Toyota Jeff ALWAYS has the best reviews. Thanks Toyota Jeff!
Ordered one exactly the same and upgraded the rims to alloy’s and side moulding. I will put winter tires on the steel rims which makes it easier to switch over in the winter time. Best bang for the buck in my opinion after reviewing other brands and prices.
The winter tire thing is key...the stock tires are garbage in the winter...winter tires make this car unstoppable in the snow
Great review and video as always Jeff! We presently own a 2021 RAV4 XLE PREMIUM, 😊 One of several Toyotas over the past years. As well as Tacoma’s, my favorite Truck 👍💯
Rav4 LE with 17in steel wheels is really good tire size as it have ton of good tire options. Even crazy BFG KO2 A/T options.
Crazy how expensive these base models are now. My mom paid 27.5k for a 2020 LE awd with BSM before covid.
No negative comments, please
They are crazy and greedy as well !! They have price gouged a lot of customers with adding 5k to $20,000 or more over sticker price to certain vehicles.. Especially trucks and high-end SUVs.. and they stick that toyoguard Platinum on a vehicle for $699 and the only benefit you get from it is two oil changes and four tire rotations.. My sister and I both got stuck with that on our purchases.. It's something they won't take off.
@@johnnylongfeather3086 stuff it..😊
@@johnnylongfeather3086all due respect, this isn’t your video and nobody made any comments directly offending somebody. It’s reasonable to say something costs too much in a civil manner and provide an example.

Yes Comrade
🔥🔥 great review!! and the planes 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just bought the LE AWD 2023.. love it. I am waiting for the weather to get better, so I can take it off road... . I don't need the premium, or the XLE.. in previous cars, I had feature like .. and hardly used them.
Beautiful car and interesting man thanks for sharing
The infotainment on the 2023 looks so much better 🎉
I like how Jeff relates to the typical customer usage. thanks Jeff!
Best review on the web. If you want to make it better and add something few youtubers bother with. Provide critical cargo compartment measurements. Put the passenger front seat forward and measure the distance from the rear hatch. Put the rear seat down and measure the height for entering on the side.
It’s reasonable priced until all the unnecessary dealer add ons because you’ll never get a new car from a dealer for less than 30k - guaranteed.
I just wanna know why the actual Toyota salesman at the dealership isn't like this, like actually wanna sell the car smh
Good review on the Toyota RAV4, I am going to buy one here in Canada where I am from.
Nice Dexter reference. Miss that show. Hope the 2nd series carries on
I hope it does too!!
@@Toyotajeff I hope this rav4 is an endorsement in the series hehe
Love the Dexter reference!!
Thanks! Can you do all the 2023 RAV4 trim comparisons please?
Especially 2023 RAV4 trims. Pretty please, Jeff. Thanks.
6:23 I need more car horn!
Thanks Jeff!!! 😂
Another Excellent review Jeff. I learned a lot, but wheel covers and no hybrid I can't live with. People steal wheel covers where I live.
You could buy alloy wheels from your dealer or aftermarket. It's available at the parts shop or you can ask your sales advisor when negotiating the sale.
Can you please speak about the missing roof rails and what the cost to install the rails/cross bars is?
My wife just bought a 2023 XLE. Added on the all-weather package and the dealer had the floor mats at time of pick-up, but has been unable to provide the trunk tray as the parts catalog hasn’t been updated yet. I’m sure it’s the same as the 2022, but they seem unable to figure it out … been a couple weeks now and they still don’t have a clue. 🤦♂️
Jeff, also do a review on the Corolla Cross.
Jeff, when are you going to review and test drive the 2023 Prius Prime??
Jeff, please review Rav4 Limited 2023 non hybrid. Thank you
I've been requesting this thank you for making this jeff what happened to the auto start stop button
The LE does not have the push to start button. It is powered by the turn of the key....the good old fashioned way of driving. If you're looking for that, you'll have to get the higher-end trim models.
@gailenrique2804 I'm talking about the button that u can use to turn offe the auto start stop so when you pull up to a light or stop sign the engine don't shut off
This model would be a good fit 4 me had it also came with blind spot monitoring and heated mirrors. To get just those 2 items I'd have 2 go up 2 the xle. Which kinda sucks. Yeah you get the wheels and a few extras. But I'd get aftermarket wheels, anyway.
