    Great video and information. I recently found your channel about 6 months ago I definitely enjoy it and share it with others that I know.
    I would like to share one thing the Lucas's stop slip transmission fluid I put it in a Oldsmobile my wife and I had that was slipping really bad I honestly thought it was done with I put that in there drove it for about 8 or 10 blocks and the transmission started shifting somewhat smooth again.
    The more I drove it the smoother it became and I ended up putting about 3,500 more miles on that car before we sold it so yes I'm definitely a believer of that Lucas and stop slip transmission fluid.

    I totally agree about wheels and tires. My 06 came with go cart tires. Company truck and I spent my own money on wheels and tires for correct stance. I got reimbursed after the bosses saw it. Great video Paul. Super sharp. Great info.

    I have the exact truck. 2014 Ram 2500 but Laramie. I have the same annoying issues you have. I'm at 305,000. Worried about the transmission going out but happy I've got 300k so far. Also have a slight oil pan leak which I believe is an engine seal. 2014 and 2015 are the best years I've heard compared to the 5th gens.

    The stealership doesn't want to keep your trucks, hence why replacement parts are sky-high for plastic. They want to sell you a new truck with more problems.

    Paul, tell your guys to look into AlphaOBD. Using that app and an OBDII Bluetooth dongle you can tell the BCM that you have LEDs and it will not give you the error code anymore.

    I bought headlights for my 12014 from Headlight Experts. Factory halogen and I bought their LEDs with the ballast so it wouldn’t trip the light or message. They’ve been great. I bought more for my 2nd gen too.

    Paul you might have created yourself a side business. Take those 4th gens that you can buy from insurance companies that have been wrecked without frane damage, restore the truck and either use them in your fleet or sell for a profit to others in need of a solid truck at a fair price. Win win?

    Hey Paul ebay has some used limited steering wheels for your truck that are in alot better condition for a fraction of the price the stealership offers. Some have buttons on it too (might fix your up/down scrolling issue)

    I have a 2015 Ram 2500 6.7 I’ve had almost since new, tuned and weight reduction at 50k and installed a RevMax trans cooler bypass, stays in tune 2 and I tow a Airstream all over the country, it’s been a great truck just rolled over 109k. I don’t beat on the truck but I do tow if I ever have trans issues a RevMax will go in its place

    Hey Paul how are u doing? I have a question has this happened to u? To start with I have a 2018 ram 3500 dually CC model it has 65,500 miles on it and just Catherine transmission fluid and filter at 62,000 it’s a Aison but anyways never had a hick up at all but the other day I was pulling my 40’ heavy 5th wheel over the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming so I’m in tow haul and exhaust break on pulling up the mountain and I’m not sure the gear I’m in but I would say somewhere in the middle it’s not lugging to bad I thought it was keeping speed. But it stated to make a click noise sounds like the transmission. I herd a click then the truck bucked it did that twice scared the crap out of me so I made the decision to get into it to go the next lower gear for more power and it stoped but every time I got in that certain gear it would click and buck and I would get back into it to get out of that gear. It only clicked and truck bucked in that certain gear not in any other gear do u have a idea what that could be? Thanks Paul have a blessed day

      I completely agree with this. Have had them on my 17 3500 Mega cab and my wife's 18 2500 crew cab for over 3 years now and zero issues, great output, straight plug and play with the factory projector wiring and looks, specially being blacked out with the 18 being a night edition and my 17 being a Delmonico red black out package. Only other one I would even consider is the Alpharex in their top of the line light.

    Paul, I run a 2014, mega Laramie with 130k on the clock. Started popping the VGT actuator communication code about a month ago. Should I spring for a Fleece Cheetah or repair the VGT module? She's missing some exhaust parts as well. The exhaust brake still works flawlessly.

    • @zackjohnson7860
      @zackjohnson7860 Рік тому +1

      I was in your shoes and went with the fleece cheetah instead of just doing the actuator. I do not regret it one bit.

    • @Eastahtata
      @Eastahtata Рік тому

      You could also have an issue with the nozzle ring on the turbo. There are pieces that fall apart and jam up the shaft, so you can have actuator codes when it's actually the turbo

    • @matthewweldin7888
      @matthewweldin7888 Рік тому

      @@Eastahtata Well the turbo runs fine. Code has been intermittent but is staying on permanently now. Truck runs the same however. Everyone performance shop had the Cheetah on sale around thanksgiving for 2500, now everyone is back up to 3000. Oh well, missed out. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for another sale.

      @@pddieselpower I have a 2015 68rfe and it’s been fine just rolled over 100k and I’m tuned with trans tuning. Best thing to do soon as you can buy a RevMax Oil Cooler bypass valve and install best $150 you can spend on that truck. When the stick bypass valve goes bad it’s normally closed and will burn the trans up because it can’t get cooled oil, I used to run 168-175 temps towing now tow 8k+ through Florida temps at 135-145 temps tops
