    • @darkmanddk
      @darkmanddk 4 роки тому +1

      @@КалоянИлиев-я9т awesome. Thanks for your response. I've come some way but in general, I still find retracting my scabula to be real difficult - maybe because I'm not doing it right when I get into the tucks.

    • @КалоянИлиев-я9т
      @КалоянИлиев-я9т 4 роки тому

      @@darkmanddk Yeah, you need to work on your scapula strength, it is key for the front lever. It is like doing pull ups without first activating your back muscles.
      I think your scapulas should not be FULLY retracted while in the FL position tho because then your lats are weaker. Your shoulders should not be going forward (like in a planche) and they should not be to your ears. That is what I know for sure.
      If you follow this part of the guide I think you will nail your scapula strength. Step 1 is basically used for learning pull ups as well. Then step 2 and 3 are for your upper body to be in the proper position during the front lever.

    • @darkmanddk
      @darkmanddk 4 роки тому +1

      @@КалоянИлиев-я9т thank you for taking the time to respond. I tried to do a scapula workout earlier today with all the info that I gathered. Looking forward to tomorrow if I can feel it, in that case I know I most likely did it right.

    This was a revelation! The first one I’ve seen that realises how hard even tuck front lever is. I’ve definitely been doing it wrong. What’s so good about this is that it’s the first video I’ve seen that creates a structured plan for just getting to the tucked fl. You can see that each exercise in the sequence gets a little easier until you then start adding a harder exercise to start. Also some great skill and strength in his demo doing steps up to the fl