I am picking up a black 2024 rav4 LE this week 😮 i been leasing since 2012 but now to lease a 2024 xle they want 1500 down and 485 a month for 36 months. Right now on my 2021 rav xle i put down 1 thousand and 318 a month. I decided to lease 2024 rav LE 1500 down at 395 this will be my last lease. Note i had the 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2021 rav 4 excellent car. Good deal for rav 4 le
Great review, Jeff! It’s basic and perfect for a young family. I wouldn’t have to worry about my 2 and 4 year old ruining the leather seats, etc. Don’t mind not having a sunroof. I never use mine anyways.
right there with you! just bought a '23 LE
please be warned toyota rav4 2023 has a buggy and frustrating media system. they said its made by Panasonic, but how would that matter? basic features like android auto don't work well
@@mohit4902 no problems with Apple CarPlay whatsoever
@@zm6658 may I ask how much did you pay for LE? I am a newbie and dont have knowledge about cars, and I am about to check LE tomorrow.
The leather seat will be easier to clean up if you have a 2 and 4 year old, wouldn't it? Imagine all of the greasy food and drink on those clothe seat, nightmare, with leather, just wipe clean...
Love you
Hi there!!
It's really a nice car..I got it 2 days before..
How much did you pay including all the sales tax, registration fee etc.?
Question about the DRL. If the switch is left on with car off can it drain the battery? I know the lights turn off when you shut car off but still iffy.
I am interested in a RAV4, but I don't want AWD. I use all weather tires anyways and besides a slower start the difference in control isn't much better. Thank you for the video.
Just drove cross country and am super glad we got the AWD. We saw a 2WD rav4 XLE stuck on the side of the roads through WA. Our base model had no issues on icy roads
Can the "auto/on/off" feature be permanently disabled?
😂😂😂😂 awesome!
Nice. Except multimedia screen soft and head lights - no any changes.
It’s a refresh, so that is expected
Where can i find home link system for my garage door?
That RAV4 LE cost the same as a 2019 or 2020 XLE with the sunroof and power seat.. It also had the fog lights.. Toyota is really ridiculous the way they cut things off of vehicles and continuously raise the price!
It about makes me want to change brands !
That’s not Toyota pricing. The dealer added very heavily marked up port installed accessories. For instance, $699 for TOYOGUARD Platinum. That lists 2 oil changes and tire rotations that are already free as part of the included 2 years of scheduled maintenance from the factory. Very disingenuous.
So, you are paying $700 for a lot attendant to run the truck through a car wash and spray some paint protection from a bottle.
Without the SoutheastToyota add-ons, the price is more reasonable.
@@webcomment8895 I'm paying for that as well. I have two tire rotations left. I used the two oil changes.. a worthless package. It is good for 10 years on the oil and tire rotations. I'm surprised if they don't cut that down to 5.
I was thinking the same thing! Go brand new for the same price.
Can you swap the steering wheel to the xse trim afterwards? This is really the only reason why I’m not pulling the trigger on an LE.
There is a sewn-in leather steering wheel cover you can buy online. Has excellent reviews and looks like it left the factory. The steering wheel might have a different connector because higher trim steering wheels usually come with the heated steering wheel, which might have a different connector to one that doesn’t have it, like the LE.
How did you not say plane and simple?
I just bought a 23 RAV4 LE AWD. The only added items were the rubber mats and the mud flaps... I'd have preferred they weren't on there but it's the best I could find after searching for about six weeks... Nice car but just too damn expensive...
How much did you pay if you could share? and which dealership?
@@shirleenz3419 in WA we got ours with a 8% apr for 31k, put down 12K. stealership markups are wack at the moment.
I why do they charge for the delivery?
Looking at trading in the wifes 16 rav4 for a new one. I like the looks of the new rav. She drives nothing but the rav4..loves them. Both of hers shes had were great vehicle's. Reliable and go great in the snow . Debating going with the base or the hybrid
That's exactly what I'm looking for to replace my hyundai tucson I just want a base model I don't need all the bells and whistles now if I can just find one with FWD
VERY NICE SUV FOR DRIVING IN SNOW IN ECO MODE HOW DO YOU CHANGE CABIN AIR FILTERINRAV 4 LE
When's the 24 Camry coming out?
Hmmm hard to say if it will be fall or winter
@@Toyotajeff WHAAAAAAT?! Why not spring/summer?
I just received mine, what were the cables in the glove box?
How much you pay?
2023 RAV4 CarPlay Navigation Issues while connect your phone to use the Apple Map or Google Map. The issues with their navigation over Apple CarPlay randomly putting them off-road, on parallel roads, or even off the route completely, like taking an exit ramp you're not on. If you are own one RAV4 2023, please test it out to see if you having an issue with the CarPlay. Toyota knew the issue.
I don't know if Toyota will take this seriously or not, but it's been so long for them to fix it. I hope more people know about it and complain to your Toyota dealer and open case with Toyota Brand Engagement Center, so they can take action faster.
Thanks.
My sisters that dosent live with me had a 2021 rav4 le then their dad was driving to work then a car crashed on drivers wheel and it was total loss but they bought a 2023 toyota rav4 le awd
And… plane! 😂
I watched the base Santa Fe review an hour or so ago. This guy is funny in both of them. Good overview. As much as I like Toyota and as much as I trust them, I feel like the Santa Fe edges it out a little. That's especially true with regards to the features. Now I have to go back and compare gas mileage and a few other things because I'm really trying to narrow down my choices.
