Very impressive and hard working. Amazed with how much you did, throw ladder, secure water supply, charge attack lines, assist with the fan and help swap bottles.
Question. How come if your on hydrant water you keep opening and closing the intake? Ate you just filling your tank constantly and flowing that line in tank to pump?
Just by watching it as a mechanic, My mind went to the hydrant is flowing at a faster rate so the tank overflows. I guess he could play the game of find that sweet spot until someone shuts the hose off or turns another one on and the problem resets. So I guess it's just easier to fill it, close it, empty it, and repeat
They're using the pump to boost hydrant pressure normally, but when he needs to shut off the hydrant to change what stuff is attached to it, he switches to pumping water from the tank in order to make sure water flow is steady. Using the pump to boost hydrant pressure rather than filling the tank from the hydrant and pumping from the tank puts a lot less stress on the engine. Notice the engine winds up and runs faster when he starts pumping from the tank.
How come you keep opening/closing the intake valve and then doing the opposite with the tank to pump handle? (Open intake -> Close handle and vise versa). Does this change the discharge pressure of the truck or does it vary depending on each lines specific pressure? Obviously it is dept. specific with SOP and SOG’s but ours is full tank to pump/tank fill and then gauge pressure using the trucks built in system. Is this worse??
@@RCFD-C-Shift I saw. Gotta say man, this is some excellent work. Role model driver. Not only are you doing your job at the panel but you're hopping around the scene sharking everyone else out of a job. Fucking A man.
Just watched Part 1, and thought, “Wow, that was cool,” just for me to scroll down on my home page and see Part 2, less than 5 videos after. This is the content I’m here for.

"Hi Dad"
"What do you need?"
"I need a new bottle"
Love that both fully grown men can still have some banter even in the worse of times.
Dude, you are an exceptional engineer.

Talk about hustle, this guy is a star!!!! Great video very informative.
Thanks for sharing a first person view of this! 👍
Walking away from the other operator back to the engine after confirming pressures and the “fuck yea!” Felt that in my soul lol
Great work man. Way to hustle and keep that water coming.
Thank you for your Fire Fighter Work and Service Safety is always important! 👍👨🚒
Ravenna's pump operator is a phenomenal multi tasker! What is the large control handle that surrounds the large main intake?
This is a great video!
The wheel controls the valve. Opens and closes it
Love the hustle man, thanks for all the hard work!
Being an evt and watching this really helps understand sop to better accommodate departments, thank you.
Dude you're a master at your craft I'm not trolling or joking holy hell I want more of your type......is cloning technology a thing yet?
This guy is amazing. i really hope he sees my comment and makes him feel proud he is amazing
You sir have made excellent content. When my wrist heals up I hope to join my local FD

@@joeywirt7953 yeah but if he’s running directly into the pump from the hydrant, he shouldn’t half to have the tank fell open at all

Leave that 2 1/2 gate on, open the hydrant, open your intake, simple. Stop closing the intake lol
Good video, great hussle. But i can tell you didn't pay for the bottle 😂.
What's the difference between the red hose and the yellow hose? Also. Who figured out that it was arson? I hope that the arsonist is in jail.
They are the same. It just helps us differentiate between the two. She admitted it at the hospital. She is currently in a psychiatric hospital
Bet he slept good that night.
Anyone know who this excellent gentleman is

For ventilation to clear the smoke
@@RCFD-C-ShiftAh, that's what I was assuming. Thanks.
I’m looking into doing fd and wondering how much a engineer works the pumps and fights fires also or if it is just all pumps
Also what do you use as a bodycam
We do it all in this area. Some cities are different but we are trained to do everything here. It just depends what your assignment is for the day
@@Kat_Krazy he is using a GoPro. They make FireCam brand camera but they are not as high quality
how many companies were there
5 or 6 departments. Probably 12 or so vehicles

What does it take to become an Fire engineer?
In northeast Ohio we are all trained as engineers. It just depends on your riding assignment each shift
Thanks.
Curious why you kept opening and closing your intake?
Americans don't know how to fight fires
Wondering the same, guess if he closes it he gets more pressure from the hydrant? No idea.
Fuck yea 🤣
10:42 Was this a fuck yeah or a fuck you?
Why does the engine sound so bad? Almost sound like it’s pumping with the primer stuck or something? Nice hustle !
That’s completely normal. We use CAFS so the sound you hear is the onboard air compressor adding foam and air to our attack lines
Door still open sir
That’s all you got out of this video? 🤦🏻♂️
