so right about that IQ stuff!! I went through the police academy in the city college. It was a joke!! I was about 34 of age, BS degree, street knowledge, and intelligence. You would think that's what they want on the force but they really don't. They are looking for dudes & women in their earlier and late twenties, with no degree and little to no common sense. Basically, a knuckle-dragging cop that needs somebody to think for them. If you a woman in general that scored below the lower class level but with bilingual skill, mainly Spanish, you have a 90% chance to get hired with a local police agency. If you a good test scorer but lack common sense its a good chance you could hire somewhere. They have a good system in the academy to find this type of person. The ones who got hired were the top ten test scores, which they weight a lot on but their scenario scorers were low and some of the dumbest people to have a conversation with. That tells you something about what's out there on the streets patrolling your neighborhoods. This goes the same with state CA corrections as well.
Sean Wheat you sound dumb as shlt. Do you actually think that you’re smart? 😂
What Michael Jai White said is 100% true. There was a similar case of a corrections officer in New London, Connecticut who had the same issue. He scored a 33 on the Wonderlic test (approx IQ being 125), whilst the national average is 21 (approx IQ being 104).
This practice is ubiquitous in the US, because they want candidates who are most likely to follow orders and not question the morality of some of the unethical practices that is inculcated in the police force.
Also what Vlad said about billionaires in Congress is technically true, but he glossed over the fact that over half the members in Congress are millionaires.
A good percentage of them are multi-millionaires whilst making a salary of around $200-260k per year, which is obviously through kick-backs or quid pro quo deals with the highest bidder.
Alexi Barona lol. If you want to further lose your respect for cops, look into Warren v. District of Columbia. It states that cops essentially have no legal obligation to protect the citizens with exception to a special relationship (what that special relationship is exactly...it’s anyone’s guess).
Castle Rock v Gonzales and Deshaney v Winnebago County showed that restraining orders and having personal promises from the police dept. don’t count as a special relationship.
Please just start holding these cops accountable

What MJW said is true. If any cops truly understood superhero characters' philosophy, especially that of Spider-Man (& to an unstated extent, Superman), then they'd realize that with their "power" comes "great responsibility". Just because you have the ability to inflict damage on those you perceive to be the enemy/villains, doesn't mean you are free to or should. It's something I've seen from fellow martial artists. We have the ability to serious harm, but all of them that I've met don't want to even get into fights.

He is 100% Right!!! “Brainwashed” to the max. Sad, but true. I have a relative in “Law Enforcement”, I love him, but, he was a snitch as a kid and he still has that mentality. He’s a follower and because he took an “oath” to follow orders, I’m always careful about my behavior when I’m around him. I can’t trust anyone who takes an oath that would require him to arrest his own Mother. We need “Law Enforcement”, but, according to my Family Member, I have a “Criminals mentality, just because i believe Police are there to “Protect and Serve”, not dictate how one should live their lives. Personally, I make an effort to avoid “Law Enforcement” at all costs.
He sounds dangerous, I would cut him off. You slip up once and he's calling it in.
insomthegreat yeah, in theory you’re right, but, fortunately, he lives 3,000 Miles away and we usually only talk over the phone. Also, I’m not a criminal, so, there really isn’t anything he can do to me. I just have to remember that after 20 years in the military and another 20 years in “Law Enforcement”, he’s been conditioned. The sad part is, these folks sometimes bring the job home with them and it affects their families. He’s not a bad person, it’s the conditioning that happens after all of those years of “following orders”. It seems to cause them to need to hold others by the same standard they’ve become use to. Let me be clear, I understand the need for “Law and Order” in our society, it’s when the person representing that “Law” starts to think THEY are the “LAW”, that’s when things can go bad. We are all human and therefore we are flawed, we will make mistakes. It’s the person who thinks they are perfect and they have a gun and badge that shit can get ugly. Anyway, like I said, I’ve always practiced “Social Distancing” when it comes to “Law Enforcement”!!! 😷🤫🤣😂 be well.
Vlad do the research and go through the video of the man getting “shot down” on face book live. He stated he was going to kill a cop and that he wasn’t going back to prison. He’s posted pics and videos with a gun all over face book and Instagram and if you scrub through the video of when he was shot you can see the distinct gun he had on his waste band. He was reaching so the cops did what the had to do. It’s them or the bad guy. Yeah the joke wasn’t right at the end but he was armed. His gun was orange a black and had a extended clip on it. You can see it when his video went towards his waste band. And he also shot at the cop when he was on the ground. I did the research I know what happened. It’s just the point of view the media wants to portray it.

I was told this exact same thing during my 4 year tour in the Air Force, which is already the Harvard of the armed forces branches. In a nutshell, I had higher ranking personnel, 2-3 with whom I was cool, tell me that I was too headstrong and too much of a thinker with regard to policy, protocol and that old school military mentality that dictated everything - That thinkers challenge, question and propose way too much to be a blind follower. I was told that if there are better ways of doing anything, implementing anything, that they have to be the ones to propose it - That they’d rather fail than be proposed an alternative solution by lower ranks to the problem at hand. To his point, most cops, especially city/county, fit this exact profile of non-thinking loose canons.
He applied for a police job so he could practice his karate moves. And they knew that.
This is an urban legend that happened a long time ago in a case and people ran with it
He sounds like that old drunk uncle at the party who cornered a bunch of people in the one part of the house with no music, just to tell an old war story of when he was deployed with the navy and got some action and then the General made up a whole new medal for just for him because of how exemplary his service was but he lost all his "bb215 paper work" and other miltary equipment in am unfortunate house fire when he lived in Virginia.
King Gee
U all have to take in consideration the era he was in when he applied. Bare minimum requirements, and not a lot of education. Policing have evolved a lot since then with training and education. U still get those bad apples that come through. It’s a lot more balanced now that u have more minorities on the force to help balance some of the bullshyt. When policing high crimes areas and major cities that r predominantly black and brown it’s good to have individuals on the department who can related and understand the social and economical problems that exist. They would care more becuz a lot of them came from that. It’s nothing worse than having a bunch of ppl policing a community that u don’t care about. I always wondered why ppl who don’t know anything about the hood and never had a fight a day in their life think they can come from small towns in the country or wherever they r from and want to police a city like Chicago or NYC. It don’t make any sense lol unless u really want to make change but after a while u going to realize u can’t change shyt. The police job is to be mediators, make a decision for ppl who can’t governor themselves becuz they break laws. Protect and serve the best of ur ability and at least try to reach out to the children and mold them to be role models to set an example for the generations that come after them. There’s a lot more to it as well but that’s just lil bit in a nutshell.

Now I fully get why I’ve been butting heads with my supervisors. 🤔
Why do so many martial artists aspire to be police officers? I don't like this dude.
To be a cop why else, they do more then police. He could also have been hired and a self defense officer teaching the class. I’d rather a person who knows how to actually restrain someone rather then shooting them for nothing.
If you don'tlike the guy its because you don't know anything about the guy and that's kind of sad everyone knows who the hell this guy is
@@deadflexxx Right, I watched him in Blood and Bones when I was young and some other films. He was a badass in all but yet he seems intelligent.
He'd be far less likely to shoot anyone and they're not scared easily. Big pluses
He completely explained why he wanted to become a cop....smh
I get it...being a 20 Airforce veteran. Some jobs are not for some people. Even those with high IQs...I was given a lot the high level process management jobs as a jet engine mechanic. I was a very good mechanic but excelled at the management side of things others did well in other aspects so it get it.