How do you release the trunk from inside the car?
you dont.
Sad no TPMS air pressure system
Missed opportunity to say "Plane.... and simple."
I just purchased the 2023 Toyota RAV4 LE and after driving it for a week I'm having issues with the multimedia player. I'm receiving random calls which I believe My vehicle is calling my cell phone but I'm not hearing any ring or notification that I have a call. What makes this worse is I'm listening to music and all music is stopped until I can hang up the phone but I can't figure out how to do that. On a different note, I randomly have my profile disconnect asking me to enter a pin number and therefore my GPS is shut down while I'm driving. Not sure if this is common for a RAV4 but I am absolutely dissatisfied. Not getting any help from the dealerships nor customer service.
9:00-😂
I still have about 18 moths left until I receive mine :(
I know the feeling. Cars will be able to fly by that time
In the beginning the wrong letters pop up 0:06
My 23' Rav LE came with BSM and was less than this.
Does blind spot monitor come with basic model (2023 rav4 le)?
@@mateo0418 it can come as a package, but usually they charge more. Some dealers do some don’t
@@TheDon6 thank you so much!
Say no to high price
I think its crazy that even for Toyota at $30,000 they have those ugly hubcaps pre-installed. Bleh
Crwzy how the LE takes away a good chunk of basics features for the price I think that's a little ridiculous.
They could have included, the advanced climate control, power conrrol front driver sbd front passanger seats and smart unlock at the very least for the ridiculous price of the base model.
Just bought mine it sounds like a lawnmower 😢 I want to return it.
not under 30k. including magical freight fee+tax+delaer adjustment it is 35k and above!
I got my loaded 2023 XLE AWD for less than that.
Never do business with a dealership charging over sticker. Theres a few out there at MSRP.
The multi media screen has more bezels than actual lcd. This is a joke! lol
I have a 2023 RAV4 , the vehicle is ok, but the rattle and squeaky from the steering column to the glove box to the instrument panel especially on the pitted road surface are sometimes unbearable.
That's what I've read in a lot of reviews. That's a big concern for me.
We put a rear rubber plate cover that fixed the rattling, since theres only two screws that hold it down(no idea why they did that).
.83g
Imagine paying over $30,000 for something that you still have to turn your headlights on at night. Or have the car kill you with its DRLs being on at night and no tail lights🤦🏼♂️ Come on, Toyota.
You should notice that right away
Who would want to purchase a 2wd when the Awd has way better resale value and great for the winter time. On top of that, the gas mpg and sale prices are the same amount....think ppl think!!!
That is nothing compared to people buying 4runner with 2WD.
There's places like florida that don't have to worry about winter plus 2wd has less parts to break/maintain in the long run
My experience having wrenched cars since I was 13, you should think twice about having the extra maintenance of having another differential, cv joints, having to replace all four tires in sets if you ruin just one and the absolute non-necessity of having AWD in southern Arizona. It is winter now and 72 degrees. Nobody I know wants to pay a penny more for $150/hr. flat rate for unnecessary maintenance. I typically keep a car until it no longer drives, usually 300,000-400,000 miles so resale value is no issue.
$31k+ and no CarPlay and hubcaps? Guess you need to but XLE. 🤷♂️
It does have CarPlay.
It’s only that price because the dealer packed it with $1800 worth of overpriced junk add-ons that no customer was asking for.
Nobody shopping for a base LE without even blind spot monitor and premium paint options wants all those port installed junk.
It’s basically priced almost like an XLE without any add-ons.
@@webcomment8895 cool, I didn’t see the CarPlay in the video and was surprised. Thanks👍
Yeah it has wireless CarPlay and AA.
I recently bought one and Seats are not comfortable at all
Mine Too! For me it was lack of lumbar support, but the fix was easy. Found UA-cam video showing the back of the drivers seat has a zipper and 3 or 4 clips at the bottom, when undone and the rear of the seat is exposed you can easily add foam into a compartment on the back. I used somewhat firm white foam that is used in shipping boxes. I added some, drove it for a few days and adjusted it until it fit perfect. Now I am 100% happy. My other issue is I did not like the feeling of the steering wheel, searched Amazon for Rav4 steering wheel cover and found one with over 3,000 good reviews for about $18. Took about 2 minutes to install and it feels great. Those two things made huge improvement in the comfort level.
Too expensive
funny
All that $ and you get plastic wheel covers…phucking awesome!
USELESS!!! You zipped through the settings behind the steering wheel but didn't show HOW you were doing it! Where are the controls???? And those aren't trapezoids.
